A magical time-travel stay with spotless comfort and sensational breakfasts

A truly magical stay—an absolute time-travel experience. Gorgeous old palais with three unique rooms, beautifully renovated while keeping its elegant Belle Époque charm. Our ground-floor room opened onto a dreamy garden, everything was immaculate, and breakfast was outstanding (fresh bakery every morning!). The location couldn’t be better. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was delicious, building was beautiful and interesting - very historic, staff were very helpful and welcoming and the location was perfect; right in the historic centre. Also, the price was amazing!

Les chambres de l‘abbaye

The rooms had exceptional character. There was a large table in the living room which was suitable for doing work. The breakfast was large of good quality and served personally by the hostess Segoline. The hostess was always available to answer any questions. The location is very good, very central.

From the bedroom you could hear some traffic from the street when the living room door was open. So best to keep it closed at night. Sometimes during the early evening you could hear footsteps in the room above although at night the bedroom is quiet. The shower is a bit cramped for a large man.

Excellent spot in the heart of Caen

We appreciated the style and theme of the building and the rooms. The owner was very welcoming. It's a cosy place and our suite, consisting of 2 rooms, was very spacious. The breakfast was very nice and consisted of fresh products; some prepared on the spot. The location of this B&B is excellent and the nearby secured parking is a big plus.

The mattress was very soft; this may be preferred by some, but we would have liked it to be firmer. The location right in the city center on a busy street also comes with a small drawback: the bedroom on the front side of the building does get noise from the street.

Wonderfully central, full of character (and stairs which go with the character). Great for walking in Caen.

Nothing they could help. We had a lot of trouble trying to find on-street parking for long enough to get their card for free parking, and in the end just went to the very good and close underground car park, which is not expensive. I would advise doing the same if you hit the same problem - it's no big deal.

Fantastic! We couldn't wait to go back to enjoy the peaceful environment and beautiful room.

We loved being there. Our room was spacious with French windows onto the garden and a huge lounge with sofa. Beautiful decor and very comfortable bed. Despite being large the rooms wer e very warm. Breakfast in the first floor dining room was excellent. Our host Segolen was charming.

The bathroom with shower was a little small. The lighting was quite subdued so not too good to read by.

the family who run the place are second to none. position excellent . room clean private and romantic. the sons of our hosts were a delight very polite and always acknowledged us in passing. but the clincher for us is the garden just beautiful

lovely welcome from the owner, especially as we arrived quite late. excellent breakfast with beautifully cooked scrambled eggs plus all the usual French breakfast items. great location in the city centre

attic bedroom was clean and ok but up a lot of stairs. rather odd having kettle and tea bags etc in a locked room next door where no plug socket!
