Great place close to a lovely village, providing a great base for exploring and having lots of walks within a good distance. Ben A’an is just 20 mins away and is a gorgeous walk.
There were plenty of facilities for cooking (air fryer, microwave, hobs) for being self sufficient.
Access was through the owner’s property past their very vocal dogs, which wasn’t a problem for us but if you don’t like dogs bear this in mind - it just meant we tended not to leave unless we were going somewhere. Got a little chilly at night but there were extra blankets and radiators to use.

Hosts are super nice people and I was riding National Cycle R 7 so it was a perfect location for me. Quiet and super peaceful.
Strathyre has very limited services and I couldn't get any food services from the immediate area the one night I stayed.

Easy to find house and cosy room with to/wifi.
Small but well equipped kitchen complete with tea and coffee plus breakfast cereals.
Small seating area with table for meals plus outside bench and table in fine weather. Couple of minutes walk from handy local mini market which stocks a good range of foodstuffs.
The shared bathroom was fine but could be inconvenient if all rooms were full.
Our room was next to bathroom/loo so light sleepers maybe disturbed…
But the fact it’s shared is clearly stated and reflected in the room cost.

Ken and Mandy were both very welcoming and lovely to chat to. The room was very comfortable and clean. We were offered some nice comforts such as milk, tea, coffee, cereal. I'm sure we will be back in future! :)

Self catering kitchen was well equipped for cooking own meals. Room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. Bathroom and shower were great. Huge TV linked up to all the networks. Cuddly German Schnauzers! Warm dressing gowns and duvet. Great location for activities in the Trossachs.

This accommodation being in such a remote location gave the impression of tranquility, surrounded by nature. There are many lovely walks in the vicinity located in the beautiful Trossacks National Park. The rooms were clean and offered most creature comforts. Our host Ken was very friendly and helpful (including returning spectacles we had left behind).
As the venue was full that evening parking was rather tight but this is only a minor issue.

Comfortable bedroom with good facilities for self catering if required. Good eating out options within a short drive. Excellent location for accessing good hiking options.
Although there was a plug in heater option it was difficult to get walking gear dried for the following days hiking.

The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The owners were friendly (and the dogs were cute.)
The water did not get hot enough to enjoy a shower.
We booked expecting a double bed and 2 singles but there were 2 doubles which was not as comfortable for us.

The host was very friendly and we were allowed to use all facilities. There were even some sweets in the kitchen!
The bathroom ventilation was a bit noisy in the bedroom.

It was a self catering arrangement with a shared kitchen and bathroom peaceful location close to village facilities.
Not much option for those wishing to eat out without transport though the local cafe served a good selection of food between 10.00-5.00pm
Very noisy with other guests on the first night!

Very conveniently located for us on our cycle ride along the NCN route 7. Comfortable room with good facilities. Very helpful hosts.
Not much to dislike. Not close to restaurants for an evening meal but there was a kitchen and the Broch Café in the village does a fabulous breakfast.

Locations was great for the town & Rob Roy Way walk which we were doing. Ken was a great host and made us feel very welcome.

The solitude, close to nature.
We were lucky as we were the only people there so we had the bathroom all to ourselves. We might have felt less comfortable if we met someone in the middle of the night.

When arrived we found parking difficult due to the number of owbers old cars parked. The bedroom was at one end of the property not really suited to wheelchair access, with a disabled shower the opposite end of the property. There was a lack of teabags and sugar in the shared kitchen
Parking, not a property suitable for wheelchair user
