Comfortable quite place, very friendly hosts and a great breakfast. What's not to like?

As returning guests, we liked the things we liked last time - the comfortable and cultured home that our very friendly hosts share with their guests, the fantastic breakfast and small touches like the fresh milk with your bedroom tea if you ask. No UHT here!

Unfortunately the light above the bathroom basin was out and our hosts didn't have a spare in stock (and unable to get one late on a Saturday evening when discovered). Only an irritant and just unlucky, but on the up side it did give me an excuse not to shave before we departed. As a general point, and extra shelf or two in the bathroom would have been helpful to enable us to unpack our washbags more fully but no big deal.

I was a delight.

The hosts were wonderful. We had a delightful time talking with them and the had a lot of helpful advice. Breakfast was also great and the Lodge was beautifully appointed. Overall, a memorable stay thanks to Sean and Marion.

Strome Lodge is a gem! The owners went out of their way to make you feel welcome. For example, we had to leave earlier one morning than the scheduled breakfast but Marian and Sean prepared a delicious early breakfast. We recommended that Strome Lodge is the place to stay when visiting Inverness.

A perfect stay for a great few days in Inverness. I would definitely stay here again.

Marion and Sean were an absolute delight as hosts. The property is an easy 15-20 minute walk to the main shopping and eating area in central Inverness. There was plenty on offer for breakfast and the quality was excellent.

Having some warm summer days while we visited, I would have loved a lighter doona/quilt or a top sheet for a more comfortable sleep.

Marion and Sean were absolutely lovely, I felt so welcomed and really appreciated their hospitality! Very comfortable rooms, I loved the mattress and slept very well! Breakfast was lovely! Really cannot fault my stay and if I find myself in Inverness again, I know where I’m staying 😊

Lovely hosts and stay

The room was very nice, but the hosts were absolutely lovely. Marian was so kind to provide us with some food for our early tour departure, and added homemade touches. Sean was also very nice when we arrived going over some of the details of our stay. We’d happily stay again.

Our hosts we're very friendly and helpful. Our breakfast was excellent. Nice touch being greeted with a bottle of water and makeup removing pads in the bathroom. My request for non dairy milk was no problem. The fresh fruit at breakfast was delicious.

We (me and spouse) felt we would have liked unlimited coffee at breakfast (!!) & in fairness we didn't challenge the second small caffettiere on offer.. possibly we should have just asked!

Excellent place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Stroke Lodge. Everything was excellent. Marion and Shaun are very friendly and gave us plenty of ideas for places to visit, restaurants etc. We will stay there again when we pay another visit to Inverness.

The perfect B&B

After an 8 hour train journey, the 15 minute walk to the B&B was a relief. Wonderful welcoming owners made for a very pleasurable few days’ stay. Tasty substantial breakfasts set us up for the day with useful advice from our hosts to make the most of the visit to Inverness. Spotless room with facilities and a lovely hot shower waiting after our excursions. We really enjoyed our time at Strome Lodge with such pleasant owners.

Fabulous home and owners with a “just like home atmosphere “.

From the moment we walked into the house, it was like being at our home! The room was fabulous and decorated beautifully! The bed was so comfortable! Fresh water and tea/coffee in our room. They had everything we would need. Breakfast was delicious and served hot! They have the best pup who is so friendly! The home is within a short walk to dining and shopping. I highly recommend this property to everyone! The owners are amazing, kind and so friendly!
