The English style I wanted! Staff were very friendly. Food is amazing. Room was big and clean with L’ocitane amenities. Nice.

Great new year stay.

Great location, friendly staff, lovely pub/restaurant, breakfast was excellent, so much choice.

Our shower only had an overhead, no handheld shower, the overhead shower had a very weak flow, wouldn't have like to have tried to was long thick hair in it. Also think the tv could do with upgrading, had to unplug it to switch it off, standby button on remote didn't work, not a big issue as we weren't away to watch tv just a bit inconvenient if you want to watch tv in bed.

Excellent stay centrally located in market town

The location was great. Lovely little market village with tons of bars and shops. Very close to do Clarkson farm activities. The onsite restaurant was good, the breakfasts were amazing! The room was lovely, the bed really comfy. The toiletries were very luxurious and plenty of them (apart from the loo roll) The tea caddy was also very well stocked.

The shower pressure wasn't great and the toilet paper was really cheap 1ply. There is no onsite parking, which was a bit of a pain. The image of the bathroom for my booking showed a bath, but there was no bath. However it didn't have a bath in the description of the room. So I can't complain, but it just seems odd to use a pic of a different bathroom.

We would go again, excellent family room. Staff were friendly and the restaurant food was excellent.

The family room was perfect for what we needed. Great having the restaurant downstairs. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. They moved a table for us so we could eat with our children before getting them to bed.

Behind the radiators needed a clean. Our daughter accidentally dropped a toy behind it.

Great location in the centre of town and very close to the venue I was attending.

I hadn’t appreciated that there was no on site parking at the hotel until after I’d booked it. Whilst the car park was only a short walk away it was slightly inconvenient with luggage etc.

1 night in Witney

Staff friendly and helpful. Food was very good, we ate breakfast anf evening meal.. Loved the locitaine products in toom,. Bedding felt good quality and clean.

Expected better quality room for the price. Room and whole hotel needs re painting, new carpet, new windows. Shower had low pressure. Noisy room pipework clicking on and off all night. Noise from road and outside pub and we were on the top floor.

Not having a ground floor room as requested, although available. Breakfast extremely disappointing. Fruit juice served with a glass full of ice cubes, tasted more like squash. Artisan bread only that was very 'seeded'. No cereals or marmalade available. Poached eggs (overcooked and hard) served on one slice of artisan toast that was cold and hardly brown, and with no butter on the toast!

For guests in mid-70's, 3 flights of stairs were a big challenge. On the hotel website or room reservation booking site there should have been more detail on access upper floors. If it thst disclaimer had been stated initially, we would have chosen another location.

No longstay parking option, so you need to move your car frequently. There was a generator outside in the courtyard that was very loud, making it hard to sleep.

Very nice stay, good food, lovely staff, but some guests who made noise late in to the night.

Lovely staff. Very comfortable room with good shower. Nice restaurant on site. Good breakfast.

Stayed on a Saturday night and there were people outside making noise until very late, which disturbed our sleep. We should have contacted reception at the time and given them the opportunity to sort it. Lesson learned should the situation arise again.

Sleep and eat at The Blue Boar

Lovely old pub, beautiful decor. Delicious food and excellent veggie options. Excellent location on the High Street.20 minute walk to Sainsbury's, where you can park for under £10, for 24 hrs, via Just Park. Nice town centre with loads of excellent charity shops!

Got upgraded to a superior room but TV remote not working and bedside lamp broken. Not the end of the world but lack of attention to detail is a shame. If you're a light sleeper avoid Room 10... external fan/air con system whirring away through the night.

The location

TV didn’t work in two rooms we stayed in. Telephone didn’t work in either room. Ceiling leaked water on to one of the beds. The staff were the best part of the stay, but for all the inconvenience we went through, at no point were there any offers of a complimentary drink or a reduction in the expensive room rates. Food was of a very average quality and consistency.

good breakfast - lots of choice. Nice old building

Rooms very dated and furniture / carpet curtains etc tired. We had a sofa bed in the family room we had and it was really nasty - stained arms and not comfortable. Room was so small it was impossible to open a suitcase when sofa was in use. Communal areas also not really clean.

Loved our stay, and perfect for what we needed. Accommodation for a local wedding at local Caswell House so an ideal location in a beautiful town with lots on its door. Staff were so lovely and our breakfast was stunning!! Would definitely come back.

Thought some of the decor wasa tiny bit drab but for the price very comfortable and more than you'd expect.
