Perfect place to stay to enjoy the festive activities at Blenheim Palace. We were given a lovely warm welcome and a room upgrade. The staff were lovely and friendly and both our evening meal and breakfast were delicious. Great proximity to everything in the area with on site parking a lovely bonus.

Start the day with a freshly cooked breakfast (extra charge) after having had a good nights sleep in a clean & tidy, well furnished modern room.
There wasn't anything to dislike.

Excellent location close to Blenheim. Parking available. Lovely old building but excellent careful modernization. Fresh milk on request appreciated. Lovely evening meal. Staff very friendly and helpful. De - icer for car available. Some really nice touches.
Twin beds requested were tiny in width. Breakfast end time was early for winter and only full breakfast option.

Lovely old inn, beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our room was very comfortable; light and bright, with a great bed, shower and good reading lights. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly, and the added touches such as the free use of car de-icers and umbrellas was welcomed.
We enjoyed a great breakfast, and the location meant we could easily walk to Blenheim Palace too.
All was great.
The carpark, as advised, was small, but we did manage to park there.

The room was cosy and warm, liked the decor, very clean and comfortable. Slept well, The staff were lovely and welcoming, friendly from bar staff to the housekeeping staff who make a cracking breakfast as well as servicing your room daily.
The food was very nice and tasty, reasonably priced and my husband loved the 3b beer
Would definitely come and stay again. Close to Blenheim and the village of Woodstock is charming too.
Nothing we were disappointed we were only staying the two nights

Old school pub with modern facilities
A bit noisy as outside speakers adjacent to our bedroom had a deep bass so couldn’t get to sleep until bar closed. Also one morning sounded like someone was assembling a bed at 05:30 which woke us up.

Near by and the breakfast staff were exceptional!
It stunk really bad of drains as soon as you went in, the evening staff were not bothered and we came back at 20.30 and all was shut so couldn’t raise concerns

Exceptional staff. Very welcoming and professional. They couldn’t have been more helpful.
The bedroom was freezing, even though a small heater was provided in the room. The radiators weren’t on, and when I complained the room was cold, a switch in the main bar area was used, which eventually rectified the situation.

The room was spacious, and the bathroom was very nice & modern
The biggest issue here was parking. The car park is small but has enough spaces for each guest to park 1 car. The hotel staff use the car park too which although understandable, means that guests are not guaranteed to be able to park until 10pm. The local car park next to the pub has a limit so you are also unable to remain there for the night.
This means you are unable to relax & enjoy the evening, or have alcohol with dinner, because you’ll need to move your vehicle late at night.
The room was facing a road & was very noisy. Unfortunately due to the single glazing & damaged window this meant the noise entered the room all night & made sleeping very difficult. The noise of guests moving around the hotel was also very noisy too.

Little bit of noise from the bar downstairs but not a problem. Small car park dominated by contractors vans but public car park nearby

The bar staff were very friendly and food ordered arrived in good time and service was good
The room we booked was the double room number 8 . The price for this accommodation was off the charts and on reviewing this location it is very clear now, that when an event is on locally the prices are raised to an extreme cost of double or triple the regular price. we paid for 2 nights £718.00 without breakfast.
I would not be using this room / location again as it is extremely overpriced for what your getting for the accommodation.
The small room itself was very hot, due to the lack of ventilation and no air conditioning.
The bed side cabinets had been turned sideways as the room was not big enough to house them correctly with a standard double bed. There was a lack of storage space, when two people are using the room for more than one night.
The bed head is on the against outside wall of the building and you can hear everything at night time, cars, people in the street late at night , The wall / ceiling is thin and you can hear other guests moving around the room above.
The room was clean although the bathroom tiles looked worn and dirty on the corners. and the doors to the room are with chipped paint. There is no where to hang the "do not disturb" sign on the outside of the door to number 8.
The dimensions of this room, it should really be a single room with a single bed in it.

A beautifully appointed room (Deluxe King Room) - we loved it so much that we extended our stay. Extremely comfortable bed, plenty of space and a very relaxed vibe. We found it to be very quiet and refreshing. The Punchbowl Inn is located perfectly for nearby amenities and the village of Woodstock is stunning. The staff were all very friendly, so all around we had a fantastic experience. Would recommend to anyone.
