The staff were friendly and helpful. Even with a slightly later arrival time than planned, there was flexibility. She shared a great local hiking recommendation. It was helpful that the cash deposit fee was waived completely.
Provision of shower towels would have been a nice thing to include.

Le salon / salle à manger est plutôt spacieux et confortable avec une vue sur le lac.
La cuisine était plutôt bien équipée.
Les environs étaient calmes.
Le fait que la salle de bain soit privée.
Arrivée flexible.
La chambre était un peu petite pour stocker toutes nos affaires.

This hostel doesn't really feel like a hostel, it's more like a shared house with bunk beds in the bedrooms. There are three bedrooms and two small bathrooms, a large dining table and a small sitting area.
What I liked about this place is that the kitchen has plenty of workspace, two cooking tops, plenty of fridge space. There's easily accessible free WiFi.
The hostel is right beside the train station, and walking distance from the bus stop. Very convenient if you don't have a car. If you have a car: there's also plenty free parking space!
I was rather disappointed about the space in the bedroom, in our room (no. 2) there are two bunk beds and just enough space for our luggage (relatively small bags), but we could barely walk past each other. One of the bunk beds was very wobbly and creaky, I was glad a grown up didn't have to go up there, it doesn't feel safe..
The shower doesn't really look clean, the edges have mold on them. There once was a mirror, evident by the change in paint color on the wall, but this wasn't replaced.
One of the couches in the sitting area is broken and besides that is very uncomfortable.
