Quite disappointed, but location wasn't too bad.

They were in a lock box, code confirmed by the host beforehand. Easy to open. The host was easily contacted. The location was not too far from the centre. The apartment is quite large over two floors and the host did provide a folder with info in.

Lock box not easily seen and the area where it said it would be with a sign, there was no actual sign or numbered space. The car space provided was in a very narrow road and place behind the building and not seen from the apartment. The cleanliness was disappointing and the property could do with some maintenance. The front door in my opinion was not safe or secure and the light switch outside the property door which leads down the staircases did not work and appeared broken. It was quite a faff accessing the apartment with all the keys. It was also very noisy for us on the nighttime with dogs barking below and the unfortunate sound of traffic and trains. It could be a great place if there was a few things fixed.

The gates to get in from the carpark and stairs, I feel this should have been mentioned incase you have anyone with mobility issues. Luckily we where all good. Car park area very small I only just got my car (ford smax) down the lane and parked

Nice clean apartment in a great location. Had everything and more than you could have asked for in an apartment. For saying it is situated close to a main road and a railway line it was really very quiet. Nicely decorated and furnished. Good price paid considering the time of year. Would certainly consider using if visiting York again.

This is no fault of the hosts but I never received the email with instructions for getting the keys so had to ring the host to find out how ( more about O2 than the hosts for which I apologise) . Once I had signed into the wifi the email came through .However it would probably be better if the email was sent the evening before so you have all the info before leaving.

Station view

The apartment was very clean, tidy, comfortable & well presented The heating was good and ajustable from the kitchen.

Parking was very tight and the apartment gap has no sign to indicate you are in the right place ( back right as you drive in ) There are 4 doors to go through to reach the apartment and all have different keys so felt a bit like a trial just getting in but all adds to the adventure.

Great stay at Station View apartment

Arrived early at station View apartment and was allowed to park and take things into apartment before we went to the christmas market which was brilliant saving us having to pay parking in town. Apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Location is excellent for the christmas market and city centre as well as the railway station.

Road noise is a bit annoying but that cannot be helped didn't affect our sleep as it dies down after 11pm.

The apartment was hard to get into, located on a third floor. Once entering property the front door lock wouldn’t work and felt very unsafe. The smell of smoke from the flat below filled the property (obviously not the hosts fault) Overall clean however when looking closer could do with a deep clean. The room on top floor okay until opening the small door- small attic which was very unappealing- door doesn’t close properly, letting cold into room. Could do with getting a lock for that door.

Great location, beautiful apartment with parking.

Great communication from the host, parking was available and the apartment was in a great location. Facilities were clean and good quality. Would happily stay again or reccomend to friends and family 10/10. Many thanks to the host who helped with parking and communicated promptly.

It was spotlessly clean , modern and had everything we needed.

The windows didn’t appear to seal in order to block out all of the traffic noise. The shower kept going hot and cold but I could’ve been something we weren’t aware of with the heating system

Short, sweet and stylish

We liked the ample cutlery, towels and shower gels etc that were put out for us. The flat was tastefully decorated and clean. It was also close to station and only a 20 minute walk into the centre.

The flat is on the third floor up quite a few steps so if you have accessibility issues or prams etc this might not be for you.

Location could not have been better.

The third floor apartment was difficult for access for one of our party who uses a wheelchair and climbing stairs is very difficult. We did request the return of our purple throw which we left in the living room by answerphone message but as yet we have not received a response.

Close to train station

Access to the car park and into the property was very difficult. Many keys and many stairs up narrow dark stairwell. After receiving advice we could check in early we arrived to find the property had not yet been cleaned from previous users. It also smelled of smoking. We decided to move on and find somewhere else to stay.

First impressions on arrival was not good, however once inside, the apartment itself was lovely, perfect for what we needed for an overnight stay. Had it not been for the stairs I would certainly book again. Perfect for agile visitors, too many stairs if you have mobility issues. The apartment itself is very clean, comfortable and well equipped.

The stairs posed a problem for me as I have some mobility problems.

Really great stay at station view apartment, great for the family and dogs.

Location, very close to York city centre and could see the trains from the kitchen and bathroom window. Really loved that by using the sofa bed we got a bedroom each (my children would never get to sleep in the same room). Having a car park space is really amazing as it's in with the price for the amount of time you are staying. cost of car park in York can be 25.00- 35.00 for the day.

bathroom door lock is broken, would have loved this to have been working for my children. Sofa bed is not comfy to sleep on, however the two beds in the bedrooms are.

Beautiful apartment.

The apartment was beautiful. Lovely new modern furniture and fittings. Fantastic large walk-in shower. The kitchen looked brand new. Lovely large Georgian sash windows throughout the apartment (2 skylight windows on top floor). Lovely large comfy beds.

It was a task getting into the apartment..you first have to locate keysafe with No apartment signage... then too many keys for outside gates, doors etc. It could be simplified with just the 1 key for the front door as it's only a short stroll round to the car park at back of building. Second problem...no light bulb in the socket outside apartment door so it's very dark and unnerving especially at night as it's up a small flight of narrow stairs! Smell of cigarette smoke in hallways, but this seemed to be from the property below, so nothing the host can do about that but just wanted to mention it. Lastly, maybe the addition of a couple of small bottles of water in the fridge, especially in the hot summer months, would be nice.

loved the apartment, fantastic facilities, had everything we needed! beds are super comfy and everything we could think of was there for us! having use of a fire stick and wifi was even better! really enjoyed our stay, will book again!

only think that i could say is wouldve liked and earlier check in time option! but everything was fantastic, really good location, close to the center, and really felt like home away from home, and lovely and clean!

Disappointing!

The living room was nice to all spend time in, the TV worked well and had access to Netflix, Disney+ etc, if you had your own log ins. The bathroom was clean. The location was very good, just a 15 minute walk into the city centre.

Accessing the property isn’t simple, you have to go through a series of gates and doors and locking them all behind you with several different keys, lots of steps so if someone struggles with this then this would not be ideal. Parking is limited, so if you have more than one car, you will need to find space elsewhere. We were very disappointed by the strong smell of cigarette smoke throughout the property, we believed this to be coming from the flat below, but as this said it was a non-smoking property, the smell was not pleasant. Opening the windows and using air freshener did not help either. Though the property looked tidy, it was not cleaned well, the bedsheets were filthy and covered in hair, which was quite disgusting. After ringing the owner, she was very apologetic and sent the cleaner straight away. However when the cleaner turned up she was rude and only changed the bottom sheet of the bedding not the duvet and pillows. As well as this, it was very noisy, with noise from the flat below and also the railway and main road. We will not be staying here again.

Lovely property, just needs easier entry.

Perfect for what we needed. Clean and comparable. On a bus route 5 minutes to and from town. Dishwasher, washing machine, lovely bathroom. Kitchen had everything you need. 10 minutes from train station. Pubs and shops nearby.

We didn’t drive and accessing the property was very awkward if you didn’t drive. Having to go round back to get 5 sets of keys to access the property and to leave was very confusing and inconvenient. Maybe a set of keys at front for none drivers. The loft space next to the upper bedroom should be clean and locked. Very off putting. We had elderly mother with us who struggled immensely with the stairs. Please put on description of property as it is unsuitable for some people. There was a strong smell of smoke throughout the property.

Lovely area, owners very helpful, beautiful apartment but little disappointed so sorry.

Beautiful apartment modern and clean, loved the quaint garden area when we walked in, loved railway behind to watch trains, view from top floor was great!

On arrival the smell of stale smoke really strong made it feel unclean although the apartment was spotless, none of us are smokers so it wasn’t nice, and the welcome book did mention no smoking allowed so it was quite strange, the WiFi didn’t work although quick contact from the owner and she was very helpful but it never got fixed so we had to use our own data, the tv didn’t have any Ariel so we couldn’t get any channels so unable to watch tv either. We just slept there and left before 8am.

Great location for sightseeing and very comfortable.

The facilities were lovely and the shower was great.

The entry via the back gates and doors made it a bit of a task to get from the car to the apartment. Successive nights may have negated this aspect but as we stayed for only a single night, it was quite an effort to get luggage to the bedrooms.

Fabulous location . Easy 20 mins walk to the heart of Yorks pedestrian streets. Very close walk to train Station. Modern newly refurbished kitchen and beautiful spacious bathroom with a great walk in shower. New double glazed traditional sash windows. Comfortable beds. Two double beds and one pullout sofa bed in the lounge. Very clean and bright apartment. Host extremely helpful, communicated promptly via messages and allowed us to check in slightly earlier. Clear instructions for finding the property & check in procedure using key safe box. Own dedicated parking space at back of property a real plus. Quaint well maintained shared courtyard. As Surrounding apartments have permanent residents.

Personally nothing. It perfectly suited our needs and I would definitely stay again. However the apartment is on the top floor of a large house, with many flights of stairs. Therefore may not be suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. Also the one of the bedrooms (and the lounge with the sofa bed) are at the front of the house which has a busy road .. which during the night was quite noisy. So best to bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

Too many gates and doors to get to parked car, WiFi was rubbish, so tv didn’t work either that needs sorting. Noise at night from road but hey it’s a road. Beds ok but could be better. Great shower and kitchen.
