Perfect stay for a weekend away

Overall we enjoyed our stay in a well located cosy property.

Appreciated that milk was left in the fridge and heating was turned on before our arrival. Lovely host. Location to town was excellent, parking snug but we managed to get our suv parked within the red brick boundary. We liked the modern, fresh layout of the property and appreciated the effort to decorate the living room so it was festive,. The beds in box room and twin room were comfy, We liked the kitchen layout, and provision of kitchen basics. Great dog friendly place to stay.

Mainly the mattress in the double bed room was terrible. Even my daughter couldn't sleep on it and she likes a softer mattress. Sadly the last visitor left foil with remnants of burnt cheese on the oven tray which wasn't picked up when the place was tidied before our arrival. However that wasn't a major issue. Finally wifi kept dropping, but that's due to Plusnet and not the host.

Perfect location within easy walking distance of the city centre, beautifully presented accommodation, very well equipped and maintained, very clear instructions and information throughout. Very quiet location and convenient parking outside the property.

Family time

The location was great quiet yet a couple of minutes walk to the river and centre of York and the host was brilliant so helpful and great communication.

Nothing we didn't like but if ever there was opportunity of renting a second parking space in the courtyard would be great if needed.

Excellent property, very well equipped and clean. Walking distance to the centre.

The only issue would be with the parking. It was difficult to manoeuvre our Q5 through the entrance arch and the parking space is on a small side. Other than that, everything else was great.

The house is lovely. Really stylish, very clean and very comfortable beds The location is excellent-10 minute walk to the station, ten minutes to central York

The parking is very very tight- we had a mini and anything bigger would have been a real challenge to park. However it had parking which is a real bonus considering the location

Amazing apartment - totally worth it

The location was perfect! It was close to the centre of York and it was a great apartment. Had everything we could ever need. The 3rd bedroom was great! The second bedroom had 2 beds which were perfect for the kids. The second toilet downstairs came in handy too. Kitchen had everything you need too. Amazing apartment!

The sides of the bed in the main bedroom were sunken in but we let the owner know and they were very responsive. We were only there for 2 nights so didn't worry us too much. The stairs were a bit steep but didn't cause us too many issues 😀 Parking was a little tight for a large car but we managed it.

The property was very clean and comfortable with all little extras like shower gel.

The rooms are incredibly light with only shutters on the inside. Sadly, with it being summer, the light evenings and early mornings really did affect the children- they were up about 4am.

The house is really well decorated in a modern style. There is everything you need included. It's very central and so easy to walk to the river and the town centre. There is a parking space, it's not huge but was fine for a Q2.

Perfect location for exploring York

Perfect location, you can easily explore all of the top York attractions on foot from the house. Nice decor, well equipped kitchen, comfy rooms. Great to have a parking space, and as others have mentioned, it is tight, but we managed in a Qashqai.

Exceptional

The hosts were extremely helpful leading up to and during our stay. All details I needed were provided. The house itself was in a beautiful gated area which made us feel extremely safe. The home was right in the centre of York so we had easy access to anything we needed. The house was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated and felt warm and cosy, like a real home from home. The beds were comfy and some lovely basics provided such as tea, coffee and fresh milk. We stayed at the home to celebrate my sisters wedding and it suited our needs perfectly, as a small family going to this event. I would definitely stay here again.

The property was immaculate, had a little blip with the heating, but the owners came out straight away and was sorted within the hr. Amazing service, and property was gorgeous. Would defo book again. Had one of the best nights sleep I have in ages. The little touches were great with the biscuits, tea, coffee, shower gel and shampoo, which I took a photo of and ordered for home... Was so nice. Thanks you so much for a great weekend stay.

Lovely place

Stayed here two years ago and loved it then. So this is our second stay at Corner Lodge. The parking spot is great, right next to the house. The kitchen was beautiful and so well equipped. The location was very quiet but just a short walk from the centre of everything. Highly recommended. All the little touches (milk, biscuits, Christmas tree etc) were very much appreciated.

Excellent Escape

The house was beautifully furnished and refurbished. The lady Rachel helped us to check if we could check in before 3pm as we arrived earlier than expected and very thankfully we were able to. The bedrooms were decent sizes and plenty of wardrobe spaces. Really felt like home away from home. All the kitchen amenities were complete. Perfect stay with a group of friends to enjoy. Location was hard to beat.

There's a bit of creaky floors but not very big issue. If the windows are open in the master bedroom, you can hear a lot of echo and noise from outside but rarely disturbing. The water pressure in the master bedroom wasn't the best, although the main bathroom had great water pressure. There's really nothing completely negative.

A weekend Away

A super find as it was a great location, 5 minutes from city ce ntre. A lovely house with everything you need. Beds were comfortable, just what you need after a day of sightseeing. The owner even came out in the rain to fix a minor problem.
