Good value and great location.

Very clean, good breakfast, plenty of parking and property in great condition.

Entrance to car park is very confusing it’s too easy to end up on a track running to the side of the hotel. It needs a warning sign.

Always A Great Stay

I have visited the hotel 3 times now. The deluxe double room on the 2nd floor was excellent, really clean and comfortable. It's great value for money and a quick taxi ride into the city centre

Easy to find, parking on site, friendly staff, bar and restaurants on site. Great bathrooms with powerful showers.

Exactly what we wanted for our night away from every day life

I liked the cleanliness of it and up to date design and the bed was comfortable

Nothing really 🤔 I thought it was very good 👍 I think maybe bottles of water in the room would be good as lots of other places I've stayed have a bottle of sparkling and still water with the tea etc

Short break

Location is ideal for the city or exploring the coast. Clean friendly and with a great bar and restaraunt attached. Staff are very easy tp talk to .

A nostalgic stay at an upgraded hotel.

I enjoyed all aspects of our stay at the hotel. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts and dinners were tasty and generous in proportions. All at a very reasonable price.

Another great stay at this hotel!

The location is perfect for access to the city centre and airport. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the bathroom and shower is a good size. The staff are very helpful and friendly and can't do enough for you. There are also electric car chargers available for free if you're staying at the hotel, which was a bonus for us. There is a great bar attached which does good food and there is a great choice for breakfast.

Although there is a good breakfast choice, it's a bit pricey.

Nice pleasant 2 days stay.

Excellent location very easy to access the City by Public Transport.

Only 1 x chair in the room, it was a double room but a bit tight on space, a small couch would have been good, the only place to sit was in the bed. The beds are very soft, not great for a dodgy back.

No earl grey tea bags,a smell in our room,was unpleasant,room 207,we did not complain to the hotel,as my husband has some social anxiety issues,and the prices of the food were too high,we ate somewhere else

Friendly Hotel but Sleep Deprived.

The staff at this hotel need to be applauded for their hardworking attitude and friendliness, especially their housekeeping team, which i want to thank as I created extra work due to my change of rooms.

I personally don't request a lot as a guest - clean surroundings and a decent mattress. Unfortunately, the mattresses I experienced in the two rooms i stayed in were literally like lying on springs.

Great hotel, would recommend!

The hotel was stylish, modern and super clean! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were a good size and the beds were really comfortable. The restaurants were clean too. The price was great and we will definitely return the next time we are in Newcastle!

Very nice

Stayed here while attending a function in Central Newcastle. While we used taxis to get into town it was still much cheaper than staying in town. Our room was really nice and breakfast was very filling. When we next visit Newcastle we will definitely consider returning to the Great North Hotel.

I couldn’t find the hair dryer as is was packed in a bag! No plug point for hating boiling water for teA.. we had to lift the whole thing over to the desk. A mirror over the desk where plug points are would ideal for short people

Perfect location as a base for the city and area

Clean well presented room, perfectly located as only 15min walk from the metro. Staff really helpful when needed. Lots of free parking available at the hotel.

Doors are quite noisy when closing around the floor you are on, could do with adjusting the speed they close.

Family trip

A warm welcome from reception, all staff were so happy and welcoming made us all feel welcome and at home. Rooms were clean and very comfortable, would recommend without any hesitation. Breakfast was explained- fabulous choice and great value for money. Free Parking a bonus too. ☺️

Great friendly comfortable hotel.

We have stayed here many time and look forward to coming again, we come to visit my daughter who lives in Newcastle. I always book the Queen Size bed it's sooooo comfy I could stay a week. Lovely fluffy pillows, great walk in shower. Tea coffee, herbal teas, ginger biscuits. What more could you want. The 3 Mile pub adjoining the hotel is very popular and serves lovely meals. Can't wait to return.

Black mugs can't tell if your tea is strong enough., nothing else.
