Cardigan Bay Guest House

I really enjoyed my stay here. You get what you pay for so don't expect the ritz! But the single room was good and I was glad to have my own toilet and sink. I had a view over the town and hill sides which was nice. It was great to have a kitchen to use, it saved me money on meals out and the really liked the cozy feel of the sitting area and the café. Location is fabulous. You are away from the fray but right on the sea front. And even though I didn't have a seafront room I could still sit in the living room area and watch the sunset from there. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Yes there was noise but its an old victorian guest house so to be expected. There are signs around asking for people to consider noise levels and people during my stay were quiet and respectful after 10pm. Maybe bring earplugs if sounds like snoring really annoy you. The only thing that needs sorting perhaps is that the fire door on the top floor bangs as it closes and shook the wall next to my bed which was a bit annoying if new guests didnt realise and were moving about in the middle of the night.

It was exactly what it advertised. Cheap place to stay on the sea front. Away from the bars but within walking distance to them. Comfy enough for our needs

Personal preference. The ensuite to one of the bedrooms was carpeted. No my ideal floor for a bathroom. Carpets soak up toilet mess no matter how much you clean over time, its not good. Like i said personal preference.

Shower water pressure was difficult to control and bathroom floor got a bit wet.

There was no breakfast other than the cafe that was closed when I woke up. I had to be at my daughters graduation at 9.30am, I would have thought i could have breakfast at 7am so I could have time to get washed, changed, and packed ready for the graduation.

No breakfast, and the shower rooms / toilets weren't very nice, they reminded me of a campsite bathroom.
