A lovely, cozy bed and breakfast close to Inverness' city center

I very much enjoyed staying at this Guest House. The room was cozy, the bed was like a cloud, and the electric shower was delightfully hot. The host also had a complimentary breakfast spread available every morning, and hot breakfast available to order the evening prior.

A little dusty under the radiator / the bed but I suspect most guests wouldn't notice or care about that!

The location was great: it was only a 15 minute walk to the middle of town. The breakfast was cooked-to-order and very good.

Great location - easy walk into city center. Ross was a lovely host and breakfast was amazing. The room/bed was very comfortable.

The shower! The water pressure was so low I had trouble rinsing my hair and the temperature kept going from burning hot to freezing cold. I skipped a shower on our second morning!

I felt welcomed, and everything was as close to perfect as you can get!

The breakfast was amazing, the host Ross was incredibly kind, and even let me use the boiler to dry a shoe after I fell in a stream. The room was as expected, and they even provided a fan! the bed was as comfortable as you’d expect! The bathroom was small but all that I needed as a solo traveller.The bus stop was not even a 5 minute walk from the house to and it can take you straight into town! It was my first solo trip and I on the whole felt very invited and cared for.

It was decent enough but overpriced. Parking on site was very handy. Mini fridge in the room. Comfy bed and good shower.

Cleanliness could've been a lot better. Poor TV signal, relying on old fashioned aerial! Noise disturbance from the early morning risers.

Great place to stay in Inverness for exploring the Highlands!

Ross was an amazing host! He was able to accommodate our sightseeing itinerary when it didn't match up with his regular breakfast service. And the food was great! As for location, it was a very easy 7-8 minute walk into Inverness where dinner options were plentiful. Rooms, while not large, were clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

The Royston Guest house was like finding a gem and would recommend to anyone visiting Inverness.

Ross was an amazing and gracious host. The full Scotish breakfast was excellent. The house was very cozy and location was very convenient to everything in and around Inverness. Free parking in a private lot behind house was perfect.

Breakfast was EXCELLENT every day! Lots of choices, simple process of filling out a little paper every night on what you wanted. Ross was friendly and had great ideas on things to see and do. We forgot a kindle when we checked out (didn't know of course) and he got in his car and found us before we even got to the train station.

No complaints at all. The stay was wonderful!

Pleasant

Accommodation was very clean, room was spacious enough. and comfortable bed. Within 10 min walk to town centre. Breakfast was nice, plenty choice.

We found Ross nice but felt he treated us a bit like children. We got a row for not using the secure door code when we first arrived. However, although we knew to use it after checking in, as we arrived mid afternoon we felt it was rude to use it before we had even met the host. (maybe that was our mistake when reading the email we got, felt Ross snapped at us a wee bit and we had only just arrived). We also got a row for not using a milk jug at breakfast in the morning (my fault, I didn't see them) and then on checking out when I checked if we needed to pay the host or if Booking.com just took payment from our account (first time we used them), we felt he was angry we did not know that we had to pay him before leaving. Maybe just tell the customers that when they arrive, just in case they are not sure. Just felt a wee bit like being told off, like we were children. Sorry Ross don't mean any harm but review should be truthful. Despite these little things we had a lovely stay.

Excellent breakfast. Best breakfast i had in my 2 week in scotland. Very good room service as well and a nice quite area. Owner is friendly and a cool guy as well.
