sea view was excellent and the room was spacious clean and well presented , the breakfast was also excellent with plenty of choice to suit all tastes

would of liked there to be an area sectioned off for residents who were wanting to carry on finishing drinks and chatting after the bar was closed up at 11 , told we were welcome to take drinks to our rooms but would ofliked to carry on sitting in a lounge downstairs

A lovely overnight stay on our way to Llangrannog to stay with friends; Excellent!!!

The welcome was really great, check-in was easy too. The room was very nice, comfy and clean, good bathroom too. We were planning to eat out but soon decided that the restaurant at the hotel was really appealing so we stayed for dinner and went for a walk afterwards.

Can't think of a single thing. This place obviously attracts a similar thinking people to us and we will definitely stay here anytime we're in Aber again.

Great stay. Staff is terrific. Free upgrade to a sea view. Amazing listening to the waves crashing all night. Great restaurant for dinner and the free breakfast was first class.

Beautiful sea front Guest House

Room was spotless as was shower etc. Breakfast was beautiful and presented with a smile. Well done all involved. Real bonus was being able to park on the sea front as the Glengower is further up the promenade than other hotels.

I think that Aberystwyth town council should deploy one of it's trucks to sweep up the gravel on the prom,(washed up by winter storms) It makes it uncomfortable to walk on and detracts from the overall beauty of the sea front. Come on Aberystwyth; look after your little gem. For comparison visit any sea front on the Med or Canary Islands and you'll find that that happens at dawn every morning, and the beach is swept clean too.

Fantastic location, luxurious snug rooms with amazing views at the front.

As always.... stunning and wonderful. Love this hotel, stay here whenever I can. Good value for the amazing location (now with added snow...) the friendly welcome, fabulous breakfast and everything.

Staff excellent, room poor value at £150 a night.

All staff were exceptional. Hard working, friendly and keen to please. Pub and food were excellent and very good location.

Bedroom and bathroom were basic and dated. Sanitary ware and fittings of the most basic quality and similar in the bedroom. Bed was a basic double and even then too close to the wall on one side making it difficult to navigate around the basic hanging arrangement on the wall. TV wasn’t working when we arrived but staff prioritised replacing it the next morning. I would expect much more given a cost of £150 a night.

Overall, it served our needs for 2 nights.

Good location. Nice restaurant. The staff were friendly and efficient, particularly, the breakfast staff. Breakfast was very good. The room was very clean. Great sea view.

As other reviewers have stated, the beds were hard and uncomfortable, which made for a fitful night’s sleep. Restaurant food was mediocre and overpriced. The condensation on the windows each morning was so bad, we couldn’t see outside.

A good choice and would be happy to stay again.

Breakfast was well cooked and the ingredients e.g. the sausage and bacon, were superior quality. There was not a large choice but the service was prompt and friendly. Our room was lovely with comfortable chairs to enjoy the sea view. (Worth the bit extra payment) Staff helpful and informative.

As others have said they could do with a lift. Hauling luggage up to the second or third floor was an effort. Help was offered but perhaps should be given as a matter of course?

3 day getaway

Absolutely everything stayed there a few times, always have an outstanding stay and we love Emily ❤️. All staff super friendly and so helpful we never want to leave.

Inconsiderate neighbours in the room opposite us. Noisy arriving into their room at 12.30am to show off their room to friends and noisy when leaving at 1.20am.

The bathroom stunk of drains. Grim view at the rear of the property. Stung for an extra 27 quid upon arrival because I’d accidentally booked as one person and not two, for a room with two single beds. Zero flexibility from the hotel in this matter.

Comfortable and pleasant

Convenient, clean and very pleasant. Everything very clean and excellent food.

Didn’t notice a lift, but there might’ve been one. That would be useful but not all places can fit them in. We walked in when they rang the bell for last orders (we thought)but were refused to be served even though we were residents. That seemed strange as most places will serve you if you’re staying. We were late back from our venue we’d been to, waiting taxis. We only wanted one drink but they said no, the bell was for shutting the bar. Just a small annoyance on and otherwise perfect stay.

All the staff were so pleasant and couldn't do enough to ensure that we had all we needed for a lovely stay. Rooms were decorated nicely and comfortable, plenty of hot water and good wifi. Evening meal and breakfast were good quality and plentiful. Would stay again

The breakfasts were huge - but when we ordered just tomato and bacon, we were given one piece of bacon and half a tomato. This seemed odd/somewhat mean. A small point, but perhaps the kitchen could deal better with guests who ask for just two items from the full English/Welsh
