Location is good, just a few blocks from old town. Parking on site is a plus.
Rooms were quite nice, though directly above a rockin' bar, though the noise wasn't really an issue.
Very comfortable stay.
Check in was confusing. Did we pay for breakfast or didn't we? Did he charge us for breakfast or not? When we came down for breakfast the next morning, apparently not to both, and then 16 pounds for a bowl of porridge and coffee. Then they wanted to charge more when my wife ordered a latte.
Overall, a comfortable hotel but not a great value.

The whole place is immaculate - all in very good order - and the bar / restaurant atmosphere was very informal and friendly. The location is perfect - close enough to the city centre (10 mins walk maximum) yet in a quiet residential area.

We stay here every year!
We honestly can't complain about anything. We always enjoy our stay. They have great food, are in a great location and the rooms are always comfy but different!

We received a complimentary upgrade which was a nice surprise however we stayed in room 8 which was quite small being in the attic space. The bed was really compfy. The bathroom was very clean, the shower pressure was amazing and lots of hot water however I am only 5ft 4in and the shower was way to small to shower properly. I couldn't wash my hair as every time I raised and bent my arms my elbows hit the shower door.
The room was really cold when we arrived back from having a full day of Dance rehearsals however we just turned up the radiator and it soon heated up.
