Cosy country pub with comfortable rooms. Loved the real fire and nice touches in the room.

Restaurant was closed due to kitchen refurbishment but we had been informed prior to our arrival.

Area is beautiful, pub is beautiful to look at inside and out, staff were really helpful and friendly even gave me a flask of milk for our morning coffees. Room was lovely, so cosy, stupidly comfortable bed I've not slept so good in ages. Even a complimentary bottle of bitter, 2 cans of water and a bottle opener magnet which I sadly forgot to take home! We came to visit the hawkstone brewery which was fantastic I couldn't recommend this place to stay of visiting there, or the area enough. Thanks so much:)

Great pub, lovely breakfast and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Loved the flask of fresh milk they give you to use in tea and coffee in the room.

It was November and the room was uncomfortably hot. We turned off the heater in the bedroom but it was still too warm. Unfortunately the window didn’t open so there was no way to cool the room

Good position for our needs and friendly staff

Location of the room, room description as luxury was misleading, it certainly wasn’t luxurious, it was too small, the bathroom was tiny, the wardrobe was not fit for purpose, electrics we’re weird, overpriced for the quality of the room, would expect breakfast to be included at that price. Stayed in another hotel in the area two weeks earlier, accommodation was superb, location superb, breakfast included at a slightly lower price.

Brilliant stay great place would go back

Brilliant stay exceptional food and drink . The owner/manager is a great nothing was a problem. We would defo go back.

Only small criticism is the speakers from the restaurant went on at 7:30am when it opened for breakfast even though at the low level downstairs in restaurant they can be heard in room one through floor as there mounted high level near ceiling . It Didn’t affect the first morning we was there as was up early to get out for the day but second morning as I wanted to lay in a bit they did.

The pub is lovely and cosy with lots of traditional features. Breakfast was good value if bought with the stay. The rooms are small but cosy, with everything you need. The bathroom was small amd could do with a lick of paint, but again, everything was good. Plenty of parking on site.

The bathroom ceiling above the shower was all flaky and black mould in places. This is due to the small size and inadequate ventilation.

Great little cottage centrally located. Ideal for 2 or small family.

neat compact comfortable and spotlessly clean. It was well equiped and in a nice quiet close.

Sat nav didn't recognise Stanley Close and we ended up having to reverse back down a narrow winding lane, 'happens alot' a resident told us. Eventually found it first right off Albion Street. Instructions would be good for future visitors.

Room was okay, comfy bed. Was able to access the room earlier to drop off luggage before going onto a wedding locally.

Bathroom is tiny, could just about open shower door without hitting the toilet seat. Breakfast was extra cost on top of room rate.

Great central location with free parking. The staff here were fantastic, so friendly & helpful, the manager is exceptional, really made our 2 night stay here memorable. Very clean room & en-suite. Lots of lovely extras including a free bottle of beer in the room. The restaurant was busy, so glad we’d booked, food was delicious, can highly recommended the chicken Kiev.

Minor issue, a mirror above the dressing table would have made drying my hair so much easier.

Really lovely and we will be back!

Great friendly atmosphere, sufficient car parking, central location to local amenities and other villages - Bourton on the Water, Burford etc, and 5 minute drive to Diddly Squat Farm!!

Only downside is that it could be a little noisy as it is a pub, but it’s not really a dislike as it added to the local vibe.
