A great time at Bale Gede.

I loved our stay here! Loved the pool. It was so big with lots of shady spots to enjoy. The beds were comfortable and the rooms very clean. The staff here are so friendly, always smiling and welcoming. Amazing massage on site! The best in Lembongan.

We had an interconnecting room with two bathrooms. One bathroom door was hard to open and the other wouldn’t stay shut. It’s minor and hopefully an easy fix. Having said that I’d stay here again.

We had an amazing stay! Perfect for families

The wooden cottages are perfectly clean and very comfortable big size beds! We had a family room with connecting door, two bedrooms, two bathrooms. Spacious enough for a very comfortable stay. Every room has a nice sitting area/balcony outside. Small Minibar and big enough cabinet to put away your clothes.

Keep in mind that the nearest beach is a 10min walk, but the very friendly hotel staff can organise a taxi to anywhere on the island.

Honest review - only good if you look value for money if you can afford it look somewhere else.

The property biggest plus is value for money. You get decent rooms for a very affordable price. However 1. It is nowhere close to being a 4 star property 2. Location is not good 3. The staff is very hard to engage with as a foreigner because they speak very little English 4. The facilities could use some love; the walls are old and even letters in signaling have fallen and not been replaced 5. I took a spa treatment but was extremely disappointed by its facilities and the quality. It seemed they just sourced someone from the area to do it. More explanations below but bottom line if what you are looking for is basic value for money it is a good option if what you are looking is something higher end and more comfortable it is not

Location: it is absolutely impossible to move without a scooter or buggy or taxi. The island itself is not very walkable but this location is not ideal. The rooms were decently clean but not to the holiday standards I was expecting; the bathrooms are clearly old and in the faucets there was so much accumulated water. The staff while nice and trying their best was extremely hard to engage with. The guy at the reception told us he would arrange snorkeling; the next day he was not there and the few women in the spot struggled to understand and let us know what was the plan. We had a very basic experience with the snorkeling that while we did get to see the mantas it was not what we asked as we told them we wanted a nice and good boat. Breakfast was extremely basic but ok We normally like to go to the hotels recommendations as they tend to be reliable but if you decide to go with this hotel for value for money my recommendation is DO NOT BOOK ANY EXPERIENCE OR TRANSPORT with them. We wee lucky to find a very very good small buisness with amazing buggy’s; super punctual nice and with a good English level the company is called trans anugerah tours and activities. Once we switched to this provider things went better. The taxis they offer are even safer as they have handles to grab on; comfortable seats; etc. I cannot recommend more this small buisness it saved us from the chaos the hotel was

Wayan is truly amazing! The service was great, very nice staff. Location is also amazing, you can walk to Mushroom Bay. Pool is also clean and spacious.

Nice houses but lots of cracks where mosquitoes can get it. Bring plenty of repellent.

Fantastic!!

Price point fantastic for the accommodation. We had a super 4 days here. Great location - mushroom beach easily accessible about 7 min walk. Fabulous restaurants surrounding - check out mushroom espresso for great coffee and a warung aboir 3 mins walk. My son had hours of fun in the pool. We got rocky fast boat over from Sanur which was great and only took 30 mins! Great time was had!

A hidden sanctuary inside Mushroom bay with wooden balinese style rooms and comfy beds.

We stayed at Bale Gede for 7 nights in Mushroom Bay, Nusa Lembongan, and absolutely loved every moment. The interleading rooms were perfect for our family, giving us space while keeping us connected. The beds were hands down the most comfortable of our entire trip, and the daily cleaning made everything feel fresh and effortless. A huge thank you to Wyan, who was so friendly and helpful with anything we needed — from local tips to making sure our stay was seamless. It truly felt like home, and we’d go back in a heartbeat. Such a special time in a beautiful spot!

Lovely staff and gorgeous pool. But lots of noise and quite damp location.

Loved the pool and the lovely staff.

There was a lot of noise especially from roosters right near the villa that made noise allll night. The villa is quite shaded and therefore very damp unfortunately. There was also a broken light with exposed wires in the pool.

Great staff, nice looking rooms and nice massages, but too loud to rest

The staff was nice and very kind, massages are great, the rooms are nice but the main thing is the noise, making it very hard to rest.

The noise was the major issue there, as the rooms aren't well "sealed", meaning you're awake at 4.30am from noises around the rooms (animals, traffic, kids...). Also, the rooms let air through, which means it gets quite warm after a few minutes without AC, making nights quite warm if it's warm outside.

Everything! Such a lovely place to stay. The staff were amazing and so friendly, especially the main man who was so kind (sorry we didnt catch your name!). The rooms are great and perfect for a family of 4 plus grandparents (which isn't always an easy group to accommodate) We had 2 rooms that were connected and my parents had their own separate room/hut just across from us so we never felt too separated. The food is very reasonably priced and the pool was a nice size (not always easy to find a pool big enough to actually swim in). Lots of restaurants close by to try, you never have to eat at the same place if you don't want to! It is located away from the busier area of Jungutbatu which we liked but you will need transportation to see other areas. To get to Mushroom Beach it takes about 5-10 minutes. Recommend hiring a motorbike from the hotel as we did on the last day and it was so reasonably priced we wish we did it earlier- it helps transport those who are less mobile to Mushroom Beach.

Original Bali….loved it!!!

The hotel was awesome. Rustic and exactly what was needed at same time. Only bummer was a ceremony that went for three days (which we couldn’t predict) which bought lots of noise. Otherwise outstanding!!

The location is terrific. The staff are very attentive. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The food and breakfasts are incredibly tasty and fresh. The family rooms are perfect.

The pool in my opinion was too warm with no shade over the pool. A shade cloth over the small pool would be perfect for keeping sun off little ones whilst swimming. There are great umbrellas over the chairs for shade. And through no fault of the hotel the barking dogs at night were very loud and disruptive even with ear plugs in. In saying this I did get used to it over the 5 days and noticed it less.

Really nice boutique hotel with the most helpful accommodating staff

The staff were the highlight of my stay here, they are so accommodating, the manager Wayan runs an excellent team who really look after their guests. They even took me to where I needed to go by motor cycle and arranged for a motor bike and driver for my day trip on Nusa Penida. Wayan was a very special person, he was so kind, one night he dropped me to dinner and picked me up late to bring me back to the hotel! Thank you Wayan! Rooms are modern Bali style and clean and beds are comfy. I highly recommend this hotel.

The only thing is Bali style Bathroom have gaps on the sides which let mosquitoes in but you can ask the staff to spray the bathroom everyday when they clean the rooms. Breakfast is basic, could be better choices

The property was in a great location! It was a 5-10 minute scooter ride from everything. The staff was very helpful and provided great service!

Our villa was located right on the main road, so there was a lot of road noise as well as noise carrying from the other villas late into the night. The Wi-Fi only worked for us in the restaurant/reception area and pool.

The staff were extremely helpful, present and professional. The grounds were very tidy and well kept. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was also clean and modernised, with great water pressure in shower. The location was fantastic - just a short walk to Mushroom Beach.

Beautiful stay at Bale Gede

Friendly staff, especially Wayan who was always helpful and gave advice. The cleaners were swift and efficient. Room was comfortable and excellent air conditioning. Small fridge with mini bar and a safe. Beautiful pool with sun loungers. Delicious freshly made food in restaurant, Bale Gede need to be advertised the restaurant better, as lot of people walked past and missed out. We were able to hire scooter from Bale Gede. Highly recommend, we will return!

Great location, huts and pool were beautiful and clean, breakfast was great, staff were so accomodating especially Wayan! Organised transport for us and also very cheap moped hire.

Hot water didn’t last long in the shower but it didn’t go completely cold, was fine for bali weather anyway.

Beautiful pool, comfortable rooms, fantastic friendly and helpful staff. A short walk to the beach at Mushroom Bay (we had a 2 and a 7 year old in tow and it was fine). We hired scooters from the accomodation to see a bit more of the island (not everyone might be confident doing this with kids, but we felt fine about it).

The bathroom facilities are perhaps slightly dated if anyone was nit picking. But they were clean and perfectly sufficient. It didn't worry us at all. You are on an island after all, and by Bali standards they were great!!

Our stay here was great! During our stay the staff were all super helpful and made everything so easy - from hiring bikes, to transport, to offering suggestions of where to go! They were all so friendly and made our stay great. The room was also great and food was really good too. Would recommend!

Wayan was a great host. He helped us with everything we needed and even brought us to the harbor. The hotel facility is very clean and sweet.

Exactly as shown in photos. Very nice and simple. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Organised transport for us and were always happy to help with any questions. Room was tidy, topped up with plenty of water. Lovely outside seating area.

Didn’t seem like we could eat dinner at restaurant if wanted. A couple of the breakfast options included a surplus charge. Water in minibar costs but this was not stated on price list (not expensive though).
