    Wonderful stay — next door to train station and within easy walking to many shops, ATM, and beautiful walking areas.

    Had an appointment next morning so needed to be in town the night before. The Royal Highland Hotel was one of the few town places available and was offering a decent enough rate, is, still expensive but not OTT cost-wise like most other places in centre of town. The room was satisfactory, cosy, and bed was comfy.

    One of the reasons I chose this hotel was because it offered free parking. (Apparently) 86 rooms and only 8 car bays is a joke. joke. If you can’t get a bay you are told to go and park in a multi storey paid car park, 5 minutes away. Room ok, given it’s a 3 star hotel, though I never like a shower in a bath. Walls seem paper thin, can hear people in hallway and in next room like they are in the room with me. Turned TV up on second night and had to turn it back on, as no chance of getting to sleep at 11:15 pm given noise/conversation from room next door. Can also hear people walking about upstairs. Train line is right next to hotel, so if you are arriving by train it could be convenient.
