There was tea and coffee on offer. The bathroom was large and pleasant and the shower was good. My room was quiet. It was a convenient walk to other parts of the town centre. There was a hairdryer
The mattress was too firm for my liking. The chair was very uncomfortable. The sound on the TV was very poor quality. I had to turn on the subtitles to understand what people were saying. I did not have breakfast because the price was astronomical.

Ideal situation on seafront with off road parking 5 minutes walk away. We ate at the Glengower, a lovely large pub, just a short walk along the seafront. We had not booked breakfast in advance but were able to have continental breakfast - just £6 per person. Room was spacious and a very large bathroom with good shower.

The Helmsman was a lovely place to stay and the location on the seafront was perfect. The room was nice and reasonably priced. We particularly liked the bathroom and the nice big shower. The breakfast was tasty and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

Bathroom was tiny shower tray filled to the top while showering,WiFi didn't work it said to scan a barcode on the bedroom door did that but still needed a password there wasn't one anywhere in the room tried to contact them using the downstairs bell on a few occasions nobody answered not good .TV didn't work it just had a fuzzy picture on all channels
