Quiet Stopover in the Cotswolds

Very comfortable, well appointed, good sized quiet room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Fish and Chips for dinner were exceptional, and the breakfast was good too. I particularly liked how quiet the room was - for a good night's sleep.

The reception area was being decorated so there was some disruption. I couldn't get a telephone signal in the hotel and it was pouring with rain outside. It would be nice to have some real ale in the bar as befits a countryside "Inn"

Thank you for a Magical Christmas Stay at The Holt Hotel

The management staff are very tentative and welcoming, hence why my husband and I keep returning. The property is stunning has character that dates back ages ago. The car park is “massive” NO ADDITIONAL PAYMENT is requirement that’s great always plenty of parking front and back. The hotel is very clean. Our Christmas Day meal was excellent even though they had to cater for 180 guests. Lovely gardens that are kept very well maintained, this time though we could NOT venture out as the temperature outside was very cold for December but at a glance the gardens look lovely. Our Room number 41 for the duration, was perfect for our stay, the management staff added little touches in the room for us as it was Christmas. Thank you to Jupe, Charlie and Staff at The Holt Hotel for making our Christmas stay truly magical. We will visit you again soon for another enjoyable stay.

We loved the look and decor. The food was amazing and overall we had a fantastic time and intend on coming again.

I regret choosing this hotel. As some rest and sleep were what was required, it failed.

The reception staff were very likeable and professional, and my room was clean.

The noise! Standard rooms, I now understand from the receptionist, are on the side of the hotel which is right next to a busy road with a large garage opposite. The traffic was constant until after midnight, and started again in volume around 0630, with random motorbikes and cars in between. I was breaking a 500 mile drive at The Holt, and found the very short night of fitful sleep to useless in terms of rest.

Very comfortable for an overnight stay

As a lady on my own I was looked after by the staff and felt safe and comfortable in the public rooms.

Some of the breakfast items had been on the hot buffet too long and were dried up and hard.

Hotel was excellent Compfy bed very good breakfast and evening meal. Hotel in ideal location. Would like to stay in the spring or summer garden looks great for a couple of days stay to visit local attractions

Fabulous room but ladybugs and food let our stay down.

The room was very nice, the bed and bedding were very comfortable and gave me and my partner a lovely night's sleep. We were really impressed by the decoration, furnishings and bathroomm

Unfortunately, there were numerous ladybirds in the room, which was annoying and a bit of put off . The food was average and did not warrant the price tag, especially the evening meal. The buffet has great potential but was not restocked in terms of continental. The cooked food did not taste fresh, and the bacon was seriously overdone.

Lovely appearance, looks very country hotel, quite homely interior design as well. Stayed in a deluxe room, bed was very comfy, decor was good, updated but kept some country charm imo. The bathroom was really nice and spacious with a good shower. Breakfast was decent, not the best options but still enough

TV was quite far from the bed No iron/iron board in room, you have to request Due to the roof section in our room (room 50) the bed was moved over towards the wardrobe, which meant it couldn't open very well. We typically live out of our suitcases on short stays so this was more of an inconvenience. TV remote didn't work had to turn off TV at wall, again minor inconvenience Creaky floorboards in common areas Room was very warm throughout, which some might say is a good thing 😂
