Comfortable but not as pleasant as it could be.

The room was spacious, modern, clean and quiet. The bathroom also comfortable and modern. Good location, near the city center (less than 10 minutes walking). The breakfast was good in quality and variety. The hotel staff was polite, more so at the front desk, a little bit stiff at the breakfast area.

The rate was a bit overpriced, but the most annoying part was the absurd sum of 50 pounds per day as deposit. Not only was that exact amount not specified in the Booking.com terms for the particular reservation, but also, this practice in general, no matter how widespread may be claimed to be, creates a feeling of distrust and suspicion towards the guest. It would be better for this policy to be abolished.

AC in November

I liked the personal touches in the room and the herbal sleep aid that was available for free in the lobby. Staff was very helpful. I liked the view of the river from my room.

Restaurant hotel prices were a bit steep. Could have had a little more lighting in the room.

Room was spacious, nice view. Shower was great. Nice toiletries available. Fridge was handy. Tea facilities. Great location. Staff friendly and helpful. I was pleased to be able to check in at 1pm.

I didn't sleep too well, unsure why. Walls quite thin, I could hear neighbour coughing. A/c /heating was tricky to operate.

Generally good, apart from the thumping music.

Room was comfortable and well-appointed. Breakfast was the standard "do everything yourself" buffet, but good quality. Location was on the less attractive side of town.

Main drawback was the thumping music in all public areas, including reception, at all times.

Perfect experience

By far the best hotel I have been to in the UK. Rooms were spacious and clean. The view was nice. The staff were available and polite and the common spaces were amazing. The breakfast was one of the best I had among more than 40 hotels I visited in the last two years. If you are in Inverness I would surely recommend staying here.

Rooms are too noisy, when other guests (above and in the corridor) are walking, no high heels, but normally moving around in their rooms and corridor this is noticeable in the room. Airconditioning is too noisy as weel, attempted several settings, all unsatisfactory.

Modern hotel, nice decor. Breakfast was amazing, great value and on from 7am to 11am fantastic! late (12noon) checkout fab! Nice clean comfy, quiet rooms. Evening meals and snack foods great! Location excellent for the town. Staff helpful and friendly, overall a very good stay, would recommend and visit again.

Only a few small niggles, the heating in the room, no instructions on how to work the thermostat and when I arrived back to the room late in the evening, the room was boiling 25.5 degrees, it took me half an hour to get the temp to start coming down and even then it took hours, I had leave the window open all night, then to top it all, the next night it was too cold but rather than start messing about with the thermostat, I threw my winter coat on the bed, put on socks and filled my hot water bottle(dont leave home without one!) Instructions would be GOOD!. The tea tray in the room was a bit poor I thought, not very luxurious, only one small piece of shortbread, not inspiring, that`s an area that could be easily improved with some nicer offerings! Also NO WATER! One small bottle of water each in the fridge would have been a nice touch, its not expensive and just gives the fridge a reason to be ON. The decor of the place is lovely but what would have made it SMASHING would have been a focal fire feature, that would have made it more homely and warm as I did feel it was a touch draughty in the bar/dinning area at times. I noticed that the dining chair I was sitting on the first night had food stains on the arms(cloth chair), I really wanted to ask for a cloth to give it a good clean! its one of the ones near the door to the outside seating area if you are interested (staff).

Great location, easy walk to town centre. Clean room with good amenities and a great view of the river. Very good breakfast with a large selection. Staff were helpful, nice and friendly.

If anything the parking cost could have been a bit cheaper for guests.

Disappointing

The room was clean, spacious and soundproof. Rich breakfast with an amazing river view.

To our disappointment, we were issued a penalty notice of £100 despite having informed the reception of our vehicle details both upon arrival and again during checkout. The reception staff confirmed that there was no issue with our parking and that the agreed £10 parking fee would simply be deducted from the deposit taken. Definitely avoiding staying at AC Hotel Inverness the next time I will be visiting Inverness.

I asked two different receptionists about gluten-free options for breakfast, they assured me there was "Plenty". I added 2x breakfasts on to my bill, but I discovered the EXTREMELY poor gluten free section at breakfast to be nowhere near justifying the £18 price tag. Bread, some sweet buns and eggs is a very poor offering, so I cancelled the breakfast order. Also, even for a hotel, the price of drinks at the bar was shocking

Breakfast choice was first class only thing missing was black pudding. The accessible room and its location couldn’t have been better. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A hidden gem we didn’t know about usually went to Kingsmill or Ness Walk but we’ll definitely use your hotel in future. Thank you for an excellent break.

Nice location, close to the river, restaurants and castle!

The location was in a good spot, close to restaurants, shops g, coffee shops, and driving distance to nice castles.

For the hotel being newer, they should give attention to the cleanliness of their furniture cushions in the lobby, and breakfast area. There shouldn’t be stains on every cushion. It’s not pleasant to the eye. Made me wonder how clean the rooms were.

During our stay (3 nights ) the elevator in our building was broken and we had to use the staircase. The lobby and staircases of our building were dirty and have not been cleaned during the stay. Only basic breakfast and food in general.

In short good facilities but staff lag was difficult to digest.

We loved the Reception ambiance, the lobby, bar and lounge area. We also loved the finesse of the rooms and cleanliness of the hotel.

The hotel was on full occupancy and the staff was over-worked. Clearly the place felt understaffed. It’s very important for the staff to have enough support so they are able to retain their friendly demeanor. People should not be working like machines as it reduces the quality of customer service. Secondly the rooms felt new but there was a slight musty stench in the rooms. Thirdly the room size failed to meet family standards and was too small. We booked for connecting rooms but that was not delivered to us.

Worth the extra cost...

A wonderful, spacious bedroom with a great ensuite shower. I had breakfast included and I enjoyed the peaceful surroundings inside and outside, being next to the river. Inverness is a great place to visit.
