Tidy small ensuite room.
Bigger television? But no issues

Location, proximity to the river, the view from our room, and the lady that met us in the morning
We were met by a man when we arrived. He was polite but seemed a bit grumpy, and told us breakfast wasn’t great, so that was a bit off-putting. Our room was overlooking the river and we loved that, but the bed was sinking on one side. It was only one night so wasn’t encouraged to use the shower, but there was also a very loud whirring noise coming from the bathroom the whole night and we couldn’t find the switch to turn it off.
Overall I would say it was a good stay, but definitely overpriced.

The location was great, near everything we wanted to see
Well… it was hard to communicate, once we did. There was an old man at the reception that told us to basically avoid the breakfast because “it’s not great”, then was baffled to see a same-sex couple check in the same room, also - I have a visible hand disability and was not helped with my bag, he asked the couple in front of us if they needed help and completely skipped me, also the couple was given the room with the view. We were given a room with a side window to the back of the street, I’m a level 3 geninus on Booking for over 15 years… the room is dated and the shower is weak. No matter what you do, also the kettle needs to be cleaned as it’s rusty from the inside and the tv can’t be accessed if you want to watch it because there’s a tray, and 5 other things blocking it. This room was not worth the money paid, £50 would be fair for it.

We loved this b&b, the bed was SO comfy, it was very quiet, no noise from traffic or passers by or other residents. It was also perfectly located for us. Easy walking distance to the center and to the park
The pressure in the shower wasn't great, but its an electric shower and I expect with the age of the property its hard to keep high pressure for everyone, it was still good enough for us and this is definitely NOT a complaint- just a statement

Excellent breakfast in this charming old guest house. We got a cute small room at the very top of the stairs, probably originally the attic but we thought it as super cute and view out the dormer window of the river. This is what I love about traveling in the UK!

It was a delightful location along the River Ness. Easy walking distance to get a nice meal.
I had a cosy attic room with garden view that included breakfast. So cheap!

Beautiful B&B on the river in the center of town. Tight parking, but secured parking! Room is small, but has everything you need and is comfortable. The hosts are great and took care of any need that arose.
I notified the host of the shower holder that did not operate. I am sure it is fixed.

The Talisker is in an excellent location on the banks of the Ness River. The view out over the river is beautiful. Murray and his daughter Fifi are most accommodating and will provide assistance to guests as much as possible. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The house is lovely, and the garden is pretty. I found my beds to be comfortable, and the water in the shower is nice and hot when you need it.
There is a kettle with tea/coffee making supplies, and a hairdryer. There are also complimentary toiletries in the bathroom.
The continental breakfast is well presented and there's plenty to eat. Fifi will make eggs to your preference.
The guesthouse is within walking distance of the city centre. There's also a pedestrian bridge very close to the guesthouse which takes you over to the other side of the river.
I took a couple of tours with Rabbie's and these leave from outside the Cathedral. Talisker is in a great spot to get there quickly.
On my first stay, I had room 6, which is right on the top floor. It's very small and the bed is under a sloping attic ceiling. There are a lot of steep stairs to get up there. If you have any mobility issues, you will struggle with these stairs.
On my second stay, I had room 5, which is on the second floor and is bigger. The stairs were still a problem although not as bad as up to room 6 on the top floor.
Both rooms could benefit from an update on furnishings, as they are a little dated. Having said that, the decor didn't detract from the comfort of the room.
I also found the rooms to be a bit hot, as they're not air conditioned, and there's no fan. I couldn't open the windows to let in any fresh air.

Helpful and friendly staff, assistance with parking, room with a view, everything essential provided in the room, location good for walks along the Ness or to reach pubs and food.
Breakfast was a bit basic although I enjoyed what I ate. Room was small and the upper window was open in very windy weather and quite hard to reach to close. It didn't impact me much.

Great location by the river. Very friendly staff, and the continental breakfast was nice too - toast and hot drinks made fresh for you, and a selection of meats/cheese/fruit/cereal/pastries/etc to help yourself to. I had no issues with the size of the room, it is small but still has everything you need including a fold-out table and chair.
The parking was a bit tight given the narrow entrance, and it would have been useful to have a small shelf over the sink in the bathroom but these are very minor points.

Close to the city center (walking distance) near the river Ness, quiet and lovely. Continental breakfast with a lady serving you for tost or boiled eggs. Room was clean and tidy.
Everything was perfect

The location was excellent, a short walk from the station and right on the river. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very accommodating.
The room was a little small but that didn't really detract as all I did was sleep in it. The bed was comfy and the shower, again a little small for me, but functional.

Very nicely located at the river and a nice pleasant stroll to the city centre. Nice continental breakfast with English toast. Very friendly and accommodating.
I did not manage to open the window (not sure if it was me or the window)

Very nice location when you appreciate being close to a get away from town
It's a bit noisy inside - you could hear upstairs people walking, there is some humming sounds at odd times late at night. Mattress is covered by plastic a wrapper, it gets really hot & sweaty (understand why they have it but there are more breathable options at the market).

The room was a little tight for 2 people.

Staff, breakfast, biscuits, tea, coffee in room , location, parking all excellent
Bedroom seemed a bit cramped, headboard cover (a curtain) and bed covers a bit dated and odd to be honest

Excellent and quietly located on the east bank
of the river Ness. A lovely old building and friendly welcome. Comfortable single room, en suite with all you need for one or two nights. Great freshly prepared continent style breakfast.
Nothing really, it was very good.

Location is quite nice: approx. 10 minutes walk by the Ness to the central streets.
Staff was friendly and accomodating.
View from the room to the river was great, just dreamy.
Breakfast could use a slight more variety.
Room was quite outdated and so was the hair dryer.

The location is excellent, with a lovely view of the river. parking is available and I was allowed to extend my parking for a few hours after I checked out. The owner and staff were very welcoming and accommodating.
The mattress protector was plastic, which made the bed too warm and comfortable , but once I removed it the bed was very comfortable The sink was partially blocked, so it was difficult to get a hot lot of water for shaving. The shower head holder was broken, which meant showering, was entertaining as the shower kept falling down and to the side! Cafetieres need updating as coffee grains seep into the coffee but the breakfast was nice.

A little dated upon entering the building, however the room was very nice. No lift.

From my (tiny) room I had a lovely view down onto the river. You could hear some live music in the evening from across the street, but it was good music and I ended up checking it out.
The walk to the city center was an actual walk, but admittedly beautiful. Personell was very friendly and helpful!

Bathroom is very tiny. Heating was turned off in the middle of extremely cold night , not acceptable. Saw a spider coming out of blanket on the bed
