Dene Rooms

Helpful staff, very clean room, bedding and towels, very nice area, felt very safe. Coffee/tea making facilities

Was quite cold at night but very hot in the day could do with a fan.

No breakfast included. Was safe clean but dated. Rooms were very warm.

Stairs leading up to the room were very steep. May be a problem for people who find stairs a challenge

The property was clean, comfortable, and well presented. The receptionist staff, especially Michael, was amazing. He was very welcoming and showed me everything around, making the stay feel easy and stress free.

There was nothing major to dislike. Everything was generally good, just minor improvements could be made to make the stay even better.

Jesmond is a nice, safe part of the city and it's a quick and easy metro ride to the centre. It was very cheap compared to other places and we were happy with the bed, room, facilities etc. nice touch to give people more than one coffee sachet too :)

We didn't sleep at all but to be fair that's not really the fault of the hotel (comfortable bed etc) but rather that we stayed on the night of England's semi final loss to Argentina and drunk men were banging around, slamming doors, shouting in corridors and rooms until the early hours. The room was cosy but the walls are far too thin and the fire doors are so heavy and slam very hard when left to close by themselves. I literally had to go shouting at people to please be considerate that we were exhausted. The hotel is entirely self check in and out but there was a man doing a night shift at reception; he didn't talk much and I felt like his presence was a bit pointless because if he's there and there's rowdiness, why not get involved so I don't have to lose my temper with other guests? Also check in time is too late (15:00) and check out time is too early (10:00). Probably a throwback from covid times but really do cleaners need so much time? 11am is standard and that extra hour to rest is much appreciated.
