Lovely hotel

The position was nice, about 20 min walk to town, and a lot of pubs and restaurants in the area. Breakfast was ok, room was nice and staff was really helpful and kind!

Nothing really negative. If I have to find something, maybe would be the double bed a bit small and the bathroom small too, but nothing major

Very warm welcome from Laura and really well looked after by Kiran and the staff. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast freshly cooked while the bonus was being only a few minutes walk from the metro station

An Enjoyable Stay - December 2025!

My partner and I stopped here on 16th and 17th December 2025 for Martin Kemp's Ultimate 80's night at Wylam Brewery, Newcastle. We were booked into room 4 which was up two flights of stairs at the front of the building. A nice double room with ensuite and seating area, dressing table and wardrobe. The staff are exceptional and I particularly enjoyed the conversation with Tanya as we had both worked for two large North East organisations previously and knew alot of the same people! My partner and I enjoyed a relaxing cold drink at the hotel bar/reception upon checking in. Breakfast the following morning - a full english breakfast was hot and tasty. Parking - managed to park in one of the hotel's parking spaces at the rear of the building.

Latest breakfast sitting we could book was 830am. Blinds in our bedroom and ensuite were thick of dust and hadn't been cleaned for months. Two very minor points which didn't spoil our stay.

Friendly and convenient Jesmond hotel.

Great location for Jesmond and Northumbria University. Bus and metro nearby, walkable to city centre. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The bathroom was recently installed and in good condition. The breakfast was great. Poached egg done perfectly and choices for veggie, gluten free and cows milk allergy provided.

There was a stale smell like old cigarettes when I came into bedroom. I have a very sensitive sense of smell and my family didn’t notice it. The mattresses were quite hard and would benefit from a topper.

Good location, well maintained

Very well located at the quieter end of Osborne Road. An easy walk from Jesmond metro, and there's also a bus that stops nearby. Well proportioned single room, very comfortable, lovely ensuite (although the shower was a bit feeble). Universally friendly staff. Would stay again.

Good enough for one night

The staff are really friendly and fun. The breakfast room is really nice and the breakfast was good.

Limited parking. The bathroom could have been cleaner (outside of sink and wall next to toilet). Away from reception the hotel is starting to look tired. The rooms and linen could benefit from a refresh. A handle on the door would be helptul as there is only the latch on the door lock for opening the bedroom door.

Great hotel in Jesmond.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great breakfast with kippers on the menu. 24 hour front desk. 20 minutes to walk to the city or 5 minutes on the metro.

Extremely good value hotel that exceeded my expectations

Great value , good breakfast options . I stayed in a single room with modern bathroom . Ideally located in Jesmond for visiting my son . All of the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly

A comfortable and cosy hotel, well situated.

A well located and comfortable hotel. The staff were warm, friendly and willing to help at check-in/check-out and at breakfast - it was impressive that the staff at breakfast recognised guests and seemed to remember their orders and preferences! There were a good number of options for breakfast, which was provided at the attached restaurant. The room was comfortable and well equipped; I was able to adjust the temperature to a comfortable level easily, using the radiators in the room and bathroom and there was plentiful hot water. The bed was comfortable and extra blankets or pillows were available upon request; the hotel was quiet and I wasn't disturbed overnight.

The only thing that would have been useful to add were more toiletries - a small round of handsoap and a sachet of combined shampoo/conditioner was provided.

Friends trip to Newcastle

Brilliant value for money stay!

Clean and good sized room with all the facilities required, excellent well cooked breakfast plus really friendly staff made it a great stay. Also convenient location within walking distance of the City Centre.

Great rate and great staff. Perfect for a short stay

Really warm welcome and assistance with bags. The room was snug but had all one person could need for one night including soundproofing. The table-served a la carte breakfast (included in the reasonable rate) was more than adequate and served by a very friendly waitress.

You may find it a bit out of town at first, but the frequent metro is an easy 10-15 level walk away. I used the local bus app and day ticket and managed to sightsee Beamish and the inner city on a Sunday with few problems.

My room could have been cleaner. Although I appreciate it’s harder to keep a well used room spotless. Things like the glass in the bathroom having toothpaste in the bottom aren’t acceptable. Just a bit more attention to detail needed

Noisy at night since the room faced the main street, so people sensitive to noise should consider bringing earplugs. The toiletries provided were made in China, a more local option would've been appreciated
