We have stayed in summer and garden fabulous but in the autumn winter It’s just a big hug ! Log fire and Lovely atmosphere in the bar /restaurant , staff lovely
I think a bigger space for just chilling ,ie mure sofas ,there are 2chairs around a fire if not busy !

The Inn was cosy and comfortable with the lovely fire and great food. Very dog friendly. Spacious room. Would definitely recommend for a quiet stay.
The parking is very very limited and we had to park our car on the road for the duration which wasn’t ideal but if you can managed to nag one of the spaces then it’s fine. Majority of the staff were very lovely, welcoming and accommodating, however there was one waitress that made several personal comments about our dog which were super unhelpful & upsetting, then proceeded to keep coming over and touching her and winding her up but then making more comments about her being too excited. Then a different waitress was visibly very annoyed and frustrated with another customer while he was settling his bill which was slightly uncomfortable as I was next in line to be seen.
No fridge in our room to store our dog food and our personal items.
You could hear every door slam at all times of the day, but this is because they are fire doors so I appreciate this can’t be helped, so if your a light sleeper then maybe bring ear plugs.

Delicious breakfast with a good selection choices.

Lovely pub, well cared for and cosy. Room nice, with a bath in the room.
There was no separate shower so trying to shower and wash hair was quite awkward in the bath.
The staff were quite abrupt and the service in the restaurant wasn’t great. The staff weren’t attentive or that friendly. One left us standing waiting for our table for ages and another asked if we wanted the dessert menu but then disappeared. The food was nice but expensive for what it was. Mains don’t come with anything so you had to pay extra for chips/potatoes etc.
The staff also dumped all their coats and bags, and even lunch, on the windowsill outside our bedroom which was a bit odd.
There’s nothing really in the village so it’s not the best location to wander about.

Location was fantastic in a beautiful, quiet Cotswolds village. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast, evening meal and pizzas were delicious. Room was spacious with a lovely free standing bath. We traveled with our dog, the pub/hotel was very dog friendly.
Nothing not to like. Some prior reviews commented on carpet stains, whilst this really didn’t bother us, new carpets were bing put down as we left.

The staff were amazing! Danny, Luca and the v young man whose name we didn’t catch are all standout people who made our stay lovely. Our room (the Cob) was stunning and so spacious. Our dog loved all the attention she got in the bar and restaurant areas, and we loved the decor. The breakfast was exceptional.
We had a very immaterial muddle with rooms upon arrival, and despite us insisting it wasn’t any issue, the staff went above and beyond to make sure things were resolved and gave us a glass of champagne each. The attentiveness to detail and service is very good.
Due to it being an old building, the walls are thin. We could hear every single noise from upstairs whilst in our room. Clear conversation, music and heavy footsteps. Luckily didn’t go on too late into the night. But I recommend bringing earplugs!
Otherwise, all lovely.

Great location. Great service from staff. Food excellent. However we had to change rooms due to only one window that you could not open due to it rotting Next room good but all bedding was feathered which I’m allergic to, towels need replacing as they are old and grey. Duvet cover needs up grading mattress needs a mattress protector topper needs a protector. Rug needs cleaning lots of stains Upholstery needs cleaning
I’ve already specified what I do like. The above is what I don’t like. Sorry comments above in wrong box. Great staff very friendly. Food was excellent. Great location good size room attention needs to be placed on beds protectors and bedding and towels Specifically on stained rugs. Stains on arm chairs

Quite a nice place to stay but we had a few issues, there was no air conditioning & it was unbearably hot, a fan was provided for the bedroom but it wasn’t good, the toilet was downstairs & so if it was required during the night we had to go down some steep stairs which my 85 yr old mum struggled with & also my 10 year old grandson wasn’t able to go down on his own, each night we just had a bowl of chips for our evening meal because the food was very posh & not traditional everyday food, staff were pleasant, car parking spaces should be reserved for guests staying at the hotel because one night that we came back I couldn’t find a parking space and had to drive round and round , I ended up dropping my mum & grandson off to go to the room so I could find somewhere to park after a long day out

Beautiful, remote location that was really well presented. Scarlett was extremely lovely and very helpful in getting me checked in and helping me with ordering a taxi!
The only slight issue was the room was very hot but the staff had provided an air conditioned unit to try and keep me cool!!!!

Nice pub in a great location.
We stopped off here with some friends for the night on our Cotswold cycle tour. A very nice friendly village pub with an attractive courtyard garden.
Our room was very comfortable and clean.
The pub was kind enough to let us park our expensive e-bikes in a locked room for the night.
We had an excellent evening meal which surpassed our expectations. I had fish and chips which had a superb Hawkstone beer batter which melted in your mouth, possibly the best fish and chips I have had in a long time.
Good value for money.
Just a note to be aware of. Our friends had a beautiful room but unfortunately it was the room above the kitchen which made it unbearably hot and smelly due to the kitchen fumes. Please avoid booking this room.
The management were very apologetic and gave us a free breakfast as a gesture of goodwill, which was very kind. It seems to be just this one room that is affected.

Quaint location
Overwhelming heat, no ventilation and room had not been serviced prior to arrival. Even the tv needed tuning in

The town is beautiful, we had a long walk around a field. The hotel is spectacular with the most beautiful garden where we ate dinner. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Loved the location, the chilled vibe and the gorgeous courtyard. Great menu choices for meals. Breakfast was plentiful and so tasty. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Really enjoyed my stay!

Service at lunch was a lot to be desired but luckily we were not in a hurry ,

I was in Room 6 : it was like being in a hot room .
One window didn't open and the current Dyson cooling fan is not adequate for the heat .
The electric points are too far from the mirror making getting ready for a wedding difficult . This room needs sorting fast and is not right for customer in the summer months
The room Too Hot
Dyson system needs a better one or a proper air conditioning system
Electric sockets need moving .
Price point should be less than £75
Please note Tripadvisor has a very poor review from June 2024 highlighting the same problems - so no management action has been taken !

Really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the location was wonderful.
We didn't realise that we needed to pay extra for a cooked breakfast. That probably needs to be mentioned on booking.com.
It didn't spoil our stay at all.

Beautiful room and bathroom. Outside areas are stunning. Stayed for dinner and was excellent, delicious food and great service.
Were unable to cater for my dietary requirements at breakfast, no dairy free yoghurt or spread. But fruit and toast were available.

Really pretty, lovely outdoor space and had some very thoughtful details around the place. Loved the maps
For being so out the way it was a lot more expensive than other pub hotels. It’s also a bit cheeky to then charge for hot breakfast at £295/night for a pub
