We hadden er een hele dag in de kou en regen opzitten en het huis was heel fris. Maar de chauffages snel aangezet en het warmde snel op.

What a magnificent place! Villa Thérèsa is a stunning old five-bedroom family house, full of character, charm and a wonderful sense of history. The house is absolutely beautiful, with a lovely garden, a magnificent dining room overlooking the greenery, a games room, a TV room and beautifully appointed bedrooms, some with en-suite bathrooms and others with shared facilities. We stayed in a bedroom with a shared bathroom, and surprisingly, I actually loved having the bathroom separate from the bedroom! Somehow, it added to the old-world charm and made the experience feel even more authentic, like staying in a grand family home rather than a hotel. And that is exactly what makes this place so special. It has such a warm, welcoming, homely atmosphere. You genuinely feel as though you are staying with relatives in their beautiful old family house, rather than being a paying guest. There is something wonderfully nostalgic and comforting about the whole place. It feels grand and stately, yet incredibly cosy and personal at the same time. We are so happy to have discovered this absolute gem in the beautiful little town of Soignies, Belgium. We will definitely be back! A truly memorable stay, and somewhere we would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who appreciates character, history and the charm of a real home away from home.
