Excellent value for money, lovely hostess, interesting conversations and a homely environment.

This is my third stay at Maria's house it is like home from home for me. I loved catching up. The bed is big and comfy. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and my big thing at all stays is the black out blinds or curtains and these were very good. I love a brew so being provided with tea is a lovely touch. The breakfast for me is spot on as having toast and or cereal is what I would have at home. Plenty of choices there. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend great value for money, within easy reach of everything. Enjoyed my two nights there.

Maria was a fantastic host, she has a beautiful home, safe, clean and easy to get into the city centre. Bed was comfy and shower nice and hot. Would definitely stay again.

If I get back to Newcastle in September I plan on stopping there again that is how highly I rate it.

Cereals and toast, it is what I am used to, I am a simple guy so really like the basics and this was more than adequately catered for. Really felt like home from home.

Breakfast was ok, but nothing fancy, it was cereals & milk. This is a family run business, and the host (Maria) was excellent. Very friendly & eager to help. Would definitely stay there again in the future.

Bedroom could be a bit bigger, but generally it was ok !

Do not recommend.

Clean and comfy room. Free parking right next to thre enterance. Good Wifi.

No shared kitchen even though it's written in the facillities on booking and shown in the photos. When confronted about this the host was very rude ("it's not my problem that it appears that way on booking.com"). Even more ridiculus is that the enterance and living room are messy with childrens toys, the bathroom is cluttered with the hosts personal items, and all the while the host claims this is a "nice B&B, so why would there be a shared kitchen (which makes a mess for the other guests)?". Location is terrible, at least 15 minutes drive from any decent resteraunt to grab dinner. Free breakfast is a joke - just some crappy cereal.

My host was very warm, friendly, welcoming, very trusting & happy to help with anything. It was a very nice, warm, relaxing atmosphere & felt like I was staying with family as I was introduced to a few family members which was nice. My room was clean, tidy & comfortable. I was trusted with the owners keys to get in late after a gig & also to lock up & let myself out after my stay. Breakfast was left out for me to help myself to a variety of cereals, juices, tea/coffee, toast & fruit. I'd be happy to stay again & would of loved to of stayed & looked around Newcastle for longer than I did as everyone was very friendly & helpful. Thank you.

I think the breakfast was good. The major thing though is the serene environment and a hostess who'd go a mile extra to secure your comfort.....quite worth it.
