Absolutley nothing! There was nothing to like. Pretty much would have slept in my car had it not been so cold.
On arrival we were greeted by a member of staff who looked like he would rather be anywhere else.
He showed us to the room, room 12 he quite quickly left. As soon as we went in you could here a loud buzzing and banging noise which was super loud, the room floor was so unlevel and there were outside walls on the inside, think old farm house barn.
We stayed in the room 10 minutes and could not take the noise anymore. I approached said staff member and informed him about the noise his response oh yes we know it’s above the kitchen and the industrial fans are on. I asked him for the need for the fans as they don’t serve food, he shrugged his shoulders, I told him I cannot stay in that room with the noise he looked at me like I had 3 heads and then informed me they should go off at 9pm oh right ok I’ll just stay out of the room I’ve paid for till 9pm then.
I requested a room change again I got the look akin to what I would give if I saw a person with 3 heads. Knew I was going to get nowhere so phoned booking.com representative was less than helpful told me he’d emailed the hotel and they’d have a response for me in 48 hours, all well and good but I’d only booked a 2 day stay thank the lord. I was then informed they’d move me to another hotel and I’d get an email in 4 hours. 4 hours came and went. I called again to have to go through all the same questions again to be asked if there was a party going on I didn’t like? Nope I love a party me so I’d enjoy that! What I don’t like is DNA’s constantly buzzing howling and banging at full volume.
They agreed to move me rooms hallelujah, moved to room 4 and was told it was an upgrade!!! Result I think until I walk in. Walking across the floor was like climbing Kilimanjaro, don’t use the shower then pee because the toilet overflows upon flushing, also don’t morning pee and brush your teeth either it’s one or the other I’m afraid.

Nice location in Chipping Norton. We stayed 2 nights and had a car, and were very grateful that there was always a car spot available at the hotel (they only have 4 spaces so cannot guarantee this). The tea and coffee facilities and complimentary biscuits were appreciated.
The room was very small and there were no hooks anywhere - not even to hang towels in the tiny bathroom - and there was very limited bench space to put anything. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows lumpy, and a wall shelf was broken. It was also noisy - which we expected since it was made clear that the room is above a pub and on a busy road - however it wouldn't have been as bad if the window hadn't been broken - it couldn't close properly so the street noise was a problem. It was also cold sometimes and there is no control over the heating - we were told it was on a timer. We were expecting it to be rustic and have "character", which was certainly the case, but unfortunately due to lack of maintenance and basic comforts we didn't enjoy our 2 night stay.

Staff were friendly and communicated well before my stay. The bed was comfortable. Good welcoming pub atmosphere.
The room being accessible from the outside was useful for my early start. Cleaning and bar staff were friendly and pleasant.
The toilet seat was loose and ill fitting against the handle and takes some persuasion to flush (ball cock or diaphragm probably failing).
The shower was incredibly temperamental vascilating between scalding and freezing. - I suspect the element is going. The window was held shut with a bit of paper.
The bathroom was small.
There was little to no soundproofing between the rooms meaning that every utterance could be heard from other guests and every door slammed.

Perfect location for our visit to the local area visiting Clarksons Farm, The cotswold Wildlife centre and Crocodiles of the world. Comfortable beds and plenty of tea/Coffee/hot chocolate. Clean linen and towels and nice touch with shampoo/body wash and soap sachets.
The noise was terrible in our room (12) between 6pm until around 10pm sounded like a jet engine in our room combined with the loudest rap type music coming from somewhere however not sure it was the pub attached?! Loud pub guests and banging from somewhere was terrible again until about 10pm ish so glad we had the noisy room as my 10 year old and other family go to bed early and would have struggled with the noise. Mouldy grout in shower, sister staying in another room had to come and use our kettle as their kettle was disgusting. No information given about check out procedure and all pub doors locked when we left in the morning so just left keys in the doors. Bad smell on entering room 11 which came and went, smelt like sewers.

The pub it'self was actually pretty large, but it didn't feel large at all. It was really cosy with the way it was laid out, comfy chairs, Multifuel-type gas stove. The beer was lovely, as was the wine, and fairly priced. I think there was a games room too, though I didn't go into it. It is a lovely, homely pub frequented by locals, rather than a characterless 'bijou' affair like many places these days.
The staff were fantastic & helpful; asking if I needed or wanted anything & responding immediately if the answer was yes.
The Pizza was good too.
The single room was better than I expected. It was, indeed quite small, but not as small as I expected & it was quirky and well designed to use the space available. It was very good value for money for a single person.
The carpark is, indeed, small & rather awkward. There's room for about 4 cars if they aren't too huge & are parked sensitively. But it's a lovely old building and that's the only space they have available. There are carparks a few minutes walk away, that you can park for free for 12 hours in 24.

I liked the price, and the staff were friendly.
I travel a lot for work so finding good budget options is often on the cards for me. The bed was the most uncomfortable ive ever slept in. Could feel every single spring. I even used the bath towel to give them some cushioning! Terrible that said towel probably doubled the original comfort.
The window didn't close so I had to wedge with some cardboard. Cold room as window had been open and no option to put heating on.
About 60 milk cartons but no tea or coffee.
At 11pm someone was rummaging outside of rooms trying to put keys in locks and get into his room ( after overhearing his failed voicemails to who I assume is the kings arms stating " my keys don't work can you let me in your room"
He was an odd character and definitely not sober. There is no external door so he could have been anyone who had just walked off the street.
expected more for £65 a night. Considering most premier inns are £60/70 and as an ex hotelier they need to up there game.
The room was fairly clean and quiet however. Shower was fine.
Im not a fussy guy and don't expect a 5 star stay. Just a bed that doesn't feel like a spring led sports massage.

It was very dated but generally very clean and the chap at the bar very friendly.
Too hot ! Windows open fan on still too hot!!! Carpet puckers ( trip hazard!) shower head needed replacing 🤮! Don’t book if you have any walking issues the stairs to the rooms are very awkward and no proper handrails ( the building is clearly very old though ).

The car park was a problem as only 4 cars that’s ok but I got blocked in but a 5 car to which stopped me going to see my grandkids and it clearly says on website only 4 cars and people are told not block cars in so was very disappointed with this if there was an emergency I could not of got out this I feel needs to be addressed

Being above the pub it was a little noisy but nothing worse than expected. It was a really nice location to walk into the town in the morning. There are lots of nice cafes near-by all walking distance. There was wifi in the room which worked well enough to watch a movie in bed no problems.
THE CARPARK! Parking was a real issue. There are a few "long stay" car parks near by, but you can only stay there for 12hrs in a 24hr period. Which honestly became really tricky. The streets near-by are maximum stay 30mins during the day. So I was really stressed trying to move my car about in the mornings to ensure I had a parking space. I'd not have booked the room if I knew I would have been that stressed!! There are only 4 spaces here. So if you're coming by car, make sure you plan where you'll be leaving it. The shower also only operated as boiling hot or freezing cold. Not so fun to wash my hair.

The location is fantastic. Free long term parking less than 5 minutes walk.
Next time I would get the upstairs rooms to avoid the very creaky floorboards. Whenever upstairs guests were moving around we heard them.

Booked for a special treat for my son + partner. Room had clearly not been cleaned since previous guests had left. Room looked very tired + scruffy. Shelf hanging off wall. Window wouldn’t shut. No Management available to sort out issues. Eventually got someone to change bed. Again in the morning no Manager available so left keys with chambermaid. I found them alternative accommodation for the next night.

Lovely room, I was staying with my son and the room was spacious and bed was very large.
Parking, there were only four spaces and I was lucky as my friend literally lives around the corner so I was able to park my car at her flat.

Checkin/ check out was very simple. Staff friendly. Room was comfortable and clean. Arrived on a very hot day to find a fan in the room switched on, that was much needed. Bedding nice and clean and towels were large. Ample milk cartons and tea/coffee, and small packets of biscuits. Shower was easy to use and strong flow.
No hangers in the wardrobe.

It was in an ideal place and you could access without going into the pub.
There was very limited parking. We also had a loud extractor fan noise next to our room. It stopped by 10 and then it was quieter than our home.

Very convenient location in Chipping Norton! And great if you manage to park in the pubs available parking.
Windows didn’t close properly (appreciate its an old building) which meant for a very noisy late evening and early morning with road traffic passing by.

Loved the location. The beer garden had sun on it all day. The pizza was amazing from the kitchens next to the pub. There was a band on called The Rebound who were fabulous so we had an added bonus of free entertainment all night. Atmosphere was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were lovely and friendly.
Our room was above the kitchen so was very noisy up to 7pm but then absolutely fine when kitchen closed. We were out all day so it was not a problem for us but it’s the only negative to mention.

It was a nice room good location plenty of space in the bar. A nice outdoor area. I would stay there again.
Room window didn’t close so had the full noise of the traffic. A shame no real food was available in the hotel. TV Didn’t work. And wooden beam right outside my door was abit hard to navigate.
