Very clean and comfortable, excellent breakfast menu and it was nice having a bar on the premises.

The 1st thing I look for in a room is cleanliness this was very good. We were greeted well at the start of the stay and the lady on reception looked after us all the way through (nothing was too much trouble for her, in fact she seemed to be doing all of the jobs all of the time an asset to you.)

The only thing that I thought could be improved was the rooms decoration and when it was windy the windows whistled other than those minor things everything was good

The bar was decent as it was a Saturday night and busy…apart from that I wouldn’t stay again.

Food in the bar was excellent.

Very dated. Hole in the ceiling. No hot water for entirety of stay so could not have a shower( no apology from staff).

Great stay in central Aberystwyth.

The location was a good one and the person who greeted us was very helpful; we were given a free upgrade. This hotel has original features and classic furniture rather than modern.

The furniture and decor is a little tired and old.

Thoroughly recommend Harry's Hotel as a great place to stay!

Very helpful and friendly staff, delicious restaurant food, great selection and exceptionally good value. Room was lovely, shower very clean and hot. Towels and sheets all very clean and tea/coffee making even included oat milk. Building was in a street full of character and the building itself had many lovely character features.

Our room faced the front and we could hear some people talking as they passed by on occasion late at night. Suggest if you have a front facing room, make sure the sash window is shut before you go to sleep, my oversight.

Convenient stay in a clean pleasant room.

Location and value. My room had been decorated pleasantly and was very clean.

Reception was in the bar which was very busy as there was a football match on the large tv’s. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable.

Excellent location and helpful staff

We were in room 8 and we had persistent recurring plumbing noises throughout the night. When we first arrived the Yale lock for our room jammed and we had to call a member of staff to recover us (if you turned the key the wrong way when removing the key it jammed the lock when the door closed)

Exceeded expectations

Very close to the station,and seafront. Beds were very comfortable,. Staff were helpful and very friendly .breakfast was lovely

The windows definitely made you do a work out when opening and closing. The stairs were a bit of an issue with suitcases ,but staff helped me to carry them to the room and down again

Not a very good supper, tiny bar b que ribs and a thoroughly nasty microwaved vegetarian pasta dish ……….although an excellent breakfast the next morning.

In the round our stay at the hotel was ok for the price in this town on that week.

Good welcome and bags taken to the room which was just as well at our age as it was a long walk up stairs and along a corridor that went up and down steps. Car parking on site. We were lucky to get a space. Good location.

Furniture was very tired but still just ok. Bathroom fittings needed some urgent TLC and a bathroom refurbishment. Plumbing in the room next door made loud noises. The room needed thicker curtains to keep out early morning sun.

We had everything we needed. Staff were super attentive, food was fantastic and location ideal.

Location was excellent for both the station, shops and beachfront. We arrived late and so ate in the bar and the food was superb, as was the breakfast in the morning. Room was basic but clean and had all we needed. Really friendly staff and check-in and checkout were so simple. I would happily stay there again as it was perfect for our needs.

For what we paid, I have no complaints at all.

Harry's Hotel is very conveniently located near shops, cafes, the beach, bars etc. The room was spacious, very comfortable and clean. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, a great way to start the stay. We enjoyed having the bar just downstairs. We were warned things could get noisey on a Fri/Sat night but it didn't bother us.

This seemed more like a £70 room, it needs money spent on it to make it a £107 room

The staff were helpful and promptly replied to our request. Food and drink in the bar were good quality and reasonably priced. Good location for town centre

The room was desperately in need of refurbishment. Some areas were dirty (windows and corners in bathroom particularly. Curtain linings were discoloured torn and missing in parts. Beds were uncomfortable with springs evident to the touch. Chipboard under mattress. Fitments in bathroom rusty, tap missing cap, badly repaired shower tray.

Fun and friendly hotel in a good location.

Great location in town and just a short walk to the seafront. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the place was generally clean. Downstairs is big bar area with plenty of sports on TV and music, plus a big restaurant area and it was always pretty busy. If you timed it right there was some free parking around the back but you can park for free on the street although it's a 1 hour limit before 6pm.

If you were on the first floor and wanted an early night you might be bothered about the music and noise from the bar but they don't seem to stay open late.

Fine for an overnight

Location is great. Staff are lovely - if a little overworked/understaffed. Place is spotless. Dinner in the restaurant was nice. Breakfast good value. Shower was lovely.

Single room in the attic has a very uncomfortable lumpy bed. You also have to climb over it to get to the window to close blinds/window.

The location was perfect, very short walk to the sea front and town. Clean, comfortable, and quiet room. Resturants close by. I must say that the breakfast was outstanding and freshly cooked for every guest. Plenty of it, along with juice, tea coffee, cereals, yoguts, etc. Would stay here again. a great bar, to enjoy.

The position of the property was good with parking. Restaurant and bar was fine. I had a few issues at this property as described in the negatives. The massive plus point was a wonderful lass Called Roxy ROXANA. She was absolutely magnificent. She dealt very well with the issues i had. If I owned this hotel I would be giving her the manageress position. She was Five Star

On arrival I was allocated room 9. Room was fine but the door lock was broken so after a shower I popped to report the issue. I was told by a male receptionist to leave room key with them and they would try to repair. I explained I was at a function and may be late back. Arriving back 12.45am approx I had to ring a mobile number to get in. This is where I was greeted by the manager or owner who was rude when I callled but then turned up 10 mins later to let me in. He continued to be rude and wasn’t prepared to listen to my explanation. He proceeded to be verbally abusive and threatening. He was rude and aggressive to a point where I was wondering whether to stay there or not. The following morning with a room still unable to lock I was greeted at breakfast by Roxy. I need say no more.she appeased the situation and fortunately I never saw the aggressive owner or manager again. The room was not lockable all weekend.

Last minute panic booking

Being able to book at such short notice was wonderful and made a very stressful situation much more manageable. The room was cosy and clean which was just what I wanted.

I was unable to find the car park so ended up having to park elsewhere and walk. As it was a beautiful warm night, it didn't matter, but would have been different if it had been raining. Maybe a map or written directions could be issued with the room key e.g. pictures of the carpark on the website would also help to show what to look for. I was struggling to charge my phone, so some USB adapters / sockets in the room would have been helpful but appreciate both if these issues were my fault rather than that of the hotel.

A clean, friendly hotel in a great location.

The staff were friendly and provided good, efficient service,. The cooked breakfast was freshly prepared and was very tasty. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to shops, pubs and the promenade. Free parking at the rear of the hotel was a bonus.

The free Wi-Fi worked downstairs in the public areas, but there was no signal in my single room on the 2nd floor. Also the tv kept losing its signal, so the picture would freeze for a while. Fortunately I wasn't in my room that much, other than for sleeping, so this wasn't a big problem. The fire alarm went off at exactly the same time on two consecutive nights. Not sure whether this is a regular issue.
