Very friendly staff and good pillows, comfy bed, good WiFi, guest house
It was generally all good - it’s a budget option but I did find out that one of the larger hotels on the sea front were offing a winter deal which would have been the same price in a full hotel.. it’s not a purpose built hotel which means sound insulation isn’t the best, one night was woken by upstairs clients coming in at 3.30am and could here them walking across the floor etc getting ready for bed.. I think a lot of properties are like this in Aber though so just bring ear plugs..

Central location & the price which was very economical.
Room needed attention.& some maintenance. 2 shelves very loose one virtually hanging off wall and no towels provided in room . There were two ordinary towels in bathroom but that was Communal & no bath towel available. Neither Bed light nor & light above sink were working.
Had stayed in different room at same guest house in previous month & no problem. So disappointing this time.

Very Good Central location & very reasonable price.
Pleasant room at front a little small but comfortable bed & facilities.
Room a little small but otherwise good value for money.

Louise's husband was very kind and calming when I couldn't find my bank card in the dazzling taxi led lights with my cataracts to pay the taxi. He came over and paid it for me and I paid him back later. (£5 added to the £20 to change to a twin) My daughter liked the Aero mint hot chocolate Louise had kindly left for guests though I dread to think what it had in it as Nestle is a bad make. (This review is of the twin room in Maes y mor which she changed us to over the phone when I asked for twin from a single I'd paid for opposite the library).
Filthy old armchair in room right up against my bed which even a charity shop wouldn't sell - with stains on arms and on seat. Pillowcases looked used not washed , quilt was very thin and old looking. There were no spare blankets but a kind guest next door gave us some from her room which felt stiff with dust. We had to take the oil filled radiator from the landing to keep the room warm along with the one in room they had provided .There was dust round edges of room. My daughter s bed was all torn along bottom edge- bits of material fallen off edge of her divan. The kitchen was freezing cold evening and morning , the socket didn't work by my bed so we had to use a torch to see in the night. I think the damp had mad e the socket not work .The owner's husband was very kind but his wife keep messaging me saying I hadn't paid the extra £25 when I had paid he r a whole week ago to have a twin room for me a n d my daughter instead of a single room.. She keeps hassling me with messages saying to pay her the extra £25 I owed when I paid it by PayPal 7 day s ago and it left my bank 3 days after PayPal paid her .I keep sending her cut and pasted screen shots showing I paid it 7 days ago last Sunday the day I checked out - paid by PayPal and it left my account 3 days after PayPal paid her and she keeps sending more messages saying she hasn't had it yet making me really anxious .The armchair looked worse than in the photos my daughter took which haven't come out very well. My camera needed charging so my daughter took some with her phone which I didn't see till the next day after we left .I had to put a plastic bags over the arms to stop my clothes touching the arms as there was no room to move it out of the way. The stair carpets were very grubby too and I was woken up twice in night by drunk people shouting loudly outside..

Stayed for a couple of nights and guesthouse was lovely and comfortable, somewhere to stay while to explore the town of Aberystwyth and bathroom/shower was easy accessible and bed was comfortable for the 3 nights.

As with previous reviews of this accommodation - very spacious single room, super comfy bed, and all the usual facilities. By far the best value for money accommodation in the Aberystwyth, only 5 mins walk from the sea/town centre
Somewhat noisy early rising fellow guests
Kettle in room needs replacing...

Location of property was perfect. Host was very friendly and helpful.
Warm room.
Advertised as en-suite, which I guess it could be considered as that, but not set out well..
The toilet and shower were on each side of the main door as you walk in.
No separate door into room , which would be very awkward for guests if staying with a friend as no privacy.
Small double room was just serviceable.
The worst parts were a security light outside coming on and off all night. No curtain in toilet so couldn't switch light on in the dark.
Also very disrespectful guests above with regards to noise levels in the early hours.

Bed comfortable. Room faced east, so was really cool in the evenings during the recent heatwave. Hot in the mornings. Easy reach to the beach. Parking nearby in paid car park or on North Street.
There was only 1 shower in the house of 7 rooms. There was a bathroom. Please would you put a shower in the bathroom as well. The hand basins had no soap. Had to ask. The blue hand towel didn't dry anything. A bath sheet would be better than a bath towel for the women guests. Could you put a fridge in the rooms?

Nice bed and clean all around the place. Toilets and showers were nice and clean and the owner would come and see if you needed anything every day. Good value for the price.
The wifi didnt quite reach all around the house and id sometime loose connection in my room but thats the only problem i had. But when i did loose connection i had a decent signal so had no problem using my data.

By far the nicest room I've stayed in whenever I've used this accommodation. Super comfy bed, very spacious single room with the usual storage, TV and drink making facilities.
Highly recommended for price ( cheapest accommodation on here) and for town/seafront access. A winner everytime for the owner Louise.
Bedroom door hitting the radiator everytime you open/close the door.

The room is cozy and clean, with a strategic location, close to the station and the promenade , very convenient to get around. The bed and bathroom are also comfortable. Thanks! 👍🏻

Self check in was OK on phone but didn't see staff at all.
I was in another house not the main house but the location was good.
Toilet and bathroom were not very clean
Cover on bed, very old and yellowing
House open during day so only room had lock and the lock didnt feel very secure

The single room was perfectly adequate for my needs. Bed was comfortable and everything was clean.
It wasn’t too much of a problem for me, but be aware that you can hear noise from other rooms, doors closing, etc.

Neat and tidy interior. Tasteful neutral interior decoration. Shared bathroom - tidy and pleasant.
Good location. 10 mins walk from station. 5 from sea.
Very good value for money.
Be prepared to use mobile phone to talk to or text staff. Not always in office on site. Walls are thin and self-closing doors loud, Even if you try to close them quietly. I recommend earplugs for light sleepers. My small room could have benefited from having a simple folding chair in it. No breakfast, but that was not a problem.

The location.
Parking was a nightmare the rooms are a little rundown could do with new bedding and towels but OK for one night.

First of all it was very clean . The property was near everything you wanted, easy to find parking which there was plenty of . Would definitely stay there again and will recommend to family and friends to book whenever they are in the area.
Absolutely nothing I didn’t like.

Bed was surprisingly comfy, good mattress with two pillows by default and a quilted blanket on top of the blanket given
Rooms were not soundproof at all, got woken up by someone yelling in the middle of the night

I wanted a simple clean room in a central location and got it. Breakfast?! Thank you
I had great difficulty opening and closig my room door on the first night ( a fire emergency would have been dodgy!) but I did pint the problem out and it was eased for the second night (door closer un screwed, but your fire safety compliance now compromised)

The hotel location is very central.
The guest house is split between several properties, each a few seconds away from each other. My room was in a building on a parallel street around the corner from the promenade and a walk away from the station, shops, pubs and the main shopping street

Location was fantastic. Bed was pretty comfortable and room was a decent size.
Cleanliness questionable and noise from other guest apparent mostly with slamming doors.

We didn’t like it at all , no where local to park your car to carry your belongings in or close enough to watch your parked car or hear its alarm should it go off
Despite knowing what time we would arrive no member of staff to great us, we were met by another guest who did not have his dogs under controll. Who spoke very rudely to me. Not knowing it wasn’t the owner we decided to find somewhere else to stay. After explaining everything to the owner he would not refund any money. Money seems to be more important than guests.

Great for the price! The room was clean, basic essentials were provided and the location was great.

Very good location right around the corner from the beach which is a about a minute walk from the guest house gates. There is also a cinema about 30 seconds away! Louise, the guest house owner, was very helpful and polite and made sure I got to my room ok. The room itself was good the bed comfy and had TV and kettle facilities. Excellent value for money.
I thought a shower would have been in the shared bathroom because being a man I love a good shower and it's much quicker than a bath! But sadly there is only a bath, toilet and sink.
