Beautiful location up the road from Jesmond Dene park and walking distance to Town Moor. Quiet. Convenient bus nearby to the beaches. Nice towels and bedding.
I had an emergency need to use the internet at midnight to complete a time sensitive police report and car rental damage report ( a scrape while driving through a small town near Hadrians Walk). The wifi/internet didn’t work. After three and a half hours I gave up. I needed to be back at the airport early the next morning for the damage report ( after doing a police report at the airport as my only option) but I was too afraid to sleep at 3:30am because my alarm on my phone would not have rung with no internet. I couldn’t call the police using WhatsApp to file a report by phone in the middle of the night because What’s App requires internet. The next day in the middle of the day the internet worked but that was too late for me. Also minor things: tiny tv, few channels, no streaming TV, windows open only 2inches wide, cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling, no hand soap in the dispenser at the sink.
