Short but comfortable

We were visiting our daughter (a student) and just needed a place to sleep. The hotel was well placed and comfortable and staff helpful. Very happy. Would happily use again.

Staff very friendly and helpful Lift Jesmond Dene park within 20 minute walk, well worth visiting Facilities on the doorstep - bars, restaurants, takeaways, shops

Initially given a cold, small, gloomy room (112) which wasn't the expected standard of an executive room. Had to complain and ask to be moved to a room more like the description of the executive room i had booked on Booking.com Bathroom large but dated, however good shower.

Lovely but the bathroom should have a non slip floor

The staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful

There was no hot water when I arrived but was informed when I arrived that it was being worked on and I got hot water around 7pm but took ages to warm up, also the accessible room with bathroom, there was a loose floor tile which could be dangerous for a more disabled person.

rooms were excellent - very spacious and surprisingly quiet as we were on the main road opposite a busy bar Friendly, helpful staff Lovely bar area. We did not have breakfast but did enjoy a coffee

Convenient parking, helpful staff.

The room only had 2 plug sockets which were fixed just above the desk, very difficult to plug appliances in as no room below for the cord to come out due to the desk. Receptionist provided an extension cable so we didn't have to force our plugs in and damage them. Phoenix breakfast ingredients on printed menu did not have egg listed, breakfast arrived with an egg on the plate ( I'm allergic to eggs). I had to point out to staff member the error on the menu!

The bedrooms were noisy the floor creaked every time someone walked past, I’m a light sleeper tho , and it was very warm even with the radiator off, staff were very helpful

Warm and friendly hotel with great local coffee bars, a Waitrose and the Moor close by.

Staff are lovely and went out of the way to make our stay enjoyable over Christmas. Beds are v comfortable. Breakfast had a big choice.

Confusion over Breakfast times over Christmas. It would have been better if they could have given a note to us with times when initially giving us the room keys on arrival.

Staff were lovely and the room was spotless. Breakfast was wonderful.

We had a great stay. These are very nit-picking and minor grumbles. The shower door leaked water onto the floor so we used more towels than we normally would to mop up the water. Breakfast was great, but the day menu could do with more veggie options.

Stayed in a triple room with my sons, visited Newcastle for an evening with Bryan Robson. Great location, great hotel, great staff. Only a short taxi to the gate. Stayed here last year, so always look for it.

A mixed bag

The hotel is situated very conveniently for central Jesmond and Newcastle. We had a very nice large superior room , which was clean and comfortable.Bed was very comfortable and bathtoom was o.k. The hotel had a lively bar and a restaurant on site.

Although our room was nice, The corridors, carpets and paintwork and lifts were tatty and in need of refurbishment. The bar unfortunately was set up pretty much for students and was noisy in every area , without anywhere quiet to sit. It had the air of a young person's, smelly beer pub.

You can have a hot cold water mixture in the washbasin. Breakfast was good almost all throughout my stay. However I noticed a slight drop in quality when the guests were less.

Great hotel with Good price, Great value for money. The best in Jesmond for families.

The hotel is very nice and clean, The family room is big and beds are comfortable. Tea and coffee every day and room service cleans daily. The location is perfect in the heart of Jesmond, Near local shops and near the metro station which takes you anywhere in the city. The availability of hotel parking was invaluable, I managed to find spots most of the days. Everyone so helpful and lovely. Service was exceptional. We had a lovely time. It was fantastic.

Very basic, wouldn’t stay again.

Fair sized room

Bathroom was not of great standard. The bath was very high to get into and we are tall people. The towels were left on the floor to mop up all the water from the shower on day one and not changed. We read they should have been put in the bath but the room was swimming with water due to the way the shower cannot be moved. Bins weren’t emptied on first day and glasses we used were not replaced. The hotel is situated right above a pub which is very noisy. The room was adjacent to the lift so we heard that pinging through the night. The website said ample parking but we struggled to get a space. Breakfast was passable but not a great offering and staff weren’t most attentive.

Perfect from check in to check out

We really enjoyed our visit from check in to check out. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was excellent with some really nice touches such as the crisps and biscuits. Had a real luxury feel without the luxury price tag

Nice clean hotel, good location, reasonably priced and nice staff (particularly in reception and the bar)

Good central location in Jesmond and close to public transport

No air con or fan, so the room was pretty hot. The breakfast could have been better, the toaster didn’t toast very well and the eggs were cold when they first brought out.
