Fabulous weekend enhanced by this CBD hotel that knows how to excel above others in the little details

The attention to all the small details were really appreciated. Mirror lights, multiple lighting options, heated mirrors to see immediately after a shower has steamed the bedroom, night lights, lots of electric plugs well located, pod coffees, super friendly and professional staff immediately offering assistance on approach, and so much more !

we weren't told our room was automatically on Do Not Disturb and we didn't get serviced so I had to go and tell housekeeping. I was only told why on the last day by housekeeping.This should have been told to us at check in.

The beds and pillows amazingly comfortable wanted to take them home with us. (Please let us know where we can buy your pillows. Best sleep we have had in a hotel.

The wine in the bar downstairs wasn’t the greatest, (the light sav blanc) Felt the breakfast wasn’t worth $45 and also you had to pay extra if you wanted a decent coffee.

Good size, modern fit out, comfortable room. Nice supply of quality soaps, hair wash, hand creams etc. Had a nice view of the cathedral and International Centre.

Challenging to find the way from the carpark to the hotel itself. A number of lifts and walkways. I would recommend using the valet service.

Modern, conveniently located hotel in Auckland for the skydive bus to the airport. Great facilities and awesome rooms (we had superior king). Wish we could have stayed longer!

Perfect location, we will only stay at the Horizon hotel when we visit again!

Everything! The location was perfect. It was only a 5min walk to Queen street and a 10 - 15 min walk to the Viaduct. The staff were incredibly helpful and professional, always ensuring that we had a comfortable stay. The room itself as a great size and extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was fantastic - especially enjoyed the different lighting options and rain shower. We were offered complimentary water every day and it was also a bonus that it's connected to the Sky Tower.

very comfortable hotel. Beds were comfortable, rooms quiet and dark so I had a great sleep. Location was handy for everything I wanted to do in Auckland.

Check in and check out had long queues when I was there and I noticed the same at other times. It could be helpful to have more staff available at busy times to prevent these queues, waits and congestion in the foyer.

A wonderful stay at Horizon!

Completed in August of this year the hotel is very new. The decor is very well thought out, relaxing and detailed oriented; The layout of our room, light switch settings and locations in the rooms, the bed, the curtains (block outs without the usual gaps), the beautiful bathroom, the storage areas are all very cleverly designed.

Would have loved to see a pool in the complex. The sheets were a bit rough.

Hotel is gorgeous and gives luxurious vibes. The facilities, staff and location are absolutely spot on.

I wouldn’t say didn’t like, just uncomfortable in being that we couldn’t adjust the temperature of the room on the heat settings. Was a little too warm and we couldn’t adjust accordingly.

A worthwhile experience.

The hotel was very clean and still feels like a new hotel. It's strategically located for connection with existing facilities and the upcoming Convention Centre, once it's operational. The breakfast provides plenty of variety with attentive staff.

Slight glitch with valet parking, as I was not aware of the entrance to hotel's car park. More info on how to best enter the hotel would help, particularly when arriving after dark,

Affordable - Luxury life for a night or two!

It was a five-star hotel, and it definitely felt like it! Funny enough, I booked it around 1am half asleep without even realising it was five-star, but even still Horizon exceed our expectations, it is luxury! Seriously. Exceptionally tidy, with helpful and friendly staff. The minibar was a hit with our little family, and the Skybridge to the Sky Tower was such a beautiful feature. We’ve found our go-to hotel from now on! I can’t wait to stay again!

Absolutely amazing location and comfort. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and well-connected to their customers. The restaurant experience was fantastic, including the food and the staff, a very observant team, and the service was next level. The suite we had was very spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable. We also really enjoyed the complimentary valet parking as first timers to The Horizon, a very nice touch, thank you. Next time we will try the beef wellington, they looked amazing!

We were disappointed the first night as we were hungry and tired and advised once we arrived at The Grill (restaurant) that we had to have a booking, which no one had advised us about, so maybe some way of making this clear to customers when they check in would be beneficial?
