Early departure due to bed bugs and filthy ved

The room was filthy .no matress or pillow protector .the beds had never been pulled out and hoovered .one radiator was completely covered by bed, leaving room freezing cold .no bathroom heater .stained matress ,I would have left the first night, but i had to arrange transport .the second night, I was woken by bed bugs .omg I have never seen one before I was mortified. The horrible woman was unapproachable and very unwelcoming, and the other woman made excuses for her .saying she's ok when you get to know her .????? .im on holiday .breakfast poor.

Everything .the dirty smell on entering. And the itching feeling of dirt.

Good price

Clean bed linen, but seems dirty due to previous customers stains that couldn't be removed. Noisy music with hard bass coming from the street or a nearby place till 11p.m (Friday).

Wasn’t as expected and wasn’t clean when we first came but they had this lovely lady called Anjy(i dont know the exact spelling) she cleaned the toilet But the sink it has no hot water and our trip is in January and its cold and the soap was empty Bed has insect because me and my friends enjoyed got stung by it and skin got flared but we couldn’t see it and this night was rough Towels were not clean as it has stain in it they need to be replaced

The breakfast was not bad. For someone very hungry. But clean rooms will determine what you will eat

I found bug in the room. The bathroom was too dirty and it smells. Water was not functioning well in another bathroom. This is not fair. The staff kept leaving the reception to go for a fag. One of the Staff(a lady was too rude). The guy was very helpful.

Fair enough for that price

Location was good, breakfast was fair enough and I'd say the front desk in the morning was kind

The carpet was dirty, one part of the blanket had a blood mark, the wall looks with drops of something and the toilet area was dirty, the door had a fixing with a whole so it made me feel insecure and the wall inside had a yellow unprofessional filing the looks horrible the rest was ok, I went and show the pictures to the front desk but she was eating and she looks indifferent 😐

Waverley Guest House, saviour in an emergency but not quite hitting the mark to return to it.

I liked the price of a deluxe double room with private bathroom. It was very central and close to the bus station.At the very reasonable price, I expected a right dive, but my room was actually a really good size with a new carpet and looked to be of a more exceptional state than expected, however upon closer examination discovered there was a lot to be improved on. I arrived late at night after a long trip being stuck in traffic in very snowy treacherous conditions unable to continue my journey that night. It was a welcome beacon of warmth and comfort. My room was warm and cosy throughout my visit. The gentleman on reception was very helpful and kept in contact with me whilst I was arriving on the delayed bus.

It looks like it is under refurbishment and has been a very run down hotel in the process of trying to better itself. The bathroom sink taps were loose, the fittings and fixtures were of mixed quality and cleanliness, the water wasn't hot, the cushion on the bed was stained, the duvet cover had dirty marks on it and the towel was ripped. The corridor to my room was run down with old carpet and the breakfast area was freezing. I had read lots of bad reviews and was particularly put off by review of there being bed bugs. Thankfully I did not experience this. Phew! I did sleep on top of the covers fully clothed...just in case. Shame as the bed was comfy.

Breakfast finished at 9 30 ,10am would have perfect. Comfortable bed.lovely and warm.shared bathroom, no soap,other guests items on the floor and in shower,

No curtains on window,could see into room no privacy. No table lamp,had to move kettle plug, cable to short,wardrobe a string opened and closed the wardrobe, so much noise through the night,with other guests not being quiet ,with doors banging, didn't sleep well .

Location

Room was horrible, holes in the wall, loose wires. We did get moved but even that room had broken curtain pole and bed. The receptionist openly said the hotel is horrible and even he was conned as he moved up for a job there.

For the money it cost for 2 nights the bed was comfortable and the tv was ok, the location was great but the en-suite ba

Worst stay ever

The bed was okay but the room was very cold with no working heating. Accessible bus routes and at the heart of Inverness. Staff were really nice.

I barely slept for any of my nightshift despite using the earplugs provided - I was not warned of works going on the hotel, there was a lot of slamming doors that kept me awake during the day and I really struggled when it came to working nights. It was incredibly noisey and an awful experience. The room was freezing cold and the bathroom was very mouldy to the point that I didn’t even want to shower. The curtains were nailed to the wall so you couldn’t even close them properly.

Not worth it, they keep your money and you are left with bed bugs!

Unfortunately this accommodation had bed bugs. I showed them to the guy from the accommodation and he did not react surprised at all. He insured me I would get my money back, but until now my money has not been returned. And then booking.com is not doing anything at all to help me get my money back. It looks like they rather earn money than help the people who book through their platform. In the end I paid 79 pounds for a room that was not ready for the use that I booked it for and it looks like I lost my money.

The town centre location, although parking was a nightmare. But after the nightmare of Thornbush, it was good to find somewhere else to stay.

In our opinion, the room was not ready to be booked out. There was no number on the door, there were no handles on the internal doors, the tv didn't have a remote control (which meant you couldn't use it), and there was holes in the wall. Also, the room was on a slant.

Overall it was a lovely stay.

My room was really very cute and cozy. The breakfast was served early by 7 am which meant i could have that and go for the day trips.. Location was fantastic. Very convenient and central in location.

It was cosy enough

The bed was comfortable and clean. See decent sized telly to watch. The fact the place was being refurbished as it could be lovely when it's finished.

The room wasn't very clean. wasn't hoovered. The tiles in the bathroom are cracked and the shower wasn't very clean. But like I said it's getting a revamp ATM.

The dirty, falling to peices shower room was a let down.

Basic b&b, ideal for a buisness trip.

The shower door was hanging off... had to prop it up to shower. The sealing round the shower tray was back mold. No hand hand towels. Round the plug in the sink was brown and sticky. Clearly not had a good clean in a long time.

Comfortable beds. Continental breakfast had plenty to offer.

I'm guessing there is a music venue nearby because we could hear what sounded like the beat of the bass until the early hours. It didn't stop me from sleeping but when I woke up during the night it was still there. City centres are never quiet but that has put me off staying so close to the centre in future.

The reception was lovely . And the gentleman was very nice.

Breakfast was just ok.. we paid £20 for bfast. We assumed it would be a cooked breakfast, was just a buffet. Our room was warm enough, but the bathroom very bad smell, cracked tiles on floor. No shower mat. Curtains were terrible and didn't fit the window. We were kept awake till 3.30 because of the music from somewhere. Seemingly there were ear plugs on the pillow .. but we never received..

Rubbish !

Dirty sheets , dust everywhere, carpet wasn’t hoovered at all in my opinion as well in corridor was very messy . They didn’t have clean bath towels due to issue with laundry however I would not shower in this place as it’s wasn’t clean at all . Only good was location.

Location is fantastic but the facilities themselves were suffering. Not having a shower was almost the worst of it, but

The location was very convenient to see the city. As well as the staff being very kind and cooperative with my struggles with the bugs.

There were bed bugs, other guests also complained in the lobby, and not all facilities were available to the guests. The WiFi was extremely limited and the shower was out of order in my hall. I have photos of the condition, the bugs, the bites, the shower, and the small curtain that did not fully cover my window.
