For its price point it’s worth the money just for the location!

The location is incredible, we had a sea view room and watching the sunset was amazing. Room was small but had everything needed. The staff were very friendly.

Accepting the building is old the hotel made the best of what it was. The room was tidy although if you looked you could see it was decorated either in a hurry or not checked. One of the walls had clearly missed paint patches and the bathroom, whilst clean and tidy had an unsealed floor but none of the ruined the stay.

Once was a beautiful building. Sadly needs updating. Our room was supposed to be a deluxe room. But it was small. Very large bath to big for bathroom. Shower of the bath. Lovely shower. No slip mat for bathroom. The staff were lovely very helpful. Clearly not enough of them on a busy Friday night. Run off their feet. Lovely see view. The staff worked extremely hard.

Almost everything, the room was really dirty no rover in the corners, the duvet was dirty, the bathroom stink smells really but so all room was stinky even with open windows... really unpleasant

Nice stay on the promenade -amazing location

This is a really well situated hotel right on the sea front and one that accomodates dogs too. It was perfect for us for a flying visit to meet family and has a lovely prom diner right outside.

We weren't in the main hotel but that was fine for us we just needed somewhere clean and safe to sleep. It was cheaper than most other places as it was high summer /bank holiday though still not that cheap.

Rooms need upgrading

Location as it is right on the front and they had an overflow car park Bar in the hotel

We were in a separate part of the building from the reception and dinner/bar. The room had stains on the carpets in multiple areas, the window was broken so unable to stay open and the bed mattress lumpy and uncomfortable. The shower had limited hot water or no pressure. The rooms need upgrading and the pictures are not what you get. The kettle was dirty and unusable despite us trying to clean it. There was also a mix up on the rooms. One of us arriving a day earlier and on check in was asked to pay despite alresdy paying on booking, this was eventually sorted with the manager. On the following day asked for a spearate key to the room as signal meant unable to contact friend, only to be given a completely separate room, we planned to return the key to the additional room on the way back from food (we had a booking and again we were not in main hotel). Reception left a note in he used room to call then an older lady confirmed she would pick up the key and let herself into our room while we were in there (reception had just spoken to us and we confirmed we were in the room). Then tried to question who the person on reception was who gave me the key and why we hadnt thought about coming together on the same night, they made the error and we were given the wrong room.

Typical British Hotel

H.Very nice, kind and helpful staff. Young lady did her best to make us happy. She had shown us how to get into rooms, shown the rooms, explained what is where, etc.

Rooms need refurbishment. Mold is covered with paint and wallpaper. Wallpaper does not hold. Mold in the corners, in both bathrooms too. Sofa bed badly uncomfortable, even forbtslim teenager. Paid extra for matching rooms, got bigger room on different level instead.

Lovely Place

We were right on the beach, our view was of the parking lot. The room was large and clean. We had a great visit while we were there. We did not get a chance to utilize any of the facilities. The bed was very comfortable and it came with multiple fans which was a huge plus.

I did not like our view. We had a hard time finding an open restaurant.

Room small for cost, but view makes it just about worth it. Jacuzzi doesn’t work, but we’ve stayed here many times, none of the Jacuzzis have ever worked.

Nothing,, the staff were ignorant, the facilities were non existent, it was supposed to be a spa hotel but the spa was not working, when an evening meal was booked by me for the evening, we turned up for meal and the restaurant was closed,, with no time to go for alterative meal, had to go without food,, and when I put in a complaint to reception was told manager would speak to me to try and sort out issues, but I am still waiting,

A really great stay on Aberystwyth sea front.

The hotel is situated on the front so it's in a great location. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. WE got a superior room and it was bit quirky but everything worked and we slept well. WE had a a bar snack in the evening which was nice and the breakfast was good. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

We booked the hotel on the basis it had a car park but when we arrived, it was full, I did manage to park in the end but I would say to other guests to arrive early to get a space.

Lovely but frustrating

Location and nice room

Was good but had no warning there was a cycling event on when booking - we got told there was access by hotel staff and we could get out any time we wanted on Sunday - we tried to leave at 4 and then got told had to stay there till 7 o clock till the road was open. Was frustrating as had a 2 hour drive home and didn’t get back till 9 o clock which put a sour taste on what was a lovely weekend. Would love to come back on a different weekend with no events and enjoy it, just got let down by miss communication from staff at the hotel

The staff were very welcoming, the room with the sea veiw was absolutely lovely. The breakfast and evening meal was delicious. 🙂

Great hotel, great location

Very clean, comfortable big room with a king size very nice and comfortable bed. Great sea view. Very good breakfast. Really nice decor.

Outside door to No 27 was so hard it was impossible to open and when we first arrived, we cdnt get in and again in the following days it happened. Needs sorting! Luckily backdoor was opened but when you first arrived with all your luggage at a hotel, you expect to be able to get inside!

The atmosphere, the location and the people made this excellent for me.

Dinner: Could have done with better range of condiments to suit more spicey tastes e.g. hot pepper or chilli sauce, chutneys etc; Breakfast: Would have liked wider range of fresh fruit/fruit salad, greek or natural yoghourt. Choice of scrambled egg as standard and cold options e.g. hard boiled eggs and cheeses. A toast-making machine for customers to serve themselves would be a plus and choice of breads.

No soap or hand wash in the rooms, no shower gel or shampoo in the shower. Never stayed at a hotel that didn’t supply hand soap. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone
