The location of the hotel is perfect if you want to explore Inverness. Easy transport routes for travelling out of the city.
The car park is awful. Spaces are too small for modern cars. The rooms do feel out of date. Definitely needing re decorated.

It was a great area. You can get around the whole central part of town and the staff were lovely
It was way too hot in the hotel and the air conditioning didnt work. The handles from the window was removed making it extra warm. We couldnt sleep at the weekend because of the nightlife and we didnt have a toilet brush in our bathroom

Extremely noisy every night.
All night.
Screaming shouting, until we'll after 3am
Bin men emptying bottles, beer delivery, it was endless and sleep continually disturbed.
Boy in bar refused to serve a pint at 1150 pm despite being hotel guests.

The location and the Staff
I have never stayed in a hotel where there was no bedside unit and a double bed placed against a wall that made getting in and out of bed very unsuitable for two people.
5.0 / 10.0
Central and close to city centre
Room was noisy and parking fees for residents.
8.0 / 10.0
Proximity to centre of city.
Awful racket from pub's music straight across from hotel in Church Street which went on until just before midnight. Then around 07.30am the bins were emptied.
Suggest that licensing board officials try listening for themselves and impose noise restrictions both in decibels and time. Just awful for guests and residents alike.
Poor general lighting in bedroom but all bulbs working.

Location is good.
Being charged £15 for the Hotel Car Park. The Hotel could be doing with a bit TLC, looks shabby and rundown.

This is a tired hotel. A multi million revamp and this would be the place to stay, everyone would want to be at the Mercure

Excellent location for bus and railway stations
Hotel is surrounded by Night Clubs, therefore very loud music into early hours of the morning, & loud shouting when customers leave when they close. We were moved to a room on the river side after complaining that was better.

Large room and very clean, bed very comfortable. Large TV.
Unfortunately I was on the main street where there was a lot of noise throughout the night then early morning with bottles being emptied. I may request riverside room next time.

Excellent location, room was ok, the heater in the room had no heat I was only sleeping in the room so didn't bother to ring reception. Good choice of breakfast and drinks.
I was overall very happy with this hotel and would book again.

Location was good. Lots within walking distance and near the river. Fresh robe and slippers. Big bed and big TV. Several areas to chill out downstairs. Pool table.
Entrance from car park was unpleasant. Smelt of cigarette smoke. Food wasn’t brilliant. Around the hotel they boast wanting a 10/10, but need a lot more attention to detail to get there.
First, the photos online showed we would get a river view and a larger room with seating area. Neither was the case when we checked in. Bathroom, mildew around floor, and in the shower. Shampoo pump was empty and carpet could do with a shampoo. It got too warm and the air didn’t work and windows didn’t open so we were unable to regulate the temperature.
As for dining last night, the chicken tenders were too hard and had to be remade. We kept seeing tables that came in after us being cleared and offered dessert and then leaving. We had to ask for the desert menu. Having said this, the girls serving were young and meant no harm and were helpful when asked.
When we checked out the bill was too high. They had charged us for an item they were out of. We couldn’t get an itemised bill so this issue is still outstanding.

The location was bang in the centre. The staff there were super friendly. Breakfast had a nice selection
The room I stayed in was facing the town side which was really noisy at night. The walls in the hotel are slightly thin so you can hear other guest.

Very central and easy to find.
Ros are not well sound insulated so being on the main party street meant it was quite noisy all night. Felt tired and in need of a freshen up. Car park was a battle to find a space and get into it.

Shower looked great but poor performance, and just enough tea bags and milk for 1 cup

The location and the lovely helpful staff
Not sure about the parking facility. The nice girl on reception told me a might get a fine as I put a number wrong in my license plate but did correct it. Will find out I guess but I’ve to contact them if I do.

Most was all good, rooms nice and spacious, shower good, location excellent all facilities you would expect in a hotel
The only thing that let it down was some of the staff weren’t very approachable and didn’t seem that they were happy in there roles in the hotel

Very central to all the popular bars, shops and restaurants.
Was quite noisy at night with being so central but was in the perfect location if you’re heading out for drinks and something to eat. No need for taxis as you’re right in the heart of the centre so noise was a given.

It was really handy for shopping as it’s very central the car park on site was good for going back and fire to unload shopping bags spaces a bit narrow though the £12 charge was worth it as you leave it the next day as well
It was clean tidy staff friendly too

Bedroom dark, cold very cold slept with lots of extra clothing on, restaurant staff took too long to welcome you we weren’t the only ones to get fed up waiting to be acknowledged…Tables left uncleared for far too long…
