Bathroom was on the small size especially the shower

Loved the location. Very clean
Decor in rooms is very tired and could do with an update

Room was small but fine as we were only staying one night. Didn't hear any outside noise despite having the window wedged open for air all night. Excellent location, right beside the railway station in the centre of Inverness. Price for the room was excellent. Full breakfast wasn't particularly cheap but the cooked Full Scottish was really good. Liked the 'funky' artwork on the walls of the reception space.
Nothing on this list really bothered us (we were only in the room to sleep) but: couldn't get any of the TV channels to work, the toilet flush was intermittent (we ended up taking the lid off the cistern and operating the flush that way) and neither bedside light appeared to work. Car parking outside the hotel was very limited but we got excellent, cheap overnight parking in the car park beside Eden Court down by the river anyway.

Lovely Building, comfortable and clean.
The trains leave their engine running when parked/stationary, we could hear that constantly, but not a major issue.

Very central
Continental breakfast was very basic
Taxi que right outside hotel so lots of noise as nightclubs are closing

Beautiful old hotel steeped in history and many of the features inside recognizable from one's childhood. It was great to have a bath with piping hot water. The continental breakfast was also excellent and generous.
Unfortunately the chain flush toilet wasn't working so well. And it might be a good idea to have double glazing on the windows to save electricity use by the wall heaters.

Convenient for railway station which is why I have stayed here several times. Staff were friendly and efficient. Managed to get a parking space which was great!
Rooms were rather dated. Could not get the bedside lights to work.

The staff, rooms, food was good.
Nothing on at Hogmanay for guests, did not even get a drink after midnight on the 31st/1st. Won't be back for New year.

Central position
We were told there was a 24 hour porter service for drinks etc. as it was New year we hoped to use this service, we managed to get a couple of drinks but then at 11:45 we were told they were no longer doing it , very disappointed!!

Perfect location, beautiful hotel with great location. Staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurant has great food. Portions are huge so come hungry.
Not really a dislike, but the hotel could use some updating. But in a way that maintains its charm and history. The breakfast is ok. The coffee NEEDS an upgrade.

It is clearly a old dated property which gave it a lot of character and charm. This is exactly why I chose this hotel to get some of the authentic vibes, that being said you would expect to see some of its cracked interior but I believe added to its original architecture.
Isn’t much to complain about based on the property and its value.. if they were to do some work on it like soundproof it and a bit more to the fixture they would definitely be able to charge a well worth higher price.

Everything , this beautiful old hotel, is perfectly kept to a very good standard, on arrival the receptionists were polite and professional, I enquired about a taxi for early morning they booked one for me, explained I hadn't booked breakfast however if I wished I could book with them.
Unfortunately I wasn't allowed food as I was going to the hospital. My room was spotless not a bit of dust or mould in the bathroom, from tea tray with such an old building it was very impressive , well done housekeeping team. Comfy bed brilliant big shower head, great temperature. Hairdryer supplied.it has the most amazing stair case, it really did look like the one from the titanic, beautifully dressed for Christmas.
Nothing absolutely nothing

lovely receptionist ( long brown hair) she was extremely nice when missed our train home. Room was perfect for our needs. Lovely and warm and clean
slightly rude grey haired receptionist. didnt greet us with a welcome or anything. I said we have a room booked and she barley looked up and said " your too early" We knew were as we have stayed before, I asked the luggage key so we could store our cases. Was told to take it back straight away

Great location and decorated so nicely for Christmas while I was there! All the staff I chatted with were lovely and knowledgeable.
Not my usual price range - but worth the money for a posh experience!

Location next to the railway station near the High Street and the bus station. Nice and helpful staff. Good choice at breakfast + possibility to order full Scottish breakfast. The room had everything I needed incl. an umbrella. Old-fashioned hotel in the positive way.
The lift was out of order, but I could manage without it.

Centre location, history.
Very squeaky floor in bedroom. Bar closed at 10.00pm. Restaurant was cold.
8.0 / 10.0
Location and ease to get to/from train, bus, and tour bus.
Lift was out of order, thus difficult to manage large suitcase. Hotel did advise me of the lift situation before arrival, which I appreciated.

It’s a very beautiful building the staff was very good.
It was cold. The food was very expensive and small servings. The descriptions didn’t quite match up with what was delivered.

The room size was exceptional and the hot rubbing water was divine!
As with many continental breakfasts, it would be nice if the Danish pastries could be warmed. Some granola would be nice as an option too.

Breakfast staff were not very friendly or helpful.
Blank tables and comment from staff on arrival "Continental" and just left you standing there.
Breakfast experience by staff
Food was fine though strange having to find everything for your BLANK table

Situation, comfortable room, great historic building.
Cost of drinks in bar, chose elements of cooked breakfast but that just made for a small breakfast as given just one of each element.

Didn't have breakfast. Was going out early.
Location perfect.
Like the older fashion feeling, staircase, reception and bar area, paintings.
Shower was good. Bath a good size.
Although the room was very small it was okay for me on my own. View not good but I wasn't there to sit looking out the window.
3.0 / 10.0
the sheets were clean, bathroom a bit tight. Left luggage room very useful
Managers never smiled and never spoke to any clients. Welcome at check in poor.
Fire alarm around midnight highlighted problems. Few guests paid any attention. I was down at the front desk with about 5 other blokes who had gone down , and no staff were there to pass on info.
After about 15 min one person arrived to say he had been up to 327 or something like that re a hair dryer.
No attendance by Fire Service which was worrying

Central location
Terrible service. Room was dark and dingy. Shower wouldn’t drain away.
Dining room tables were not set up for breakfast.
Nothing on the tables at all.
It was awful. No one asked if we wanted a cooked breakfast.
Had issues in the bar, was refused service as they said we were only allowed to order 4 drinks - long story, manager got involved and we did get an apology but we didn’t feel comfortable going back in to the bar again.

Central location, close to everything
Old building, old plumbing. Still worked ok, just not familiar with the set up.
