The Manor House Hotel

Room was spacious with several windows overlooking the garden. Furnishings and decor were in keeping with the style of the building. We enjoyed the bar menu steak sandwich and the plentiful breakfast. Parking was good and staff were helpful. The library/ sitting room is a nice place to sit and read. There were lots of nice touches in the room including delicious shortbread and bathrobes. Also none of the annoying packets of milk but a little bottle which was much better.

The tv wouldn’t work properly, we could probably have made a fuss but it was getting late when we discovered this. The bathroom was mostly good with lovely toiletries but the grout in the shower was badly discoloured and off putting which I didn’t expect in a room at this cost.

It was a lovely building in a lovely setting

The room we had was stuck up in the attic. It was really warm and all we had was a fan that didn’t really do anything. He couldn’t see out the windows. It was almost like being in a prison cell.

The property was old on the outside but inside kept lovely rooms were big and spacious. Everything was clean. Beds were comfortable. Staff was amazing. Food was lovely. Would go back again.

The restaurant and garden area were very pretty; and the building itself. Good food, too. Staff were not very helpful, so service was very average.

I didn’t like the customer service:reception staff, and the room was cute but lots of scuffs on the wall and lots of dust near the kettle (that didn’t work) and on some of the electrical cords in that area.
