Bale Gede Lembongan

Great location - easy walk to Mushroom Bay. We paid about $10AUD extra with our fast boat from Sanur and the hotel drove us on arrival (well spent). Huge rooms, serviced regularly. Great attention to detail from Bagus and Lo in terms of remembering breakfast preferences, booking private snorkelling, hiring scooters and even getting our forgotten donuts brought to us at the beach after checkout! Highly recommended for families.

The pool was very chlorined (the kids eyes were super red and irritated if they didn’t wear goggles). We had inter-joining rooms and the internal doors were very sticky so hard to close from both sides.

The pool is amazing! It was the absolute highlight for us. Our room was amazing, we had everything we needed and the staff was really friendly aswell. The perfect stay for us on Nusa Lembongan.

Beautiful area, with lots of vegetation, making the cabins and pool area look lovely. The spa had a list of treatments with low prices, although we didn’t have time to try it. The location was central enough to the main attractions, whether you rent a bike or go walking. Breakfast was menu based, you get to choose one main plate and have accompanying fruit and drink (one of us enjoyed the food, the other didn’t).

We had an issue on the first night with the air conditioning: the power went out making the AC turn off and heating up the room, making it so we couldn’t sleep at all the entire night. Even after the power came back and we turned the AC back on it was sweltering hot until morning - we texted the provided whatsapp number for the reception to call it in (during the adequate schedule) and there was no reply until the next morning. However they then came in to check the unit and the AC worked perfectly after that. Bathroom is a little on the older side and has openings to the exterior which makes it so mosquitoes get in, but the room has a mosquito net and device. There is no isolation from the outside, either from the temperature (as mentioned), sound (they provide earplugs) and smell (smoke/tobacco constantly, not sure if from the neighbours or the nearby road)

Loved the pool and the lovely staff.

There was a lot of noise especially from roosters right near the villa that made noise allll night. The villa is quite shaded and therefore very damp unfortunately. There was also a broken light with exposed wires in the pool.
