The staff were great, nice hotel. Good parking.
Cold in restaurant and bar/ dining room. Not pleasant as it was only 3.5 degrees outside. The front and middle doors don’t close properly so a cold wind blows in. Then the doors to breakfast room are left open. Nothing worse than being cold when you’re eating. This needs sorting, I would not return again unless sorted. Food in dining room had to be sent back 1st night. 2nd night my course was tough. Prices are too high for this poor quality.

breakfast was tasty , snug room had everything you needed and the room came with 2 free drinks at the bar
cleaning cloth left in bathroom
8.0 / 10.0
Location excellent, walking distance to village.
Room comfortable, good tea/coffee facilities
Great shower
Too many unnecessary items in relatively small room e.g. massive rubber plant in the way, (making access to sockets tricky), pile of unnecessary books and another plant on bedside table. Books in bathroom. Need the space to be uncluttered.

Location
The only thing that let it down was the breakfast in the morning
The bacon and sour dough bread were rock hard

Location was excellent. Rooms clean, well furnished.
You need to think a little with regards to where mirrors are in the room relative to power sockets?
And room was too warm (yes of course we could turn the radiator down but had to do so in the middle of the night).
Breakfast was tasty but only really a 'light meal'

Food at dinner was tepid and the room was not at a comfortable temperature upon arrival so we had to turn the heating up and switch onan additional heater.

Breakfast whilst temporary kitchen in operation wasn’t to high std

Location and interior’s, lovely fire place and great food dogs!
Bedroom bathroom taps, the hot tap was sooo hot it was dangerous. 90% of the staff were lovely but Sunday morning staff serving breakfast weren’t great, service was poor. Asked for things that weren’t provided, very slow service and generally seemed if we asked for anything extra it was too much work.
Bedroom could do with coat hooks and bathroom needed a shelf

Lovely room, welcoming staff. Quaint and charming.
It was tricky to get to plug sockets but a minor issue only did not detract from how fabulous it was.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful . Especially helpful on reception when we arrived which is much better than with some hotels we have stayed in in the past and a breath of fresh air .
The room was big and bed very comfortable
Nice to have both option of coffee machine and tea facilities
Really nice walk into town .
Food well prepared even though till 30th Jan kitchen on reduced capacity did not notice with the quality of the cooking
We will be back
The room was quiet but in hot weather if you had the windows opened it would louder as close to A40 roundabout . Does get less after 2200
I expect carpets in Hall ways will be next on revamp list
Car park can be busy if arrive near school leaving time children pick ups appear to use it ?

The staff were lovely and did their best.
No heat and hot water. Poor breakfast with only yogurt and fruit for a gluten free option.

A very nice atmosphere and beautiful rooms great location and lots of parking spaces
There wasn't any staff at the reception had to search for someone to check me in could do with a bell or something on the reception desk. The breakfast my partner had was a little bit of a let down as the vegan sausage was awful and my breakfast was made to feed a child but coffee was very nice

I had booked 2 rooms soon after Christmas for a couple of nights . We had a delightful experience staying at Prince of Burford.
One of the rooms got upgraded at check-in to a suite which was great as it was my son’s birthday and I managed to give that room to him.
The staff are welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was delicious on both mornings with a number of cooked options to choose from on their menu. On the first morning I asked them if they could bring something over so we could wish my son happy birthday and they brought a delicious mince pie with a candle. Such a lovely start to celebrating his birthday.
Rooms were comfortable cosy. I was really happy with the location as well as it’s very close to Burford town. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Nothing, so sorry, but it's how I felt. I couldn't wait to leave. This is my personal opinion.
Poor welcome, reception strictly closed until 3pm, large queue of people waiting to check in. Unacceptable.

The location is great. At the top of the hill by the main roundabout (opposite Starbucks and Travelodge) - an easy walk down into the town to reach many independent shops, eateries and pubs.
Parking is free and we had no issues getting a space. The hotel is dog friendly as is the bar area. Room was of a nice design in keeping with the area. Check in and out easy online. Room was ready at 3pm prompt and appreciated the free welcome drink voucher.
The lack of the smart tv not having internet access, therefore the apps don’t work. Although for some this wouldn’t matter I’m sure. The basic live tv worked fine.
We had a family suite, which was a nice size and the interior design was lovely, however, it was showing signs of real wear. Patched up holes with filler that hadn’t been sanded and painted over. General redecoration needed. The carpets on the landings and in our room were heavily stained and should be replaced or deep cleaned.
The bathroom silicone in the shower wasn’t particularly nice and the grout quite grubby. These would be easy quick fixes to make the shower look fresher.
We found the service in the bar and snug restaurant very slow, but maybe running on a skeleton staff due to time of year?

The rooms were clean and tidy,
Breakfast was delicious and the in-house restaurant food was good as well
Staff were very friendly,
Very conveniently located- close to the high street and all cafes and shops

Great location, nice spacious restaurant and nice snug bar. Rooms were just on the right side of Ok.
The common areas such as stairs and landings were pretty disgusting. Carpets were covered in stains and the whole place just felt like it needs a good clean, paint and refresh. Rooms and En-suites also need a refresh based on what they’re charging per night or room rates need reducing. Didn’t feel good value. Evening meal was pretty good, no complaints but Breakfast was pretty grim. Sausages were inedible, bacon undercooked and fatty, eggs devoid of any flavour.

Staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. A genuine case of going above and beyond.
Food was excellent.
Only because it was so busy, access to comfortable seating could be better. But the hotel wanted to maximise their Christmas Day bookings, which was completely understandable.

The building is stunning and very well maintained. Incredible character which has been sympathetically restored. The team are welcoming and friendly. The room was extremely clean, very well decorated and styled and the bed was very comfortable.
The stairs to the bedrooms are a little deep and steep (or maybe I’m just getting old!)

Great location at the top of The Hill. The rooms were compact but beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Lovely en suite bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any local knowledge. Easy access to Oxford and lots of lovely Cotswold villages. The food was very good too and the complimentary drinks were a nice touch

A warm welcome, professional, friendly staff. The food was fantastic and of a high quality . We enjoyed the smoothie offered to us a breakfast too. The room had everything we needed. We liked the coffee machine and the fresh water and milk. It was a good location for The Farmer’s Dog and Burford Garden centre.
Couldn’t fault the Prince of Burford. It was a lovely friendly vibe and of a high standard.

Breakfast was lovely, great choice and all freshly made, not the usual hotel buffet breakfast.
The bar had a great range of drinks too.
Room was lovely, very comfortable bed and a window that opens properly. Good shower and lovely toiletries in the bathroom. Staff were very helpful. The pub was a short walk from a lovely high street too!
It was quite a warm room, we didnt worry too much as the window opened and let a good flow of fresh air in,

the facilities were good, however, i felt disappointed that I had a double room instead of the twin as I thought I had ordered. I don't really know where the mistake happened. Saying that, once this was identifyed I would have expected for staff to be a bit more helpful and not show that response "it is not our mistake". They did not have another room to offer, but they could have offered a separated set of bedding. Instead I had to ask for it and it was s matter of passing the taask to one another. It felt that staff was not keen to do it.
Staff atittude when there was booking misundertanding. Also, there was nothing to say that the room would be loocated within 2 flights of stairs.
Breakfast was a chaos. We woke up earlier to make sure we would be able to park in Bibury easily due to walking difficulties of one in the group. We ordered our breakfast and it took what appeared at least 45 minuts for it to come. There was no information about the reason for the delay and it felt that this was a natural occurency. They could not even bring the juice or coffee we ordered. I could not understand it!

The location was great, really handy for the high street and for visiting some of the local sites. The breakfast was excellent 10/10.
The room was incredibly warm and so we needed to keep the window open all night. The noise from the road in the morning was pretty noticeable.

Beautiful area (despite the roundabout), friendly and attentive staff, amazing breakfast
The pillows were a bit hard for us and it was a bit too warm overnight
