The location is really good, in a quiet marina but not too far from the city centre and there are plenty of shops/supermarkets nearby.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was nice to chat to the other guests. There’s a nice lounge area with tea & coffee available.
Cabin 3 was tiny and difficult to move around easily for 2 people.
It was difficult to get much sleep as what sounded like a generator kept running!
We previously had a better stay in Cabin 1 - bit bigger, no generator noise
The shower was very small

A different type of accommodation which was well worth it for a diffierent experience. Very quite area and beautiful location looking at the stars at night. Breakfast was great, so much food. Staff member was extremely helpful and happy to make sure you have a good experience on board.
Beds were a little small, but they were comfortable. Not a lot of room,

Nothing was good, terrible customer service. I wanted to cancel. They tell me i have to cancel with booking. Because they cannot, than booking sends a message that they only can cancel it and than they did not cancel it.

The breakfast was amazing! Very nicely done. We love the common sitting/dining area: cozy and with good view.
Beds are small, bathroom also. But these are what you’d expect with a boat accommodation.

The location was great, very easy to find and secure parking. Room very nice but too warm for me but my husband loved it.
nothing could have been improved

Love everything about our stay !
Just a suggestion don't come packed with large suitcases.Rooms are small and no extra storage on board.

Quirky. Fun to stay on board. Easy to find and memorable breakfast.
It's a boat, so not much room to swing a cat, but kind of what I expected, so that's really not meant to be a complaint!

Very unique. Location was very quiet. Ample parking.
Steep steps to downstairs rooms. No windows in downstairs rooms. It is at least a 20 minute walk to city center.

It was an unusual hotel as it was on the water and very friendly. The chef came in early to cook us breakfast this morning.

Owner very entertaining and knowledgeable.takes pride in service he is providing.breakfast great.this is a boat so expect boat facilities and comfort but this was soooo comfortable ,bed comfortable and cosy sofas in lounge.

Friendly welcome. The manager hung on to meet me as I arrived later than the check in by 6pm (which I was unaware of). Lovely location at the harbour just over a mile from train station.
It is a boat - a novelty!
Beware, the single cabin has a VERY narrow bed, it is about half the width of a normal single bed. The bed was very clean and neat but other bits of the room were a bit grubby, as was the shower (which was outside the room and in the alleyway). The bed was quite high (waste height) and the room (naturally enough as it is a cabin on a boat!) is small.
Also beware, the tea & coffee facilities can be accessed before the 8am breakfast but you have to know to go through a door that has bungee ties across it making it look like it is out of bounds. It isn’t! I was unaware and therefore missed out on this facility, which would have been welcome as I woke at 5am and couldn’t find an access point.
Also beware, it is a boat and noise travels. Doors opening and closing etc (hence me being a wake at 5am). Also there is (to be expected as it is a boat) engine noise of some kind - perhaps the electricity generator? Seemed to go on and off early evening but then did stop but not sure what time.

Lovely bed, and great quality bed linen
I'm sorry to write this review, but prompts by Booking.com just kept coming! We undoubtedly visited on an off day! The showers were out of order for a number of hours but the killer blow was the the downstairs toilets didn't work at all in the evening ,overnight and early morning. There were four people with no access to a loo. In the morning I saw that I had a text from a member of staff at 11pm the previous night saying that we could go onshore to a dockside toilet. In the end, I snuck into the staff section of the boat to discover a toilet off the kitchen, and unlocked a door to give us access. In the morning, I was praised for my "initiative". My advice?.... is that staff should not disappear, no matter how embarrassed they are about what has gone wrong

It’s lovely to stay on a boat. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was decent.
I had an issue with my cabin because the bunk was about 4 feet off the ground, but there was no rail. I’ve sailed a lot and any bunk has a rail to keep you from rolling out. It was impossible to get a hold of anybody by phone to get help. The carpet was filthy. The bathrooms were not clean and the linens were so cheap and itchy and scratchy. Just really cheap quality all around. Disappointing. They need to upgrade the ship.

Staff were great, breakfast was delicious, it was a lovely experience sleeping on a boat. The marina was very peaceful and shops were close by.
The space was tight, but to be expected being on a boat. Steps/ladder were steep.

The Boat is really cute. The Owner and Richard were very kind. The breakfast was extraordinary!

The property is in a great location to get into the centre of Inverness on foot. It’s also a bit different to stay on a boat. Richard is an excellent host and cooks a great breakfast that sets you up for the day.
Nothing, all good.

In hindsight, too far out of town but it was an unique experience nonetheless and great views. Our host was very welcoming.
Certainly NOT disabled friendly, almost vertical stairs leading to double bedroom, I was struggling with them! Host had difficulty understanding English so whatever you want for breakfast it comes as standard, no menu!

It felt like visiting family rather than a hotel. Richard makes excellent breakfast, and the experience of living on a boat is unparalleled!

Fun, unusual B&B with friendly staff and great breakfast.
Allowing that it is indeed a recently-converted boat, the double cabin was pretty comfortable with a good en suite. But, it wasn't fully cleaned, and the hot water failed in the morning.

Small rooms (it’s a boat, what do you expect!) but very comfortable. Slept very soundly each night. And Richard is the best host you could ask for!

True adventure and very relaxed atmosphere. Richard very attentive and discreetly available if needed.
Steep stair to the cabin was a challenge however take your time and you will be fine.

Unforgettable location with beautiful sunsets. The host, Richard was fantastic and prepared the best breakfast in Inverness.

The host Richard was very polite, hospitable and couldn't have done enough for my son and I, who enjoyed the quirkyness of staying on the boat.
The room (cabin 3) was very warm. There was a fan but this only helped just a little. There was also no lock (which works) on the toilet door.

Richard is definitely one of the greatest assets of the property. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and a great cook! Locations was ideal for Inverness, it had easy papering for us and a number of restaurants within a 10 minute walk. A number of grocery stores are within a 5 minute walk.

It is a special accommodation, comfortable beds, clean rooms. Cheerful man who welcomed us - the dining room for reception is cozy with coffee and tea.
The breakfast is very nicely arranged and generous but far too much.
Suggestion: only serve English breakfast to order instead of automatically.
Negative points:
- Not permanent presence of host, many guests who came after us had to call the number.
- We would have liked to know more about the boat, the history etc. but didn‘t because of language barriers from the host.
- Overall, I see a lot of potential, the boat could certainly be sold to the guests in a more cheerful and historical way - maybe also offer alcohol and whiskey in the dining room, make the deck more cozy.... Thank you very much!

The staff went out of his way to welcome us with tea and biscuits. Breakfast was delicious. The bedding and room were crisp and clean. Guests were hospitable and engaging. It was an excellent evening meeting people from around the world. Sunset over the marina was beautiful!
I had trouble finding the marina for some reason.

Fantastic stay onboard! Location was beautiful. Richard looked after us extremely well and went out of his way to help us when I accidentally left my watch there. Thankyou Richard. Breakfast beautifully cooked and delicious.

Breakfast was great. Room was clean. Rooms as expected although didn’t realise there would be steep steps. Mum managed them ok so not a big issue. Room was clean and warm. Boat is in a brilliant spot easy to find sun was shining so all was good.
I had an issue with noise guest in adjoining room snoring woke me up as walls were thin…. I ended up going up to the lounge as it was so bad. Not the owners fault at all but personally I didn’t sleep all night due to this. Understand that most people wouldn’t have an issue with this but we didn’t sleep well.

Rooms , en suite and dining room/ lounge were clean and tidy , the host was chatty and recommended a place to eat for evening meal .
Breakfast was great , well presented and cooked.
Location was easy to find but it is a good trek from the train or bus station.
We felt the room was a little too tight and slightly claustrophobic . It was awkward for two people and with 3 different floor levels in the room toes were stubbed. Perhaps had I stayed on a boat before I would have realised this so my bad .
Our biggest gripe was there was no natural light and no way of getting fresh air into the berth so be prepared.

Alex was very welcoming and helpful. He had an abundance of information on anything you wanted to know. Would definitely recommend, oh and a great breakfast.
Everything was as expected. We knew it was not a hotel so you don't expect that hih standard.
