Columba Hotel Inverness by Compass Hospitality

Location was great. Elevator to 3rd floor definitely a plus.

Room was extremely hot. Window opened about one inch on the top only. A fan should be provided with each room. I had bought one which made it easier to sleep. A small fridge would have been nice to have. I stayed for three nights. Would have been much easier to have a place to keep some cold drinks, snacks.

This is one of the best locations in Inverness, by far! The fantastic, charming building only amplifies the magic of the "Capital of the Highlands." Directly across the river from the renovated castle, and immediately on the famed "river walk," you have direct, walking access to the city center in 5 minutes or the peaceful Inverness islands in 10. AND it has an elevator! Can't recommend enough. We stay here every time we're in Inverness. Full stop.

The only downside here is the parking. You have to pay for parking at a car park about 5 minutes walk down the street. You can, however, load and unload outside the door before you park.

Reception staff were stars! Very friendly and so helpful looking after our dog while we had breakfast (thank you Alan) Location was superb.

Room was very cramped and dated.The room was exceptionally hot and stuffy (it was hot weather and there was a fan but despite this the room and corridors were hot and stuffy) The breakfast was poor selection and hardly anything left in the cooked selection . Waiting staff didn't even say good morning or engage at all.
