Breakfast was good.
Nowhere to hang clothes. Not even a peg for coats. No catch on window so safety issue. A child could have fallen out. Toilet brush broken. Towels left in from previous guest. Disgusting stain on one! Sockets behind drawers so had to move them to plug charger and kettle in. Had to stand kettle on drawers to boil as no socket near drinks tray. No teaspoon so had to fish tea bag out with fingers. No car park so had to park anywhere there was a space in the village. Not sure if we even met the landlord/landlady as no introductions made at checkin and didn't see her again during our stay.

Good location for what we were doing, amazing breakfast, cooked fresh to order. Shower was warm and powerful.
Parking was poor, pub was below the room so don’t expect a good nights sleep when pub is busy. Bed was tiny for 2 and very uncomfortable, room smelt of damp.

The price because it includes pets and breakfast.
There was a little bit of dust, but overall no complaints.

Breakfast was good, location was very good. Staff were very friendly.
The pub door slams every time someone comes in, needs a slow release to stop it banging. Could have a main light in bedroom. No plug near coffee table. Could do with somewhere to hang clothes

Lovely quiet location, friendly pub, generous breakfast.
Room was dusty and double bed quite small. Would often stop serving evening meals well before cut-off - fortunately due to close proximity to Witney this was quite easy to rectify.

Staff were brilliant … accepting our very late arrival without issue ( allowing us out of hours access ) and for offering free accommodation for our pet dog .
The great breakfast was made to order ( full English , vegetarian ) .
The historic building ( and village in general ) offers a step back in time … special !
Certain fixtures were in need of tlc / replacement .
Porridge wasn’t on the menu , lol .

We found it very friendly, met a number of locals in the bar. A plus was we have .2 large dogs which fitted in with everyone and that is a big plus. All you need breakfast, evening meal, come and go when ever you please. Many thanks to The Bell Inn.
Cannot think of anything to say to this question.

Lovely place to stay and the host was excellent. Unable to stay for breakfast due to having to leave early morning however the host provided a bag of goodies to take with me. Thank you.

It was far better than I was expecting for the very reasonable price. The rooms were newly decorated in an attractive modern style. The breakfast was cooked to order. The staff were great

I had a really nice stay at The Bell Inn in Witney. The room was comfortable, with an electric heater and complimentary coffee and tea provided. I especially loved that pets are accepted free of charge, such a great bonus nowadays for anyone travelling with a furry friend! Breakfast was included, and the English breakfast was genuinely good. The location is also very convenient: close to Burford, Minster Lovell, charming Cotswolds villages, local farms, and even DIY Kitchens if you're visiting the showroom. It’s a great stop-off between the Cotswolds and London.
The room and corridors could have been cleaner (there were some coffee wrappers left on the floor between the chest of drawerrs and the wall) and spider webs in the hallway. Also, the curtain rail fell off when opening and closing the curtains, which could definitely use fixing.

Breakfast was very good, especially the vegetarian sausages
Because there was a dog in our group we had to eat in the evening in a corner of the very noisy bar area which was quite small.

The property is hard to find at night time especially in the dark. Arrived and was told there was no room even tho we had a booking but the man then realised he was on the wrong page but this caused panic. There was also a mix up of rooms and one of our rooms was given to the wrong person so they had to move before my MIL could go in there.
The rooms could have done with an extra clean imo. Staff were pleasant. Young girl severing us at dinner was amazing so helpful friendly and made our stay. Food at dinner was very good and breakfast they were accommodating.
Very nosey place to stay as you can hear the pub downstairs and also being an old building could hear pipe works etc.
Overall a pleasant stay

Lovely property in a gorgeous village rooms were clean and comfortable and staff were great
The only problem we found was there wasn't a wardrobe to hang clothes just drawers and maybe more plug sockets near a mirror .

I don't like to give a bad review, but I will give an honest one. The staff were very friendly, the food was ample. It was pub grub, but we've no complaint about that. It was nice, plenty of it and the prices of both food and drink were fair. The beds were comfortable and we both slept well. It was quiet, and the bar itself had a nice atmosphere, particularly with it being used mostly by locals, and the log fire was pleasant and very warm. Breakfast was good. The meal times are restricted, evening meal is between 6pm and 8pm with last orders at 7.45 pm. Don't be late! Breakfast is between 9-10am. There was a nice ambiance to the place. There is also good wi-fi.
The bedroom was a bit small. It was two single beds. They were at an angle as the end wall was built at an angle. There were two bedside tables, a built in desk/large shelf and a chair. A fast working radiator and an en suite bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. As I previously said, we slept very well. The beds were comfortable. The problems with the room are that there is nowhere to hang any clothes. There is no room for a wardrobe, and the space that could have been using for hanging clothes was used to hang a picture, this was above the desk/shelf. To be honest, the chair was a waste of space, only one bedside table was really needed, and that would have given a little more room. The area above the desk could have had some coat hooks placed there so at least there was somewhere to hang clothes, as it was they were either on the desk or the floor. I'm sorry to say, but the shower was worse than useless. It looks good, but the pressure was almost non existent. The toilet seat needs re-fixing as it is very, very, loose. The morning we left, we realised there was an issue with the toilet cistern filling up. It took a very long time, and when we returned to the room after breakfast, we could not flush it as there was no water in the cistern. I would have informed the landlord, but when we left we could not find anyone, despite calling out, so we left the key on the bar and left. Fortunately we had paid the night before, otherwise we would have had to wait until the landlord reappeared, and we just did not know where he was. So although there were the above issues, the actual pub experience was good. I don't want to be rude about our stay as it was actually ok. A bit quirky, but it all adds to the experience. The landlord was very friendly, and it would have been nice to say goodbye and mention the toilet at least, we just couldn't find him.

2 minutes from Witney, small village off of main road, no yellow lines and peaceful, Andy is very attentive landlord, good selection of beers and wine and very good breakfast and evening meal, rooms recently redecorated and comfortable, we have stayed here several time's since we live in Portugal and our son and family live in Witney, so the Bell is always our 1st choice , P.S. thanks for the glass Andy, see you next time

Friendly reception. Good supper was kindly provided after normal hours. Good packed lunch which we chose instead of breakfast. Pretty village. Very good value for money compared to other places nearby.
Menu was simple - but we were content with that.

the location was perfect close to lots of attractions like oxford, crocodile world and cotswold willife park. Our main like was the in itself it has age and character and the host was exceptional. The breakfasts were good and with there being a restaurant we could arrange an excellent evening meal so leaving our day free to do as we pleased
the one small niggle is that the inn has just gone through a refurbishment and is at the snagging stage with workmen still about during the day. But once this is finished this small niggle will disappear

Location was perfect for my contract. Clean and comfortable room and a great breakfast.
WiFi not that strong but I think the whole of the Cotswolds has a weak signal.

Great value, quaint little village, comfy/cosy room and the free breakfast had quite a few decent options (better than expected!). Exactly what we were after!
For the price, I don’t think you could beat it. The room/bathroom was a little basic and not perfect but it was cosy and comfy and perfect for a short stay in the Cotswolds!
