109 Nunnery Lane - a House of York holiday home

Really great little place, had everything we could have needed. We only stayed a few days but the house is equipped enough for a longer stay. Beds are comfy, location is good. The hop on hop off bus picks up at the end of the road, a really short distance from the house. Plenty of places to eat and drink 1 min walk away (most stop serving food early) but it's great during the day, there's a couple of nice bars that were open later on. Central York is only a 10 min walk away so It's ideal really.

The host Ester was fantastic, and the property had milk, biscuits, tea, and coffee for us, which goes above expectations. Claire and Alistair kept us updated with everything. They were all very professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. And Ester had great knowledge of York. Honestly, first-class service. The property was located 5 minutes away from the Punch Bowl, had a shop around the corner, and the shopkeeper couldn't have been more helpful, telling us the best place to eat. Pig and Pastry I recommend. However, Blossom Cafe had the worst bacon sandwich I've ever had; I picked it up and my hands were full of grease. Going back to the property, from the start it was extremely homely, a home-from-home feeling, absolutely spotlessly clean, and had fresh towels, toilet rolls, hand wash, body wash, shampoo, and cleaning products supplied. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend both the property and hosts. 5************.

It was very comfortable and within easy reach of the town centre. The host was very friendly and helpful. York is a beautiful place, and no 109 was the same.

The blocked window at the front window Would be nicer with a blind or void for privacy
