The convenience really to the beach and shops. Its a great centrsl spot. We used the sauna around the corner and jumped in the sea afew times. Really recommend this. Great to nip back quickly for a bath and warm up.
The rooms were warm and comfy. Shower and bath hot enough, beds comfy and TV if you need. Good to have a kettle and hot drink making facilities and a fridge. Thankyou for putting our rooms close to each other 😀
Top spot also for the starling murmuration as they settle on the pier.
Maybe abit basic and plain to look at (the rooms) but the price was good for us on a budget.

I booked a cot through booking.com. No cot provided by the property and was told to contact booking.com for a refund. I did this and I had £4 refunded even though I had to put the mattress on the floor to sleep with my baby as the beds were high and he wriggles…
A cot be provided
Also told the don’t provide cots at all and this would seem the truth as the stairs are dangerous for a pram/child.
But booking.com said that they do provide cots.. but the hotel said they don’t provide them at all, conflicting information and I have the emails stating this..

Location
Many things: party, karaoke, noise, singing, screaming, laughing and shouting
2.0 / 10.0
The room was clean and warm. check in was easy.
Everything else - first off it was not stated that it was a bar with rooms above! Extremely loud music and karaoke until 2AM!! So loud the speaker shaking could be felt throughout our room - absolute joke!
The toilet wasn’t fastened to the floor or the wall properly and every time we sat down it felt like it was going to fall off!!

Good location, clean towels and bedding
Rubbish piled up at entrance, uncomfortable bed, heating unable to be turned off, dirty flooring, bathroom had hole in plaster, smoke alarm covered over,

the location near the pier
shower didn’t warm up and was boltic, bed was uncomfy leading to me and my partner waking up multiple times in the night, windows didn’t open leaving the room stuffy, no staff seen throughout my entire stay,

The Room was large, very clean, i was on the first floor over the music but that didn't bother me as it was expected and I was too tired after a eight journey hour journey. The students had gone home for reading week so not many disturbances at 02.00
The heating could of been put on, it was very cold in the room, the radiators did not work, the duvet was a 7.5 summer tog,had to double it up to get warm. No hair dryer. As in a previous review, the towels were small and very thin. Didn't have Wi Fi, not very much info. on the surrounding ammenties(but that's just me being pickie)

Lovely looking room in a good location.
Very cold room and bathroom ( there wasn't any heating on even though the temperature dropped below 8 degrees at night), we noticed on the last morning the outside window was open ( seemed to be double, double glazed to keep out the noise at the pier is a night club opposite) but it had been extremely windy. The shower was warm but very low pressure.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable

The location was brilliant, central Aberystwyth, a stones throw from the sea. The value was great, not one of the fanciest hotels, but it was great value especially alongside its location.
There was no handle on the inside of the bathroom door, so we always left the door open, this is a problem if one of you gets up in the night to use the bathroom.
If you visit Aberystwyth in term time, expect there to be some noise in the late evening/early morning, as the piper nightclub is also a stones throw away.

Location met our needs
Entrance to the Pier could of been more presentable also toilet needs to be more secure as wobbles when sitting.

The location was good.
The bathrooms were very dated, and in room 2, the room I had the toilet was loose! The shower was quite stained on the tiles. There was also a smell in both room 3 and 2 bathrooms. The stairs to the rooms and the entrance were very tired. I am glad we only stayed 1 night....

Location is good, but you did need to go down a dark alley with rubbish to get to the door with keypad (no light)
Very small room, not really suitable for a father and child with two cases.
One of the mugs was dirty. Tired - taps dripping etc. Hall way was dirty.

Lack of information at the point of booking and, more worryingly, on check in which resulted, on arrival by being met with multiple flights of stairs which, as a disabled man with mobility issues was less than ideal and, in the morning, resulted in me foregoing a shower and having a stand-up wash in the sink because the button on the electric shower unit being jammed in and therefore the shower not working only to discover, on leaving the bathroom, that the second unidentified pull cord, when pulled, activated the shower. Shocking paucity of information.

The room was on the top floor and my husband is in a wheelchair chair . It was so unsuitable and staff were unhelpful. We spoke to the manager on the phone and asked for our money back. He said we must ask booking dot com for a refund. We rang them and they said they needed to talk to the hotel. In the meantime we found another hotel suitable for my husband. No one has come back to us and we received no refund, we feel cheated and will not use this service again
See above totally unsuitable and no refund given

Location. Room decor. Quiet.
A bit odd that there was no reception and it was simply a passcode and key to enter and exit, but got used to it!

Great location. Super comfortable bed . We liked the reclaimed wood furniture. We asked for a room out of the way due to our dog. We had a quiet night, good night sleep without the dog barking! Fridge in room and nice big tv.
Bathroom could do with a bit of attention. Toilet was wobbly and tiles grouting a bit old. Doors were heavy. Could also do with USB points.

Good price and clean room with comfortable bed. Bathroom with shower was fine and clean. Located close to seafront and pier. Only 10 to 15 minute walk to railway station.. The street is fairly busy during day with local shops and restaurants so plenty around.
Our stay was quiet during early evening but I think this was unusual and due to the timing of our stay. At the front there is a fried chicken restaurant opposite, currently closed until Sept and a bar on ground floor of Pier Hotel so there is usually more nightlife. Plus students are on break until Sept. Front bedrooms are overlooked at front but there are curtains.

Lovely bright, clean and comfortable room with quality window dressings and bedding. Quirky furnishing items, chosen with thought and the bonus of restful easy chairs for relaxing.
Nothing, except for the view from the windows, which is beyond the control of the hotel proprietors! There are a great number of empty and neglected buildings which are detrimental to the appearance of the area around the pier.

The room was clean and beautiful!
Really big comfy beds great value for money
There wasn’t any staff to greet us however we didn’t mind this at all, the keys were left in an easy place and we were given numbers to ring if we needed anything.
Only thing is the room was extremely hot being summer time with big windows a fan in the room would have been perfect as it didn’t have much air flow

Very close to the Prom and local facilities.
There was no hot water for our entire stay. Very poor shower, it just dribbles, and temperature fluctuates.
Strong smell of drains in the bathroom.
Spoke to a representative of the building, and she just said they hadn't had hot water for a while, and there was nothing she could do.
The beds were homemade from solid wood. Very creaky. Mattresses were very worn and lumpy
