Central location, really close to Blenheim Palace. Lovely traditional Cotswold building. Nice decor. Very comfortable beds.
The bathroom was a good size but could have done with a deep clean or grout cleaner.

Woodstock is beautiful, we have visited several times. The building was lovely, clean, most staff were friendly.
Breakfast did not meet the menu! In the rooms, as a pre planner I had my heart set on a omelette! Sadly when asking I was told no, they changed their menu. The young serving could also do with a smile or two!

The location is excellent
The WiFi worked
The breakfast and coffee was excellent
It’s very tired, decor and furniture and fixings - the bed springs can be felt (room 4) and the fan in the bathroom was spitting dust and grime onto the toilet. The shower was lime-scaled and sink had cracks. The window wouldn’t shut, and was dirty. The room was cold, the radiator didn’t work even after trying to turn it on.

Nice Hotel in the middle of the village. Still quiet, and lots of parking available! Very good Full english breakfast, the cereals are a bit basic, but a very good service!!! Lots of restaurants around, and very close to Blenheim Palace.

Quite cosy little hotel. Blenheim park and palace were just a three-minute walk away. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Breakfast was great. Location good but parking limited to 4 hrs between 08.00 to 18.00 and you had to pay for that. Free car park for 12 hours a short walk away but if you arrive at 17.00 you would have to move your car at 05.00!!
Lighting in the bedroom as it was a little dingy with one main light and bedside lamps.

Nothing
We were not informed that a fairground was in the street and our room was a few feet from it. The room should not have been let out for those 2 nights. Also there was no parking because the fair had taken up the entire market square. Because of this we did not stay and had to book in somewhere else, at great expense. After spending ages on the phone and emailing we have not been offered any recompense.

The room was excellent as was the bathroom, in the centre of the town with excellent cafes and restaurants m
Last time we stayed the breakfast was terrible so this time we didn't have breakfast but had it a local cafe.

The Buttery is located in the centre of Woodstock. We have stayed in The Buttery before and it represents good value for money. Our breakfast on this stay was greatly improved since our last visit and ours was really very good.
The carpet leading to our room had not been replaced as in other parts of the building and was tired. Only one bedside lamp. The curtain over the bath should be replaced.

Location was excellent for the village and Blenheim palace. The breakfast was good but we didn’t study the menu enough so didn’t get cereals etc although the cooked breakfast was certainly enough!

Location was perfect
The whole accommodation smelt like a dentist waiting room for some reason

The staff were great and they served an excellent breakfast.
Once the restaurant closes at about 4 pm, there is nobody to let you in. There is no staff on site after about 4 pm. We had to wait for almost 2 hours for somebody to arrive to give us our keys for our room.
The window in the room should be repaired as it neither opens nor closes !
There was no internet available on our second day and no explanation!

Fabulous central location. Lovely old building. Very clean. Staff were very helpful. We arrived early for a party and were able to leave our bags and pick up our key, which was brilliant. Breakfast was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful, interesting second floor room with views across square. Comfortable beds and generous breakfast included. Right at the heart of this unspoilt and genuine Cotswold village. Close to Blenheim for great walks. A range of pubs and restaurants to enjoy. Some attractive houses throughout the village.
Quite a few stairs so not suitable if infirm. Noise from deliveries early in the morning.

Large room, good television. Nice outside courtyard space.
Room very hot, no air con. Security felt poor - front door and secondary door to public often didn't lock. Toilet by front door not ventilated and extractor fan not working - so lobby smelt of sewage when we checked in. Front entrance between two overfull bins covered in wasps. Orange squash instead of orange juice served for breakfast.

Location was perfect for a short stay. Bed very comfortable, clean sheets, towels, tea, coffee. Very quiet for where the property is in Woodstock. Breakfast was great and staff friendly. And a fan for the room thank you.
Could do with better signposting as wasn’t obvious there was accommodation and when we arrived the cafe was closed. We didn’t find it the cleanest room we’ve ever stayed in. Basically clean but the bathroom especially the shower had ground in dirt. The drain of the shower was very mucky and the soap dispensers. Bathroom could do with a deep clean. For £213 for 2 nights we’d hoped for a bit better. Room didn’t get a clean during the day, possibly because there was no sign to hang on the door.

The staff were lovely and pleasant from start to finish.
The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean, with tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom although small was adequate enough for our needs. Shampoo/shower gel/liquid soap provided as well as hairdryer and tissues. There was a desk fan which was very welcomed, although a little too noisy to have on during the night.
Breakfast was very good. Cereals, full English breakfast or bacon and/or eggs on sourdough toast etc.
Unfortunately there is no fruit/and or yogurt.
We agree with some of the previous reviewers that The Blenheim Buttery could have been signposted better.

Great location in quaint market town. clean no frills property. Great breakfast to set you up for the day. Friendly staff
Parking is a challenge on street meters with 4 hour max stay no long stay parking if you want to park up and explore the area using public transport! Think council need to have a rethink this maybe issue permit for tourists staying in the area🤔

Lovely location right in the middle of Woodstock. We found parking easily on the street which cost £4 in total (from arrival at 3pm to departure at 9am the following day). We stayed here due to visiting nearby Oxford and found the park and ride to be a short drive from the hotel, making this an ideal location. Lovely little village with plenty of places to eat and drink in the evening. Friendly welcome when we arrived and a lovely breakfast cooked to order.

The village of Woodstock was such a pleasant surprise. Picturesque with lots of lovely old pubs & walking distance to Blenheim Palace. The Buttery itself was delightful, very comfortable & quiet. The breakfast was exceptional.
No reflection on The Buttery but the only car parking available during the day was paid meter parking.

Perfectly situated in the middle of the town! Just a lovely position in the village. And a great breakfast!
The welcome was rough. The man and woman who greeted us were obviously very tired and frustrated with having to deal with guests. Unnerving. While the carpets were clean it was clear that they had passed their prime.

Location was ideal for our visit to Blenheim Palace, in walking distance. Convenient for town centre restaurants etc.
We were woken before 7 by staff working below our window in some sort of store room. The tea and coffee and bottled water in our room was not replenished for the 2nd night.
Breakfast was spoilt not only by the unwelcoming staff but, the absence of any kind of fruit on the menu, hard toasted sourdough bread and only a single coffee. The chef however, can be complimented on the scrambled eggs!

Too warm, winter duvet still being provided… it has been up to 30 degrees in that location for some time.

Great location and comfortable bed. Good value for money. Breakfast was spot on and good quality.
Bathroom was tired and needed overhaul wasn’t as good a standard as room. Young staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming. Unsure if owner or manager could have been friendlier
