Nice quiet comfortable stay and central location

Great location, comfortable rooms

Breakfast buffet was not amazing, some better selections of breads and cereals would be good. Or a more extensive à la carte.

A beautiful boutique hotel in a prime location

This small, boutique hotel is in a prime downtown position. It has beautiful decor and a very high standard of cleanliness, and very comfortable beds. The service from the staff was lovely and the breakfast was delicious. Although you have to pay extra for the valet, it was a good convenient option for us. We would stay here again.

Although it wasn't a dealbreaker, our room felt a bit too small. Having your belongings all over the floor of your upmarket room doesn't feel right - a place to put your bags up would be good. Also the vanity is very small, and again, not enough room for your own belongings. Our room did not have any windows to look out to anything (downtown building) so folk might want to bear that in mind, if it's important to them. We didn't mind.

Disappointing. Would not book again.

Location was great.

The room was too small, the T.v was too hard to work. No usb points. Had to ask for a hairdryer. Tea was not replaced daily. This did not feel 5 star more like 3 star.

Lovely front desk welcome, super comfy bed, but make sure you get the room advertised

We had stayed before - it’s central, the beds are super comfy and the foh man Sean was so lovely.

Since we last stayed we thought it wasn’t as good value - we were in a weird corner room with no natural light. Felt like we paid a top price for an average room with no extras to help us make our anniversary feel special.

Disappointing

Location

AC malfunctioned in the middle of the night and we woke up sweating, AC was showing “filter clean needed” message, room was quite cramped and dark, ceiling was so low, shower had no glass around it, missing a towel hook in the bath, someone’s ring was left behind on the bedside table, Nespresso machine was dirty, no drinking water in the room

Mostly Satisfied

Loved the location of the hotel and the clean and very pretty rooms.

We had to remind the concierge that we had booked the spa. The room was too warm, and although we were told there would be complimentary bottles of water on the bench above the fridge, there were none. At breakfast, there was a long wait for our eggs, and they were served about five minutes apart.

I choose it whenever I need to be in the middle of downtown.

Location is perfect for attending anything downtown. It feels a very premium hotel, the restaurant and lounge are lovely.

It can be a little noisy late at night - but that's the price of being down town.

A good comfortable old world hotel charm. Great location and the staff were very courteou and friend

A bit of old world charm. Rooms were good and comfortable with a bit of space. it wasn't too far to walk to the viaduct and other restaurants, bars and attractions.

Breakfast was fairly ordinary. The lifts were very slow and i ended up using the stairs most times

Comfortable stay in the end

Staff were great, very attentive to our needs. Nice building and great central location.

The room we had assigned had no windows and unfortunately the air conditioning was not working well, despite having someone up to check it and test it that didn't help and we suffered through the first night whilst it was incredibly humid in Auckland. Fair play to the staff after we raised the concern again the second night we were moved to a higher floor where the aircon worked very well thankfully and had a comfortable night's sleep. Better to advertise if the rooms have no windows in future to avoid that surprise if not expected.

A bit disappointed, but comfortable enough and good down town location for restaurants and activities.

8th floor room was very hot, not helped by erratic a/c control. Breakfast choices were disappointing- limited fresh fruit, old style cereal options ( no muesli, oats, granola for example). All a bit “corporate” and standard fare.

Only 2 things come to mind! 1. we couldn't for the life of us figure out how to get the chromecast to the TV going (and we consider ourselves pretty tech savy) 2. Extractor fan in the bathroom!!!!

Very poor lattes made in restaurant. Not enough staff, those working in the restaurant were new and did not speak English very well. Scanty food choices for breakfast and food cold.

Dissapointing compared to previous experiences

I have stayed here a few times as I love the location and the styling of the hotel. The rooms are specials and comfortable.

Stayed here a few times before and love it but this time round i found it a little dissapointing compared to my last experience. When we arrived there was nobody at the desk. We sat and waited 10 minutes before anyone arrived. The girl who checked us in seemed rushed and flew us throught the process asking us to sign a document that she thrust at us without explaining what it was or what we needed to sign and basically looked like she wanted to get us through so she could go do other stuff. There was no concierge as there was rhe previous two times and the whole check in experience was lack lustre. Additionally there was only one pillow each in the room with no extras. They were very soft and there was no firm options. Wasn't ideal.

Really nice alucury ccomodation within walking distance to everything we had planned for the weekend.

The property was the perfect location for what we required. Booking.com had a deal on and it looked really nice on the site

No parking, however, downtown carport was in easy walking distance and was $31 from Saturday 3pm to Sunday 1pm

Hotel has a beautiful style & our room was nicely decorated. Bed comfy. Lovely bathroom. Great location.

We were advised our room would have “city views” but our view was of some horrible looking air conditioning vents. It was very loud in the room- banging noises & the air con was incredible noisy so I found it hard to sleep. Water temp was inconsistent in shower. No instant coffee & milk was warm as fridge wasn’t cold. The buffet breakfast was poor

Wouldn't stay here again

Very comfy bed, convenient location.

Room was smaller than expected, was okay for 1 but would have been a tight squeeze for 2, also had less natural light than advertised. Parts of the room seemed tired (hinge broken on cupboard door, tarnishes to metal in bathroom, old / out of date hairdryer). Room was not soundproof (noisy neighbours nextdoor).

Not suitable for disabled people.

Beautiful and great location, good facilities, quiet and comfortable.

It had poor accessibility- I enquired prior to my stay about parking as I needed disability access, I didn’t receive a response, just paid for valet instead. I also asked for a shower chair, they said they’d look into it but didn’t get back to us. Double doors not practical for a wheelchair, no wheelchair ramp up to the main foyer to check in. I should not have to arrange any of this prior accessibility should be available without having to ask. I also found the TV/sound system complicated.
