Superb location, modern hotel with all amenities.

The housekeeping wasn’t up to the hotels standards at all. Beds weren’t done properly and the dust and dirt remained and wasn’t cleaned.

New n modern

Lightning was too dim. Could not use it to do make up. Moisture from bathroom is an issue as the fan doesn’t clear it so it’s steams the mirror and everywhere.

Fantastic hotel. Brilliant staff. Perfect location in the middle of town. Breakfast had everything and was really tasty. It was our anniversary and hotel gave us 2 drinks and a box of chocolates lol. A lovely touch

The Maldron was very centrally situated. Very near to restaurants and shops.

Overall very happy with a 1st visit to Newcastle. Hotel Maldron is in a great location.

Reception crew, room space and facilities, breakfast and the breakfast team. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is very clean with one exception (see below). Room temperature was good and easy to use aircon. A great central location. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Bathroom: plugholes in sink and bath need thorough clearing. I found the pillows too firm. TV image was low quality below standard compared with recent hotel stays. Unable to dry bath towels efficiently. There was damp (condensation) below the window. Could not open the window fully. Was this a Health & Safety aspect?

Great customer service!

Customer service from Victoria on the front desk was fantastic - she was so kind and friendly, and upgraded us after finding out one of the group was pregnant. Beds were very comfortable and the room was huge!

Nice hotel and nice staff. Would stay again

The location was good and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Booked two rooms and enquired if it was possible if they could be near one another. We were give adjoining rooms one was an assisted room. Which had we have known we would not have wanted as being 5foot 9 inches everything was too low apart from the toilet. Also, we had a lot of noise from 3am the first night from the room above, it felt like moving furniture and did mention it to a staff member we saw in the lift. She was lovely and offered to move us but we decided to stay put.

Great location and designed hotel

Very centrally located hotel but still quiet and restful - clean, well designed and just seems to work well with check in and check out. Staff around were polite and helpful. The room was comfortable. Happily stay here again

Shower had good pressure but you had to choose the right setting. Otherwise, nothing to fault. Everything you need is there.

Returning customer - another excellent stay!

Clean, comfortable and good value. When checking in, Arif was great to deal with and I was offered an upgraded room as a returning customer. Breakfast had a wide selection of food with very helpful staff. Had evening meal at the hotel with delicious food, and the 2 staff members in the dining room were excellent (sorry, didn’t get their names). Will definitely be back!

Excellent location, good accommodation.

Excellent city centre location with nice modern accommodation. The room was comfortable with a lovely bathroom and a large TV we were in an inner room which was very quiet. The public rooms were welcoming and well furnished with a nice breakfast room.

Housekeeping could have been better after the first day, beds weren't well made and no refresh of the complimentary water. The room was a little dark and could do with some additional lighting.
