I thought the family flat we had was very comfortable. Not that it was exceptional in any way, I just felt very comfortable there. The staff were very friendly. The wait staff at the restaurant although very harried still were efficient and seemed to always present a good face😊
A bit spread out and the locations of rooms and facilities were not entirely intuitive. Some bits of the room we stayed needed a little loving. It did have a rather nice kitchenette 😊

Everything, if you wanted a day to relax you would not have to go anywhere. Food, drink, view…….had it all.
As much as it rains there, only complaint was no rug for shoes inside the door.

It’s within walking distance of the train station. The room was clean and everything functioned. The bed was quite comfortable and the shower was good.
I paid a lot of money for a two night stay in a shed like cabin structure in the car park! The room lacked any style or sound proofing so I could hear every sound the guest next door made, eg flushing the toilet, having a shower etc. The bathroom was small with no blind on the window so I felt very exposed. There was a kitchen sink and cupboard in the bedroom, but no fridge or hob, just a toaster, kettle and microwave…I’m not entirely sure of the purpose of this within this ‘apartment’ as breakfast was included in the extortionate price I paid. (Breakfast was nothing particularly special either, very strange buffet layout and fresh fruit very limited.) There were no mats on the floor which creaked as I walked on it and made it cold underfoot. Basically I was very disappointed to have paid so much for such a dismal room and when I mentioned this I was told it was summer prices. Yet I have been travelling around Scotland and this was by far the most expensive room of my trip. I had hoped for a better room with a view of the river when I made the booking. I really think the owners should consider the pricing point for these two rooms (number 11 & 12) as they are obviously not to the same quality perhaps of some of the other rooms in the various buildings that make up this hotel complex.
