Lovely location with convenient parking. Super reception from staff. Great view over seafront from second floor room.

No lift - lots of stairs although we were offered help with luggage. A little noise from windows. Cooked breakfast adequate only.

Great location, superb customer service , clean but in need of modernising.

The view from the room was stunning. Every single member of staff was a credit to the owners of the hotel, faultless customer service. Very impressed to receive a phone call prior to our arrival checking that the room allocated would be suitable for my husband who has mobility issues.

While clean the rooms are somewhat in need of an update. Efforts had been made to inject some colour but the lack of attention to decor, no pictures or wall art was disappointing for the price. Wear on the bedside tables with the veneer lifting off, taps that worked but obviously well used and wobbly, small things that make a difference.

A most enjoyable stop over , we will return in the future for a longer stay.

We chose the Richmond Hotel as it was a half way stop on our journey to meet up with family .The location was an excellent beach front location , our room had a lovely sea view with comfy chairs to sit and enjoy the views and the sound of the waves crashing onto the beach. The staff were most accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and substantial , I can’t speak for the evening meal as we didn’t eat there but the menu choice was displayed and looked excellent. Would we return ? Yes without a doubt ,Would we recommend to friends and family ? Absolutely !

A very comfortable stay in a sea front hotel. Highly recommended.

Staff, hotel location, cleanliness, free parking, bar, restaurant, the fact that the hotel was lovely and warm on a cold autumn night.

The cooked breakfasts were great, but the tea, coffee, milk and toast provided were a bit stingy, we’d have liked top ups and refills. I’m sure they would have been willingly given if we’d asked for them, but it would have been nicer to have been given bigger pots , or offered refills rather than having to ask.

Great location on the seafront but get there early if you need to park your car.

The location was very good.

The carpark is small for the number of rooms and difficult to get a space. There is a small garden space which they could use to add more spaces. The walls are also very thin and I could hear the conversation from the room nextdoor.

It was all good. The room was nicely spacious. WE didn't expect a good view (not a sea-view room) but the window was a good size and gave good natural light. Great to have two tables/desks and several armchairs for reading/working/chatting. Having the iplayer option available on the television was appreciated. Brilliant breakfast, choices for all tastes.

Nothing really although the bathroom catered more for people who always shower rather than those who choose to use the washbasin.

Relaxing and very enjoyable.

Breakfast was excellent. Lots of options with cooked menu, cereals, fruit, fruit juice, all served with a happy smile. When enquiring about area eg. restaurants we where given a little map, which was very helpful. Also given help how to get to Rhiedol steam train station. Nothing was too much. Bedroom and bed very comfortable.

Surprisingly good hotel…very comfortable and kindly staff

Despite all the steps up various staircases, we found the hotel far, far better than we expected. The room had a fantastic view out to sea without obstruction. We were able to view the complete sunsetting from a comfortable chair. Wow! And the hotel ensured we had a shower. We had a good healthy breakfast including a very good cooked plateful as well as the full selection of fruit and cereal!…Thanks Richmond!

Our room was great as it was on the ground floor with a sea view! Also, a member of staff was incredibly helpful when we had problems initially parking the car.

It didn't apply to us as everything was fabulous. However, the hotel may be a problem for older people or for those with limited disability as it's on 3 floors, with breakfast in the basement, and no lift.
