One night stay for business

Character features. Nice coffee, biscuits and water supplied. Liked the smell of the soap & lotion. There’s even a Dyson fan if needed!

Room was right on the road so could hear the traffic even with the windows double glazed. Even though the traffic was lighter through the evening, it was still disturbing. Also there was a stain on the duvet cover top & bottom. Which was covered by the blanket. Only noticed when going to bed.

Lovely hotel, great pub downstairs, good breakfast

Good for a night

The location is very close to Oxford and Woodstock itself is a lovely little town. The rooms were spaceous, and the breakfast was great. It's also nice that you get a discount at the inn's restaurant if you're a hotel guest.

The rooms were not very clean, there was some mold in the bathroom in the shower and the faucet sometimes didn't work.

Very disappointed the hotel wasn’t up to our expectations after previous visits here have very good.

Location. Room was just about OK, as was the breakfasts. Staff were pleasant enough.

Have stayed here a few times in the past. The place is tired and cleanliness was poor. When we arrived our room had a half drunk glass of water left by the bed, the bathroom was grubby and the toilet was left unflushed ! Breakfast was just about OK but not as good as on previous occasions. Carpets in the communal area needed hoovering and the hotel entrance was very dirty throughout our stay. The whole hotel was not to the standard as previous visits.

I took my daughter to see the Blenheim Lights for her birthday - Molly arranged for a bottle of prosecco in the bedroom as a gift which was really thoughtful! All staff were great, helpful and friendly

Clean room .

Staff member facilitating check in was very abrupt and not particularly friendly . Refuge collection outside bedroom window was very noisy from 5:30 am onwards both mornings of our stay which significantly affected sleep.

Our second stay here.

There were a couple of issues with the room that were rectified straight away. We were in 'Alfred' room again and it's very cosy. We both slept very well as the beds are comfy.

Dirty glasses,one had a lipstick mark on it, the other lots of water stains.

Unable to open one window blind as completely damaged and the other blind was very badly damaged; one of the pillows just should not have been on the bed but in the bin; Breakfast very disappointing and the staff inconsistent

The property was in an ideal location for Blenheim Palace which allowed you to walk in to the grounds of Blenheim Palace

The property is located on the corner of Market Street and Oxford Street in Woodstock. Our bedroom overlooked on to Oxford Street and was extremely noisy due to the traffic. The public bar lacked atmosphere and they only had one real ale available. The restaurant had a limited choice on its menu. Whilst it was reasonable value the quality of the food was average. Breakfast was included in our package and the choices on the menu was fine but the quality of the cooked food was not very good. The staff were lovely and helpful.

Birthday in Woodstock

Good sized rooms. Comfortable large bed. Good breakfast and evening meal. Location perfect. Parking easy outside at a small cost.

Our first bedroom, (the Suite). Very noisy due to noise from boiler/ kitchen. Due to very little sleep we asked to move rooms the following morning and we duly moved to a superior room which was much better.

I would stay again but have my evening meal somewhere else.

Excellent staff but didn’t get tomato or mushroom had to ask. Also I think a selection of bread would have been nice. Particularly liked the decor and furniture the bed and bedding excellent. The evening menu a bit limited I ordered a dish without anchovies but it came with them they removed them but I could still taste them.

Didn’t like the coffee machine prefer coffee sachets. And t bags a bit strong. I think just the kettle would of been fine, and easier to manage

good apart from the bathroom flood.

The toilet came away from the wall, the bathroom flooded. I put towels down, went to reception, rang the bell, ignored, rang again, ignored, walked around , found the manager. I was told this was the busy time, 7am, no maintenance staff available, no other room offered, nothing can be done. So I went back up , packed my stuff and left at 8am. The response from the hotel management came across as poor and dismissive, perhaps not intended.

Perfect spot for Blenheim Palace; just be aware of the road.

Very nice room and an easy check in assisted by a small team in charge of the pub and reception. The Kings Arms is right on the Woodstock main road so some traffic noise is inevitable. The windows have double glaze options to help and late in the evening the flow of vehicles settles down. My room was top floor and therefore no noise from the pub itself; it was well appointed, with good facilities including a coffee machine and a lovely shower room with shampoo and conditioner provided. Breakfast was also very well made and served with a friendly, helpful approach. Parking is tricky outside the Pub/Hotel but the village is very well served by the public car park off Union Street - FREE - just a stroll away (200 yds). Two great local coffee shops near by; Woodstock coffee shop and Missing Bean speciality coffee. This venue is also just a stroll from the back of Blenheim Palace so a morning walk was a true bonus.

All fine; there's not much the hotel can do about the road and traffic.

Enjoyable short break.

Room was spacious and clean modern decor and ensuite shower room fittings. Convenient town centre position. Short walk to Blenheim Palace and grounds. Great selection and quality for cooked and cold breakfast.

Road noise noticeable but not a major issue in our opinion helped by secondary double glazing provided to windows.
