Beach view was great. Room was good. Beds comfortable. Water did go cold in the shower after around 5 minutes. Also drained very slowly. Cracks on the walls that could do with being filled with a bit of paint. Otherwise it was great. We would come again despite these issues.

The beach front rooms had a very nice view. It was safe to walk on the boardwalk late night.

Lovely spot with sea veiw. Room very clean. Very dated holes in bathroom door covered by a sticker.. frayed carpets Staff barely spoke. Stairs need reparing overall in need of TLC. But beautiful spot overlooking sea..

Easy check-in, comfortable and quiet room with tv and fast wifi.

Excellent staff. The room could do with updating and the stairs must be taken into account(3 flights). But OK for an overnight stay

Great view. But not a nice place to stay.. very small room, poorly equipped. No air conditioning .. so when it’s sunny then you can’t stay in the room because of heat. The shower stopped working in the night. There is no one at the reception after 9:00. They did not have enough towels. So I was given one face towel instead of a bath towel.

The room overlooked the bay as described when booking room. The room was clean, but bed was a bit hard and uncomfortable for me. There was a TV but there was no signal to receive any channels.

In a very poor state of repair carpets threadbare and stained, walls marked and paint peeing off. Table and chairs unstable windows very draughty. Bathroom very dated and although superficially clean toilet bowl was very marked and sealant peeling from around shower that dribbled out.

Dear Expedia Customer Service, ​I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Cardigan Bay Guest House in Aberystwyth, which I booked through your platform. ​The accommodation failed to meet the standards advertised on your website and resulted in a very unpleasant experience. The key issues I encountered are as follows: ​Faulty Window: The window in my roomdid not open or close properly. This was a significant issue for ventilation and general comfort. ​Inaccurate Room Description: The room I was given did not match the description provided on your website. The room was advertised as having a sea view, but most of the view consisted of rocks. Our "superior" twin room consisted of 2 single beds and haedly any room. ​Non-functional Heating: The heating in the room was not working throughout my stay. This made the room uncomfortably cold, especially during the evenings and at night. We requested a heater which was also faulty (missing a leg) and did not procide sufficient heat throughout the night. ​Uncomfortable Beds: The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, which made it very difficult to get a good night's sleep. The quality of the mattresses was poor and did not provide adequate support. ​These issues directly impacted my stay and significantly detracted from the experience I paid for. I would like to request a full refund for this booking as it has spoiled mine and my sisters holiday.

Clean enogh but very run down and dated. Room was very hot and patches of paint has peeled off the wall.Convenient on the prom.

Such a friendly staff. Small white room but we expected that, comfy bed, broken chair. View over sea fab, but windows suffer condensation and only one opened, so very hot. Key to door jammed locking us in but staff so helpful . Needs a new lock. Would we stay there again? yes we would, outdoor bar, coffee and cake excellent and happy hour. A quirky place with a small quirky cafe attached. We had a lovely time.

Stay was good, weather great, bed and room comfortable, Christian conference brilliant and inspiring. Great seafront location, friendly staff. Could consider staying there again. Last night of stay I was disturbed by other guests talking till 3:45 am, not your fault. Finding places to park for free was difficult sometimes, but there always was a space.

Enjoyed a 2 night break at this guest house. Very reasonable price for a double ensuite room with sea view. Will definitely return. A very pleasant stay.

Great situation, one young lady very pleasant and helpful. Was right up top with no view. 78 years old and had to take my luggage up all the stairs. Bed and pillows not great, otherwise clean.

Was tempted to go 5*, but just a tiny bit of modernization could be done with, like a bit of paint on the room, however the guys downstairs were great, amazing view (room 6 i stayed with daughter), if had the option I'd go maybe 4.7/5, so much going for the place, just a few minor touches could make it from great to brilliant I guess.

The location is ok. The hotel is very tired and in need of some TLC and staff have no idea what is going on. Carpets and decor definitely not as shown in photos! Sea front rooms have no view as windows completely fogged up and the windows don't work. Carpets and decor are old and stained but the linen was clean. You will need binoculars to watch TV from the bed.

The view is absolutely beautiful. The overall hygiene was ok, with a small bit of stain on the sheet remaining. However, there was one used instant coffee packaging left, probably due to carelessness of cleaning staff. The worst issue was that the shower was completely not working but the hotel gave us this room knowing that there was a electrical failure for the shower. Although the staff was really polite when we raised this issue in the morning, it does not erase the disappointment at night. The toilet also did not work properly, the flush was extremely weak. There was no way of contacting the hotel at night to sort out the shower issue and the reception runs from 3pm to 6pm instead of 8pm as stated here. Would recommend if those management issues were fixed.

The cost was very reasonable. I’m hoping my feedback will be received in the good spirit it comes from. Location was fantastic with sea views. Staff friendly and welcoming. The interior was tired. The bed bases were frayed and carpets coming away from the grippers. The bathroom was clean. The bedding was clean but the bed was leaning downhill. The bedside lampshade was stained. This accommodation was very reasonably priced but I would have been disappointed had I paid more money.

The worst hotel we have ever stayed in . So unclean , tired and should be advertised as a hostel . I booked this as a surprise for my partner and was so disappointed when we pulled up outside . You get what you pay for here for sure . I even had a pint of cider served in a cardboard coffee cup . No storage for your clothes either . I have learnt from this , will never book three star again .

Lots of little things not working such as shower too hot, plugs not working. Dated rooms. Requested bay window but didn't get, no table and chairs as shown in photos and sounded like a nightclub at 3am with the amount of noise. On the positive side quiet clean, a good price and great position.

Location was great, the property is in need of a major remodel. Worked okay for our one night stay.

I asked about a shower curtain twice, as l didn't have one. The shower head was so high up l couldn't reach it. There is no house keeping, room was not checked at all
