Hidden gem; a little piece of paradise.

This place is a hidden gem. Tucked away down a quiet, narrow street, the double doors open into an oasis of beautifully kept gardens and pool, and individual chalets ('huts'). My host was very welcoming, and offered transport to wherever I wanted to go. The twin room had a balcony looking to the gardens and pool, plenty of hanging space, complimentary tea/coffee/water, extremely comfortable beds and super-soft sheets. The bathroom was spacious, with beautiful floor tiles, decorative shower with open roof, and everything I needed. My hosts catered to my dietary requirements for breakfast - overlooking the pool, and took me back to the ferry in the afternoon. I felt like this was my own little piece of paradise. Dream Beach was a short walk away, and Mushroom Bay a short ride away. It felt like I was only minutes from beaches and restaurants, but far away from the business and busyness of the beach and restaurant areas.

Hot water didn’t work some days but I think that is just what happens on Lembongan sometimes, not the hotel’s fault.

Beautiful bungalows ,,,Very well maintained and comfortable. Kadek and Putuh are wonderful hosts. Always happy to help and very kind. Anyone staying here and travelling alone would feel very safe. Great food in the restaurant. Very affordable. The pool is awesome, a big pool. Motorbike hire was $8 a day. Laundry service by Kadek was very much appreciated. Very friendly owners of Gedong. Would stay there again. Lovely bathroom too. Plus tea and coffee, good internet. Close to the local village and a short walk to the Ceningan bridge.

Not much really. For people who don’t understand Indonesian culture, they may feel a little isolated from the main attractions of Lembongan, but if you want a safe quiet space, this is it . Kadek and Putuh make you feel like one of the family.

Very good place but….

Very good room, spacious and clean

The guy at reception (probably the owner) was super rude and very intrusive. We arrived early before checking coz we wanted to rent scooters and spend the day on the island. We ask for 2 scooters he made fun of us and try to force us to take only 1 coz he only had one in stock (which he mentioned to us 1hour later, so we’ve been waiting all this time for nothing). Everyday he asked personal questions and was super rude, also laughing at us for no reason.

Lovely stay

The Gedong Nusa Huts is a lovely place. It is very well maintained. The rooms are cleaned every day and the facilities are welcoming and clean too. The interior is spacious and nice. The staff is lovely and helpful. The owner is available on whatsapp and on the spot to help with whatever questions.

Something to be noted is that staying on the island you are quite dependent on a motorbike. So it’s not a minus of the facility but there is a reason why also others commented that roads are really bad and using motorbike as a beginner in this place is not so easy so it can limit what you can do. You can however join the shared tours if not biking.

A rural hide away

Gedong Nusa Huts are away from the main area of Nusa Lembongan, however only a 10 minute taxi. The staff were lovely and helpful. The huts were clean and comfortable. With only 6 huts on site it was peaceful.

The neighbors were doing some burning off so it was quite smokey our last couple of days. The breakfast offerings are very simple.

A lovely, tranquil spot, with great comfort and facilities.

A lovely, quiet, very comfortable place to stay. Great room- very comfy bed, good air-conditioning and plenty of room. The staff were helpful, very good at organising trips and transport and helpful tips. It is away from places we wanted to go to, so you need to consider transport options. We walked quite easily as far as Dream Beach, Mushroom Bay and Sandy Bay but any further, some form of transport would be best. Road in and out is rough! The location of course made it quiet and peaceful!

For us, we would have preferred an option closer, in a more practical sense, to Mushroom Bay. But this is not a criticism of the actual location.

Lovely family hotel

The family who runs this hotel are so lovely, happy to help with anything you might need. They gave us free lifts to the port and to the beach on a few days, which was really kind and unexpected. They helped us with booking a snorkelling trip for a great price. The room is spacious and the beds are comfortable with mosquito netting. We liked the outdoor bathroom! The hotel is walking distance to Dream Beach, we also walked to the yellow bridge port, though it should be noted it was 25 minutes on a main road (still doable though!) We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel, particularly the juices. There are a few restaurants nearby too, for a great price and quality. We thought this hotel was excellent value for money.

Somewhere to hang towels in the bathroom would be great! Even just a few hooks would be good. Also, some hand towels would be nice :)

Oasis on Lembongan

Loved the pool area and sunbeds. Very private, there's only 6 huts. We rented 3 of them and there was only 1 other couple on 1 of the nights. Feels like private resort without the pricey villa/hotel cost. Breakfast was bit on basic level but yummy. Yoi get fruit, juoce, coffee and toast with egg/pancakes. Or can select traditional Indonesian break

The owner and his family welcomed us a family - nothing was too much trouble

Beautiful setting, the “huts” surround a pool in a beautiful garden. The owner arranged a taxi for us from the ferry, took and collected our dirty clothes from the nearby laundry and also drove us on his moped to the beach when I asked. He was genuinely like a family friend. We will treasure the memories of this holiday

Gedong Nusa is cute and affordable

The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The bed was super comfortable and the room and place was well decorated. The breakfast had a variety to choose from, made on the spot so always fresh. The bathroom was outdoors which was different and it was refreshing. The location was a bit further out so it was really quiet. It felt like luxury for such an affordable price. The AC was also really strong and so good because it gets really hot. The whole place is well kept and always clean which I loved.

My friend and I only stayed for one night so we didnt see many flaws.

Great stay close to the most beautiful beach.

The room is great and very comfortable. The pool is nice. The property is close to Dream Beach and also Devil Tears, you can walk there. They made me breakfast even before their opening hours and the owner took me to the harbour by motorcycle which I really appreciate it.

The Gedong Nusa Huts are a hidden gem on Nusa Lembongan, and the hosts are exceptional. The huts are new, clean and spacious, with a good size front deck with bench and small table, and nice Balinese style bathrooms. Breakfast was provided, and that too was plentiful and delicious with several options to choose from. The hosts were able to set us up with motorbikes in short order, and a motorbike is must for getting around the island from this location. Gedong Nusa Huts are within a short distance of Dream Beach and Devil's Tears and many good restaurants and cafes. Really, any destination on the island is accessible by motorbike in a relatively short amount of time. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Loved everything at Gedong: family runned paradise.

The family runned Huts have the best staff , they were so very helpfull and polite ! They have all kind of activities or motobike rental right from there. The pool and garden are as beautiful as in the pictures!! And it is a perfect spot in nusa lembongan to visit everything by motobike. The beds and outdoor shower are also perfect. Great vibe! :)

Great place to discover the island from.

The family who runs the accommodation is super kind! They are willing to help with everything - you can book trips and ferries + rent scooters. The huts are clean and the beds are comfy. Location is perfect, on the side of the island where the most beautiful beaches are!

We had a wonderful time during our stay at gedong nusa huts. Our host and his family were very friendly and helpful, making sure we had anything we needed. The property itself is lovely and peaceful, and our room was perfect. Would highly recommend staying here!

I would not choose it again and would not recommend it to my friends.

We were satisfied with the information given at check-in and the cleanliness of the hotel. Staff were polite and helpful except for the one we experienced.

- Since my wife's father had a traffic accident and his condition was critical, we made a plan to leave the hotel and return to our country after staying 2 nights of our 4-night reservation. Although I explained this situation to the hotel staff, they demanded 4 days' wages from me (with a small discount as a result of my insistence). Although it is a hotel whose reservation can be canceled until 6 pm on the last day and there is no busyness, I think that our situation was not approached in good faith and they were only focused on money. - Although the location looks good on the map, the roads used for transportation by motor are very bad. You have to pass through narrow and broken roads. - The breakfast is very simple and tasteless except for the juices.

Amazing Place!

Absolutely loved our stay at Gedong Nusa Huts! We had one hut and our teenage boys shared another, there are only 6 huts so felt nice and private. The pool area is beautiful and feels like you are in your own secluded paradise. Loved the rugged drive from the ferry, felt like doing to the middle of nowhere but in a good way! Our hosts were amazing, so friendly and helpful, made us yummy breakfast each day. Lots of restaurants on the island offer a pick up and drop off service which our hosts organsied for us. We also hired scooters from them for 2 days and explored Lembongan and Ceningan islands. Loved our hut, really comfy and private. So different from main Bali and we really enjoyed our 4 days here.

If you ask my boys they would say the roosters in the morning! Loved everything, nothing not to like.

Perfect stay at Nusa Lembongang, highly recommend this place with this lovely family.

We really had the perfect stay with this family. They were so kind and nothing you ask for is too much. The garden, swimming pool and the huts are really nice and extremely clean. Breakfast was nice, I liked the Nasi Goreng, and more than enough with fruit juice, fresh fruit and coffee/tea. Location is good and with a motorbike it is very ease to go around the island of Lembongang. When we leave they even get us a free ride to the boat. Overall I highly recommend this place and it is the perfect value for money.

Amazing place, if I could put more than 10 I would do it. The best place we stayed in 4 months of travel. The family is so welcoming and always there when we need something and happy to help. The pool is also amazing eith enough chairs for everyone. Very quiet place (only 6 bungalows). The food at their restaurant is very good and affordable. The free breakfast is great and include a coffee, a juice and a fruit plate. Everything was so clean. You can walk to dream beach and devils tear from the place and it is close to many restaurants by walking. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Excellent place for zero stress

The hotel is very cozy and nearby to many places. The owner and its relatives owns couple other businesses including local transportation, transport to penida, restaurant etc. Anywhere u want to go within nusa lembongan n penida, they are able to arrange for u, negotiate the best price and also provides assistance whenever needed. Pak Putu n family are very humble and down to earth people. Simple life and yet friendly with good hospitality. I love this place for they cook ezcellent breakfast and very reasonable dinner meal with good taste. Must try is their nasi goreng, seafood platter and juices.
